The soldier ran off from the place, away from the monster straight to a residential area with three or four story buildings, but the monster kept following him, the soldier was able to out run the monster for a second and had hidden behind a large dustbin, the monster kept searching for the soldier over that place, but it couldn't find him.
Suddenly, the soldier came out of hiding, ran towards the monster at full speed and cut off his left leg first, then the monster fell down. The soldier quickly slices off his head and kills him.
Another soldier, who was standing behind that soldier, calls him, "Roger! Are you alright?"
"Yeah!" The first soldier replied.
"We should run from here quickly!" The second soldier replied, his name was Ray, "Otherwise, it will wake up again and will try to kill us!"
"It won't!" Roger replied.
"How come?" Ray asked.
"Are you blind?" Roger added, "Can't you see that, I have beheaded him!"
"So, he's finished! Completely!" Ray exclaimed.
"Yeah! Let's get to the others and inform them about it!" Roger said. Both of them ran towards the other soldiers who were still fighting against those monsters and having difficulty in killing them.
On the other hand, the citizens are also getting killed by the monsters, some are still on the run. Again, a monster had grabbed a soldier this time, held the man with both hands, squeezed him brutally to his death and then tore apart his dead body. It didn't even eat the soldier, just killed him for fun.
Ray and Roger were watching the whole scenario standing beside a two story building at the South side of the market area. Roger, out of anger, takes out his sword, holds it with both hands, and then says to Ray, "Get to the others and quickly tell them that the monsters can only be killed by beheading them."
"What the hell are you even thinking of?" Ray asked him.
Roger doesn't reply to Ray's question and attacks the monster, trying to kill it. Roger runs towards the monster in full rage, but the monster has also sensed his presence behind him and quickly turns around.
As Roger shouts at the monster in rage, the monster also roared back at him. Both of them attack each other simultaneously, as soon as Roger runs down his blade by the monster's throat, the monster has also ripped up Roger's chest just with his claws.
Both of them died instantly, Roger's internal organs were brutally damaged by the dying monster's claw. It was impossible for anyone to save him by performing a surgery.
Ray was just standing there, his feet completely frozen, by the sudden death of his fellow soldier in front of his eyes. After looking at the dead body of Roger from that place for a minute, Ray finally came back to his senses and ran towards the other soldiers about the situation.
On the other side, back at the Central Square, where the Mayor of Elyria, Alden Aethon was still giving his speech to the public.
At the Northern side of the Central Square, the military had established a temporary control room for their security team inside one of the tall buildings surrounding the Square, who had been constantly monitoring the whole place during Alden's speech.
Inside the control room, while the soldiers were sharply monitoring the whole Square with the Surveillance Cameras, installed at each corner of the Square. Suddenly, one of the field telephones set-up in the control room starts ringing.
One of the soldiers noticed the telephone ringing, and went up to pick up the call. He picked the handset and then pressed the 'Push to talk' button, and then responded to the call, "Hello! Hello! Central Square control room!"
The call was from one of the Soldiers who had been fighting against the monsters, in the South western side of the town.
"Hello! Hello! I am Dunk! From the South Western side of the town. There is a pro…!" The voice from the other side of the call was not proper and also it suddenly lost the signal.
"Hello! What's happening there?" The soldier in the control room asked.
"Hey, Coin! What happened?" Another soldier in the control room turned to him and asked. His name was Sane.
"Don't know, just received a call from Dunk, of the patrolling team in the South Western Side, but before he could say anything, it lost the signal!" Coin replied.
"What is happening there?" Sane says to himself.
The telephone rings again, Coin quickly picks up the handset and presses the talk button and speaks up, "Hello! Coin speaking from the control room!"
"Hello! Hello! This is Duen, from the patrolling team in the South-western Side. We are in a huge problem!"
"What's happening there? What happened to Dunk?" Coin asked, he quickly became serious.
"We are under attack!" Duen replied, "Some kind of ugly black monsters had started attacking at the South-western Side of the Town! We couldn't stop them, out of 50 soldiers, only 9 are alive. They are now rampaging towards the Central Square."
Coin didn't reply to Duen, he quickly put down the handset, and shouted loudly to the other soldiers in the room, "We are under attack!"
"Inform about the matter to Commander Coogler!" Sane turned around and shouted, "Now!"
A soldier ran out of the control room to go down outside, to the stage to inform Coogler about it.
Commander Coogler, who had been watching the Mayor's speech from the stage, received the news of the Monsters attack from the soldier. His face darkened with concern, he couldn't understand what to do.
Minister Tyrell noticed the tension on Coogler's face, he quickly moved towards Commander Azoff and speaks something to him. Commander Coogler stood up from his seat and went towards Mayor Alden and quickly informed him about the situation, who was still on stage, waving to the crowd.
"Sir, there's a problem!" Commander Coogler speaks up to Alden.
"And what's that problem?" Alden asked. He was still looking at the public.
"We are under attack! Some kind of mysterious monsters had attacked on the South-western side of the town." Commander Coogler replied.
"Get serious Coogler! Monsters don't exist!" Alden replied in a low voice while still waving at the public.
"I am serious, sir!" Coogler replied, "We already had lost 40 soldiers from the patrolling team, trying to stop them."
The Mayor's smile faltered, and he quickly composed himself, his eyes looking at the crowd with a mixture of fear and concern. Commander Coogler leaned in, his voice low and urgent.
"We need to evacuate the public from the Square, sir. The patrolling team wasn't able to hold off the monsters for much longer." Commander Coogler added.
