Chapter 234 - Tang San Cuts His Flesh

"Xiao San, what agreement did you make with Dugu Bo? Why did he capture you and bring you there?" the Grandmaster asked.

Tang San said, "That old fellow Dugu Bo caught me because he wanted me to pay for what happened to his granddaughter. At first, I almost got killed by him, but later I found out he was poisoned. I happened to know how to detoxify him, so I used that to threaten him. That's the only reason I survived. The agreement is simple—if I help him remove the poison, he'll let me go."

"So that's how it is," Flender said.

"That Dugu Bo is truly shameless! A Titled Douluo bullying a Soul Elder—living to that age only to throw his face on the ground," Grandmaster growled.

Liu Erlong said, "The rumors say Dugu Bo acts purely on whims, with no logic or reason. Didn't expect it to be this accurate."

"Xiao San, are you confident you can detoxify him?" the Grandmaster asked worriedly.

He feared that if Tang San failed, he might still end up dying in Dugu Bo's hands.

Dugu Bo's vicious reputation wasn't a joke. It was said he didn't even put the Spirit Hall in his eyes, and he had a major feud with one of Spirit Hall's Elders.

Tang San sighed. "Originally, I had fifty percent confidence. But because of… certain reasons, I only have thirty percent now."

"Only thirty percent?" Grandmaster's face darkened.

"If only Hao Tian Douluo were here… In front of him, Dugu Bo would be nothing," Grandmaster muttered internally.

Unfortunately, he had no idea where Tang Hao even was now.

"Xiao San, why don't we just leave Heaven Dou City?" Grandmaster said.

Tang San shook his head. "Teacher, I want to give it a try. See if I can detoxify that old fellow."

Grandmaster frowned. "With such little certainty? Why take that risk? You might lose your life."

Tang San said, "If I can really remove his poison, there's a high chance I'll earn his friendship. The friendship of a Titled Douluo is a huge benefit to our academy. And besides… it's a challenge. I like challenges like this."

There was another reason he didn't mention—he planned to create the Tang Sect in the future. A sect couldn't thrive without powerful support.

And Dugu Bo specialized in poison—perfectly aligned with Tang Sect's methods.

Tang San believed that if he taught Dugu Bo even a fraction of Tang Sect's poison techniques, the man would become even more terrifying.

And Tang San had absolute confidence in his knowledge of Tang Sect poison.

Grandmaster didn't continue trying to persuade him, but made up his mind: once Tang San's injuries healed, he would go look for Dugu Bo himself.

He didn't believe Dugu Bo would dare harm Tang San with Tang Hao looming overhead.

Besides, Tang San and Dugu Bo had no deep hatred—Tang San only beat Dugu Yan. That wasn't enough to warrant killing.

Traveling at full speed, they soon reached Heaven Dou City.

The former Shrek teachers and Dai Mubai's group were already waiting at the academy gate.

Tang San had been missing for an entire day. The teachers were anxious.

Tang San was one of Shrek's most outstanding students—gifted, hardworking. Though he had made a small mistake before, he corrected it quickly. So they naturally didn't want anything bad to happen to him.

Dai Mubai and Oscar had worry on their faces, while Ma Hongjun casually curled his lips, not seeming very concerned.

Ma Hongjun yawned. "Teacher, it's late. Doesn't look like we'll get news today. How about we go cultivate first?"

A sixty-year-old teacher nodded. "Go back. I understand you're worried, but don't let it delay your training."

"Don't worry, I always train late into the night," Ma Hongjun patted his chest, turning to return to the dorm—

"The dean's back!" a teacher suddenly shouted.

Ma Hongjun froze and turned. Flender was flying toward the gate like a bolt of lightning, carrying Tang San on his back.

Liu Erlong, carrying the Grandmaster, paused briefly and shouted, "Tang San is gravely injured! Get someone to treat him immediately!"

Then she continued rushing toward Tang San's dorm.

The teachers all panicked and immediately went to make arrangements.

"Let's go!" Dai Mubai dashed toward the dorm.

Minutes later, Tang San's room was packed. Healing teachers were already treating him, and Oscar handed over his sausage.

With both external treatment and Oscar's support, Tang San recovered far faster than if he had done it alone.

Internal injuries weren't too hard to treat, but the limb injuries would still take time even with healing soul masters.

Ten minutes later, the first round of treatment stopped.

At this moment, the Grandmaster removed Tang San's shirt and pants, leaving him only in his undergarments.

The dozens of egg-sized black bulges on Tang San's body were finally revealed.

Everyone was shocked. What a vicious method.

Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Zhao Wuji instantly remembered the day Tang San first enrolled—when Zhao Wuji was hit by Tang San's hidden weapons.

Back then, Zhao Wuji showed similar symptoms, though he recovered quickly and the bulges didn't rot.

But Tang San's condition now… was horrifying.

"Tang San, what happened?" Zhao Wuji asked.

The Grandmaster took out a sharp knife. "We'll talk later. We need to remove the necrotic flesh first—can't delay."

Liu Erlong handed him a towel. The Grandmaster stuffed it into Tang San's mouth. "Xiao San, endure it."

"Come, Teacher. I can take it." Tang San bit down hard and tapped several points around each bulge.

The Grandmaster's heart ached, but he still lowered the blade.

One cut—and a chunk of necrotic flesh came off. Looking closely, they could even see a curled golden thread hidden inside.

Oscar and Ma Hongjun gulped. The brutality of the scene made them deeply uncomfortable.

Tang San felt nothing from the first cut—those areas were dead flesh anyway.

The Grandmaster said darkly, "Xiao San, I have to scrape the inside clean. Hold on."

The healing soul master stood ready.

The Grandmaster inserted the knife and scraped. Soon, dark red flesh fragments came out.

Tang San's veins bulged, eyes wide, sweat pouring down like rain. His body trembled uncontrollably—the pain of a blade scraping inside living flesh was unimaginable.

Fortunately, he had sealed the blood flow beforehand, so he wasn't losing too much blood.

"Ao Tian… One day, I'll make you taste this pain too!" Tang San swore internally.

Once the Grandmaster finished, he shouted, "Heal!"

The healing soul master immediately cast the skill.

The wound scabbed quickly and the pain faded.

But the dent remained. No one knew how long it would take to regrow flesh—and even if it did grow back, it might never return to its original smoothness.

Zhao Wuji roared, "If I find out who did this to Tang San—I'll crush every bone in his body one by one!"

The Grandmaster didn't stop. He continued removing the other necrotic areas.

After more than an hour, he was drenched in sweat, and Tang San was mentally exhausted. But all necrotic flesh had been removed.

Tang San spat out the towel and let out a long breath.

Wiping sweat from his brow, the Grandmaster said, "Xiao San… what happened? Tell us everything. Your teacher will get justice for you. You can't suffer this for nothing."

Tang San paused, then said,

"It was Ao Tian who did this to me."

Ao Tian?

Impossible.

Everyone was stunned speechless by Tang San's words.
