Shin and Bael continued their journey through the forest. Shin staggered behind Bael.
He was physically drained from using a tier 3 spell. Bael sighed and shook his head as he stared at the pitiful and now exhausted Shin.
They continued walking in silence. Bael started drifting off while walking.
*******
Bael stood before a temple entirely made of obsidian, ruby and quartz. He turned his head and looked around at the mountains nearby.
Just as he was taking in the view, someone reached down to him and grabbed his hand.
"What's the matter son?" The man asked as he hoisted a toddler Bael and put him on his shoulders.
"Nothing father," Bael responded.
Clamore looked up and smiled at him. He turned around and headed towards the temple.
"Let's go then. The demon god wants to meet you," Clamore said in a cheerful tone.
They walked into the temple.
"Those statues look cool," Bael said in awe.
They continued walking through the temple as Bael continued pointing in marvel at the craftsmanship of the pillars and altars.
They marched through a corridor into a large throne room filled with obsidian thrones, gold coins and trinkets lying around on the floor.
"Student. Who have you brought to me today," a voice called out with a deep bellowing voice.
Bael was spooked and turned to look at the person speaking. He saw a tall man seating on a large obsidian throne.
His long white hair had been tied into a ponytail. He wore a large black trench coat and had a sword on his belt with a chain around it.
The man smiled.
"Master, you knew I would bring my child today. You asked me to bring him!" Clamore yelled.
Ahahahahahahahahahaha ha ha ha ha ha ha a.
The demon god laughed. He got up from his throne and stratted over to them. He was followed by ten demons clothed in black.
They each had a black veil covering their faces. Each had a black halo above their heads, nine having four demonic wings and one had six demonic wings.
The angels circled around Clamore and Bael.
"Aww, he looks just like his mother,"
"No. He looks like his father,"
"No. She's right he looks more like his mother,"
The angels spewed out comments one after the other in rapid succession. The angels overwhelmed Clamore as they rushed to hug and cuddle Bael.
Clamore evaded the angels and went to the demon God's side. Bael lifted his head to look at the demon God's face.
What he saw was a black mask that hid his face. The demon god patted Bael on the head and messed up his night black hair.
"I hope you grow up to be better than this worthless student of mine," the demon god said sarcastically.
Clamore looked up at him with his bloody red pupils. He glared at the demon god.
"I'm not worthless. You're just a bad teacher," Clamore said still glaring at him.
The demon god turned his head to look at him. The mask on his face disappeared revealing his shiny grey-green eyes.
Clamore looked away.
"Who said that," Clamore said under his breath.
Bael laughed and the angels followed suit.
*******
"Hey Bael," Shin called out.
Bael snapped back to reality and turned to look at Shin.
"When was the last time you visited the demon God's temple?" Shin asked, now breathing steadily.
"When I was eight," Bael answered still lost in thought.
"How long ago was that?" Shin asked.
" A hundred and twelve years ago," Bael answered still lost in thought.
Shin opened his eyes wide.
HOW!? you don't look a day over twenty.
They continued walking till Bael stopped. Shin followed suit looking confused.
Bael looked up at a figure watching them. He couldn't clearly see any notable features but he could tell it was a man dressed in robes.
He stared for a while and then the man disappeared.
Bael looked at Shin.
"Let's keep on moving. There should be a village nearby," Bael said as he started walking.
The two continued on their journey but Bael was more alert now.
