"But... but are we just going to stand here and watch them gang up on him with sheer numbers?"
Tsunade frowned, her voice laced with indignation.
"We have to trust him," Jiraiya said calmly.
He believed in his own judgment—and in Uchiha Haru. If Haru had made this decision, then he must have had absolute confidence in it.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade!" Kakashi added. "This is Haru's decision. We should respect it."
Even though Kakashi was Haru's friend and desperately wanted to lend his strength, he knew deep down that in a clash of this scale, he might not be able to help much at all.
And even if they followed Tsunade's order and rushed forward with the entire Konoha force—then what?
Their numbers were still far too few.
Against the combined armies of Kumogakure, Iwagakure, and Sunagakure, Konoha's forces were practically negligible. That was exactly why they had lost so thoroughly in the last two wars. They hadn't even had a chance to resist.
Tsunade listened to Kakashi and Jiraiya's words, her heart still full of reluctance. But finally, she nodded.
After all, she had spent the most time with Uchiha Haru during their years in Kirigakure.
She knew what kind of man Uchiha Haru was.
She also knew—better than anyone—that if Haru had made this decision, he must be fully confident. He wouldn't have chosen this path unless he was certain.
Still, she couldn't suppress the anxiety in her chest.
But what Jiraiya and Kakashi said made sense.
She had to trust Uchiha Haru more than anyone else.
If this was his choice—she would honor it.
And so, the Konoha force stood still—led by one man.
While the entire shinobi coalition surged forward in full force.
Hovering calmly above the battlefield, Uchiha Haru surveyed the thousands of enemy ninjas with a detached gaze.
Without warning, dozens of identical wooden dragons appeared beside the one beneath his feet, conjured from thin air.
The army of Mokuton beasts roared in unison, their voices deafening and terrifying.
With a single motion from Haru, the wooden dragons charged down toward the shinobi on the ground like thunder crashing from the heavens.
"Water Release: Water Wall!"
"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"
"Earth Release: Earth Flow Rampart!"
"Lightning Release: Thunderball!"
Facing the terrifying dragons, the shinobi coalition looked small and fragile.
But their numbers were staggering. Like a living tide, they surged endlessly forward.
Still, they weren't helpless. The coalition immediately formed tight formations and retaliated with synchronized ninjutsu.
Individually, most of these ninjas weren't powerful—but hundreds or thousands casting the same jutsu together created a force that rivaled even Kage-level techniques.
So, even though the Mokuton dragons were mighty, they were temporarily held back.
In the next moment, the coalition completed their joint counterattack.
Powerful elemental blasts slammed into the wooden dragons' bodies, which were as hard as steel.
Colors burst across the battlefield—flames, lightning, water, and earth mixing in a chaotic display of destructive beauty.
But beneath the spectacle lurked tremendous power.
Gradually, people began to notice cracks forming along the dragons' wooden scales.
Scars ripped through their bodies—burned, blasted, shattered.
Then, with a thunderous crack, one of the dragons finally splintered into pieces, its enormous body exploding into wooden shards.
The shinobi coalition roared.
They had blocked it!
They had actually blocked one of Uchiha Haru's jutsu!
Even though it had taken thousands of them, even though they were exhausted and strained just from resisting a single attack—it didn't matter.
Because in their hearts, Uchiha Haru had always been an invincible legend.
And now, for the first time, they had withstood his power.
That was enough to spark hope.
If they could resist his jutsu… then maybe, just maybe, he could be defeated.
Even though that one jutsu alone had drained a frightening amount of chakra from their ranks, even though fatigue had begun to creep into their limbs, it didn't matter in that moment.
The emotional high of surviving Haru's onslaught outweighed the physical toll.
They shouted in triumph and surged forward again.
From the Konoha side, the mood shifted.
The once-invincible Uchiha Haru had been pushed back—even if only slightly.
Eyebrows furrowed across the line.
Maybe one person really was too limited.
This was a shinobi coalition made up of tens of thousands.
It was like trying to break a single chopstick—easy.
But try to snap a bundle of a hundred, and the difficulty soared.
Everyone understood that simple truth.
So, as they watched the dragons fall and the enemy press forward, even Konoha's elite began to waver.
Even Kakashi and the others.
They were experienced. They knew how impossible it was for one man to stand against an entire army.
Only Uchiha Haru could accept this challenge.
Standing atop a wooden dragon, suspended in the air, Uchiha Haru remained calm. His expression was cold, but deep in his eyes flickered a faint and fanatical darkness.
It had been far too long.
Too long since he had last fought with everything he had.
And now, the thousands of ninja from the coalition below finally seemed interesting enough.
They had stirred something within him—a sliver of his dormant fighting spirit.
Instead of staying airborne, Haru channeled his chakra, guiding the wooden dragon as it descended slowly to the battlefield.
The sight stunned everyone present.
Everyone knew that staying aloft meant avoiding much of the danger. Most of the ground-based ninjas wouldn't be able to reach him, let alone land an effective hit or unleash deadly ninjutsu at that altitude.
But landing changed everything.
It meant the enemy could attack him freely, using their most familiar jutsu, their deadliest tactics, without restraint.
Uchiha Haru would be surrounded—facing attacks from all directions alone.
It was an unimaginable challenge for anyone.
And yet Uchiha Haru chose to do just that.
Even if there were tens of thousands of them—he would still go.
As the ninja coalition surged toward him like a tidal wave, Haru stood firm. In that moment, his heart swelled with pride.
So what if there were so many?
They were just here to die.
"Haru!"
Everyone on the Konoha side frowned, their faces twisted with concern. Uchiha Haru could have stayed in mid-air and unleashed long-range ninjutsu to chip away at the enemy from a safer distance. Why would he willingly drop into the center of their forces?
Wasn't this exactly what the enemy wanted?
But at this point, there was nothing they could do.
All they could do was respect his decision and believe—
Believe that Uchiha Haru could rise to this impossible challenge.
That he could stop the overwhelming advance of the ninja coalition.
"Arrogant," muttered the Fourth Raikage, his eyes narrowing.
He had always thought of himself as arrogant—but after encountering Uchiha Haru, he realized he didn't even come close.
One man against thousands of ninjas.
He was truly mad.
Ōnoki and Chiyo couldn't make sense of Haru's actions either.
But unlike the Raikage, both of them felt a trace of satisfaction.
If Haru had remained airborne and continuously bombarded them with ninjutsu, the coalition would've suffered catastrophic losses.
But now—by landing, by willingly stepping into the heart of the battlefield—he had handed them an opportunity.
An opportunity to defeat him.
An opportunity to kill him.
Yet the expressions on their faces froze shortly after.
In the middle of the vast battlefield...
Uchiha Haru stood alone.
Thousands of enemy shinobi surrounded him.
He made no attempt to defend. Instead, with a sudden burst of speed, he flashed forward—right into the thick of them.
He wasn't going to wait.
He was going to attack first.
Uchiha Haru charged alone into the heart of the coalition's formation.
He was like a lone boat in a stormy sea, swaying amid the furious waves.
Enemies surged toward him from every direction.
But Uchiha Haru was fearless.
He didn't even use ninjutsu.
Only taijutsu.
Just pure physical combat.
That was how confident he was.
His body was no longer human—it had been transformed by Ōtsutsuki physiology.
With it came more than just boundless chakra.
His body healed with terrifying speed. His reflexes were heightened beyond comprehension. His movements exceeded the capabilities of normal humans.
From the moment he first obtained the Ōtsutsuki body...
He had been able to defeat Raiga Kurosuki—one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Hidden Mist—using only hand-to-hand combat.
And now, his strength had evolved far beyond that.
His Ōtsutsuki powers had grown alongside him.
Now, it was no exaggeration to say: no matter how many came at him, they couldn't hurt him.
Not even a scratch.
That was why he dared to fight the entire ninja coalition alone.
He walked into their formation as if strolling through a garden.
With a casual wave of his arm, entire squads of ninja were flung into the air like ragdolls.
And not a single enemy could even touch him.
Not for a moment.
His speed was unnatural.
His reactions were godlike.
Any shinobi who dared get close was immediately knocked back, stunned before they even had time to activate a jutsu.
They had never seen a shinobi like him.
