Chapter 195 - C195 : Battle & Status Updates

Elsewhere, on a battle front in the northwest, one that had spread into the streets nearby the main street, and thus at any given point in the lines there wasn't much action save for the occasional explosion. While not as bad at any point on the line, it was still just as rough in total due to the insane logistical issues at hand.

However, a rather beautiful woman and her familia were taking care of most of those issues using the network they already had in place. This woman's name, Lidith Caverna, the captain of Hermes familia, whenever she arrived it lifted the adventurers spirits quite a bit until…

"Hey there everyone, I've got potions, and rations for you. Now, I wonder who I'm going to sleep with tonight. You three, want to have some fun with me tonight?"

"Ugh, just give us the rations, and other supplies."

"Hehehe, alright, your loss."

She'd run off and try her luck with another group, free and loose as she ever was, a real pervert.

Falgar sighed, and placed down the box of supplies.

"Falgar, how do you deal with a captain like her? She's a pervert."

"Yeah, but all I have to do is tell her to find four other women. If she ever does that, I promised to do it any way she wanted."

"Has she gotten close?"

"Too close, too many times. And only thanks to some others in the familia bribing the women to stay away, was I able to avoid things till now. She's like Hermes, except worse. I lost count of how many times she's peeped on us in the men's bath. And don't get started on how she slides under our legs with a creepy smile."

"Perverted women are terrifying."

"Yes, yes they are."

…

Gareth, he'd been fighting on the front lines for a while now, his equipment, sort of… Well it's worse for wear. Most of his armor, totaled, nothing ever did too much all at once, but the constant hammering away weakened bit by bit. His weapon… Well, he was using hands now. In fact most of the frontline fighters were struggling with this same issue, poorly made weapons would break in their hands before they'd be remade, yet in the hands of weaker adventurers, the same equipment could go far longer.

"Damn, how do brawlers do this all the time? It's crazy."

"Oh get over yourself Gareth. It's not that hard, it just takes some getting used to."

"Bara, I get that you've done this for a while now, but-"

"Report! Special delivery from the Cyclops. She's finished a new batch of weaponry, standard equipment, she requests that you all start using them right away. And that she is currently forging away!"

"Good timing! I was just looking to get a new weapon!"

Weapons were delivered to wherever there were first class adventurers fighting. A final push to give them all the true power their levels actually granted them.

Tsubaki stood, in a slightly crouched position, a single thought going through mind with every strike of the hammer, a number that kept decreasing till 0. Her current assistant prepared the next piece of metal, already piping hot and ripe for forging, while she did all of the final bits of tempering the weapon, whether it be a sword, or an axe, it didn't matter. When the next piece of metal was placed upon her anvil, she looked at it, hearing the voice of the metal, asking her to turn it into what it wanted to be, then she'd begin again.

Occasionally, the sparks from the forge would land on her, burning through her bindings, so instead she wore a modified breast plate to keep her well endowment out of the way and holding up the line.

Gareth held the axe in his hand, felt the weight, and smiled.

"This is a great weapon! I can take care of a lot more now."

Despite the weapons being of excellent quality, there simply wasn't enough to go around now. The front fighting the dragon thunder, was chewing through resources like a glutton at an all you can eat buffet. This included weapons, armor, food, and potions.

The sheer scale of resources required on the eastern front was staggering, so much so that anyone with half a brain could tell just from the resources, that while everyone might be fighting through hell right now, it might as well have been heaven anywhere else other than the Eastern front.

Had they paid for everything that was going that way, the price would have trillions, half a day ago. It was the city's first real example of what's actually required to fight those creatures. And now… there were a few adventurers coming to the tower for medical assistance, then turning around and heading straight back into the meat grinding hell.

The testament of their fortitude, and will power was nothing to be underestimated at this point. Something odd to note was that the ones who returned the most were the Freya familia members. The wounds, so severe some thought it was impossible to still be alive after it.

Ganesha familia home, Shakti and the other high levels in the familia arrived, all of them effectively stark naked from the waist up… There was simply no time to give a damn about things such as modesty at the moment.

"I am Ganesha!"

He'd pose. And then the child would pose as well, turn, and get their falna updated. Without question, they all leveled up, including the three in Hashana's group, who were now staying there to ensure everyone was safe… No more accidents, not like that one.

There was a moment where Shakti, and Hashana's eyes met. He tried to look away, but instead, his eyes said it all, his regret… it conveyed that he'd been too late, and too slow to stop it.

Shakti's eyes returned saying the words she couldn't bring herself to say, as well as the other bit… to prepare his balls to be emptied later.

A warm and cold shiver crawled up and down his spine. Hashana sighed, and leaned against the wall. Waited for them all to leave before uttering…

"She's a damn slave driver… The two of them together would be a nightmare. And, how did they not get… No… Don't tell me?"

"I am Ganesha! It is as you think. They lost them as well. Just, not as terribly as Ardee did. The dragons over there are not pulling their punches."

"I should've-"

"What? Don't go placing blame right now, Hashana. If you do, then it is I who is to blame for all of this. I should have demanded at least one more of you to stay behind to keep me safe instead of leaving it to Ardee. That is my fault, and no one else's."

"I'm too weak to get revenge for this loss. I'll be getting stronger from here on. I'm going to surpass Shakti."

"Good luck, you're going to need it. I'm sure Shurry will be more than willing to train you, should you ask. I am Ganesha!"
