Wade Wilson, the Deadpool of the main universe, wore a look of surprise and eagerness on his face, his eyes locked onto the Sling Ring in Cassandra's hand.
To him, this ancient artifact wasn't just a key to his hometown—it was his only hope to stop a cosmic catastrophe and destroy the Time Crusher threatening all of reality.
At that critical moment, the ring seemed to be pulled by an invisible force. It suddenly slipped free from Cassandra's fingers, tracing a dazzling arc through the air and flying off.
Everyone present was stunned. Deadpool shouted in disbelief, "Who the hell?! Who's behind this?!"
They turned in the direction the Sling Ring had flown—and saw a familiar figure.
"Wanda...?" There was uncertainty in Wade's voice. The image of the Scarlet Witch, an Avenger with formidable magical power, flickered across his mind.
But the Wanda before them radiated a disturbing aura—an intertwining of black and crimson, an aura that seemed to devour everything around it. Her eyes were as dark as the abyss, filled with madness and unshakable determination.
Even more jarring was her hair: no longer a singular bright red, it had split into two distinct halves. One side was pitch-black like ink; the other was as blood-red as fresh wounds—so vividly red it looked as though each strand had been soaked in suffering and rage.
"It's obvious Wanda's not the good guy here. My god, she's even scarier than that old hag Cassandra!"
(Author!!! You can't just change the script on your own! I love the Avengers—and I love the actress who plays Wanda. Her looks! Her fame! Do you even know how much I cried during the series? What's wrong with her wanting her kids back?!)
(But this is my scene! If she shows up, who's gonna watch me?! Do you know final cuts must be original?! Fine—let me keep performing. Just pay me more!)
Cassandra was furious that someone dared steal from her.
Their "game" had already been interrupted multiple times today, and her patience was wearing thin.
"Wanda? What's the meaning of this? I spared your life once. How dare you come back here? Since you've come—you won't be leaving again," Cassandra growled.
While Cassandra's power in the Void was immense—enough to "cover the sky with one hand"—there were still a few forces she preferred not to provoke.
As her mind drifted to those troublesome elements, a glint of complex emotion flickered in her eyes. Chief among them: the Deadpool Army patrolling the edges of the Void. Though not individually strong, their sheer madness and immortal bodies made them a logistical nightmare—even for her.
She had tried to eliminate them more than once, but each attempt failed. Eventually, she resigned herself to letting them roam the borders.
The Loki Army was even worse. That enigmatic old Loki, with his masterful illusions, had woven a confusing web of trickery throughout the Void. Even Cassandra—with all her telepathic prowess—struggled to pierce his veil of lies.
And then there was Loki, the God. His divine presence hovered like a sword over the Void, a constant reminder that even the strongest must respect greater forces.
Finally, there were the exiles—lunatics more deranged than Cassandra herself. Most who entered the Void were timeline-breaking mutants.
The weak ones were culled or reduced to beasts of burden. Only a few of the strong survived.
Among the worst were those imprisoned by the Time Variance Authority—maniacs who destroyed their own universes and now sought to destroy others.
The Black Witch standing here—merged with Wanda—was one of them.
Hearing Cassandra's scornful laugh, the Black Witch Wanda sneered, "You're not all that. If you hadn't been hoarding the Sling Ring instead of using it, I'd have left this damned place ages ago."
Indeed, it was rare for someone like Doctor Strange to be exiled to the Void. And even if he was, he could always escape.
The only Sorcerer Supreme who didn't… was killed by Cassandra.
"Wanda, come on! I'm an Avenger too! I'm Ave!" Deadpool exclaimed, trying his best to sound persuasive. "You may not know me, but I know you. Open the portal! My world's about to be crushed by the Time Crusher. As an Avenger, you have to save the world!"
"What kind of trash are you?" Wanda hissed. "I don't want to save the world. I want to absorb the Time Crusher's power and obliterate every world! I want all the multiverse to die with Vision!"
With that, the Black Witch casually waved her hand—and a chaotic wave of energy burst forth. Deadpool was blasted backward like a ragdoll, slamming into a stone wall and crashing to the floor in a heap.
"You dare touch my things?!"
Cassandra immediately retaliated, unleashing her telepathy while Wanda summoned pure chaos magic. Their powers clashed in a dazzling display.
Cassandra closed her eyes, focusing intensely. A subtle ripple surged through the air like an undercurrent beneath a calm lake.
She raised her hands slowly, fingertips trembling—channeling an invisible force.
Her eyes suddenly snapped open, beams of brilliant energy shooting straight at the Black Witch.
Wanda stood in a vortex of her own summoning, wearing a mocking smile as if Cassandra's attack were beneath her.
But as the beams touched the vortex, the entire battlefield trembled.
The swirling mass of darkness began to convulse, letting out unholy, screeching wails as it was torn apart by Cassandra's focused energy.
Wanda's face twitched. She quickly regained composure and began forming intricate seals with her fingers, chanting an ancient, arcane incantation.
A new wave of chaotic energy surged from the vortex, forming black tentacles that lashed toward Cassandra like living serpents.
Unfazed, Cassandra stood firm. She inhaled deeply, then unleashed her full telepathic might.
Rings of pale blue light radiated from her body, expanding rapidly and colliding with the black tendrils in a shower of sparks and thunderous roars.
The fight between Cassandra and the Black Witch Wanda reached a tense stalemate—neither side willing to give an inch.
But there was no time for deadlock.
Meanwhile, on the ground floor of the fortress, Gambit, Blade, and the others had just finished a brutal fight with the mutant army. The floor was littered with shattered weapons and scorched debris. The acrid scent of gunpowder hung heavy in the air.
Exhausted but unbroken, the heroes stood tall. Fire still burned in their eyes.
Just as they caught their breath, an ominous shadow loomed over the scene—an immense demonic cloud drifting silently into view.
Alioth had arrived.
The monstrous entity crawled across the sky like an avatar of annihilation, its twisted form pulsing with hunger. It exuded a desire to consume—to devour all life.
Erica stood among the fighters, her gaze fixed on the growing cloud of darkness.
Terror rose in her chest.
They all knew: Alioth had come to feed.
And the meal... was them.
