"What in the hell are those things?"
"These little guys?" Barca laughed. "They're my way of killing you. I'm weak on my own, but with these I'm strong, plus… kekeke, I have other helpers!"
From the other side of the area, a particular group, part of Evilus, showed up, the Rudra familia.
"Well well well, what do we have here? Some justice bitches in need of killing?"
This was a man that even the white haired adventurer recognized. That's Jura Halmer! But! He's dead! And the Astraea familia? And Ardee? Everything is so different from what Ryuu told me, is this really the Great Feud she mentioned? Surely she would have told me about all of these little things. And who is this Origin Wolf person? What's going on? Huh? My body? It's moving on its own? No, I'm moving it!
"FIRE BOLT!"
Jura, not expecting a powerful magical spell to suddenly target him, was consumed by it, along with a small handful of others close by.
"I don't know what's going-" He jumped down from the roof top, drawing his daggers, landing on the ground facing down the Rudra familia. "These people… They've done something unforgivable."
"Wow kid, you've got some spunk, and all it took was a single touch from our little sister, Lion." Alise giggled.
"Wha- wha- what! Alise, I did no such thing! It was just healing his wounds, that's all!"
"Hehehe, I'm only kidding, but look at him, he's redder than my hair now. He's got a pervy side doesn't he. Kinda like Zeus, and Alraj did." She shrugged as Lion shook her. "Alright, sisters, these look to be the last of the upper ranks of Evilus. Let's get this over with, and go get cleaned up." She said, the shaking stopped, and then she announced it… "My childhood friend, Origin Wolf! He will return from his god-given mission from the deepest known level of the dungeon shortly. This conflict, harsh as it may be, will end soon!"
"HAHAHA! What bullshit are you spouting now?" Vito laughed, his sanity failing him.
"Surely you can hear it now? The empowering howl of the alpha wolf." Alise giggled. "Isn't that right, Neze?"
"Yeah, right now…" Neze smiled, checking her condition, and then… "He's on the 28th floor right now!" She smiled, and as if to fully subvert any notion of normal racial limitations, she assumed her beastified form. A humanoid looking wolf, with powerful arms, legs, body, and… her teeth grew into fangs.
Right now, everywhere in Orario, werewolves feel the change… He was close enough… Him being that close was enough to change the situation for everyone, for the second time. Now, even the regular citizenry of Orario, provided they were a werewolf, was now effectively equivalent to a high level 1, or low level 2. High, extremely high above the clouds, was the image of a full moon. Not even Erebus could see, or sense it.
With this new found strength, Neze charged head long into battle, directly challenging the metal creatures… A force of nature, against the force of the unnatural, began in that place.
Alise and the others divided up the rest of the forces, with some remaining on standby to protect the citizens from Evilus, and any stray attacks.
"Hey new guy, fight like you normally do! We'll make adjustments on the fly around you."
"Got it!"
"Ardee, are you sure about this?"
"I am."
"Call for help if you need it. Do not be so stubborn as to lose your life. The number of people who'd snap… Well-"
"Nothing more needs to be said. Don't worry, I won't die. Like I said earlier, this isn't like last time."
"Good luck."
"Thanks, you too."
Finally left alone, Ardee stared down her foe. A borderline level 7… I've been perfecting my abilities in every single regard ever since I met him. I may be level 5 right now. But, I'm anything but weak. And now… "I made an oath not to kill as long as I could, to justly handle the situation, for whatever was called for. That is the story behind my sword, Sacred Oath, this is one such situation where I won't spare any lethality. You killed my unborn baby… And I will make sure you pay for it… Dia Kaumundi."
Ardee versus Vito, the rematch began. Ardee moved as if there was nothing restricting her movements, regardless of the terrain. She blitzed right by Vito, cutting off his dominant arm before he even realized she'd moved.
"What?! How are you so fast? You weren't like this last time!? What did you use to cheat?!"
"Cheat? I'd never do such a thing. The circumstances of this fight are greatly in my favor, and you don't even realize it." She smiled.
Vito shivered from the expression on Ardee's face. She's far too at ease… How is she so much stronger than last time! I'm almost 2 levels stronger, and I can hardly see her. "No! You cheated! You're a cheater! You need to die!"
He struck with full force of his arm, in a forward leaping lunge attack.
Ardee jumped, dodging the attack in its entirety. If I hadn't been saddled with so much all at once back then, I might have been able to handle Vito. If even just one more of our level 4s had been there to help protect Lord Ganesha, I might still- No, I can't think like that. She front spun kicking the back of Vito's head.
"You know, being called a cheater is rather insulting. Especially from you, who knows so pitifully little about the falna the gods bless us mortals with. And on top of that, you're the one who had god power pumped directly into you, The reason you look the way you do now, is because your body couldn't withstand the unearned power."
"SHUT UP! And die!!!"
Vito's arm reattached itself, as if he had reached into a new ability that he didn't realize he'd had before. And then charged in with a flurry of slashes, and a mix of martial arts. However, Ardee wasn't even getting tagged.
"Why?!" He shouted. "Why can't I hit you!!!!"
Seeing her chance, with a single smooth curving motion of her sword, she parried both blades and cut Vito into three separate pieces. She then let out a heavy breath.
"You're weak."
"But I was stronger than you just a half a day ago!"
"No, you weren't. I had to protect my God, Lord Ganesha, and willingly put myself in the way of your blade, in ways that also didn't cause the baby I had growing in my womb any harm. Neither are an issue for me right now. I also had to use my buff on others back then, this time I used it on myself. And furthermore, I have a reason to fight to kill you. One that should be held just as sacred as my Oath. Avenging my child's death."
"Wha-" Vito attempted to understand, however, a sword pierced his temple, and slashed out toward the side, killing him instantly.
