Marcus's finger snapped lightly, and a powerful impact burst from his hand.
The mechanical tentacle that had struck him was absorbed by the vibranium suit's impact absorption. Even if the vibranium suit couldn't be penetrated, it certainly couldn't hurt him.
What's more, Kraken's current power had been granted by Marcus—it would be impossible to injure Marcus with such abilities.
BOOM!
The powerful impact struck the mechanical tentacle, launching it into the air and sending it crashing hard into the ground.
"What a coincidence meeting you here. But with your weak strength, you think you can hurt me?"
Marcus's demonstration shocked everyone present.
That was a mechanical tentacle—even if it was only Dr. Otto's previous generation design, it still possessed hundreds of tons of strength.
But now it had been knocked away by Marcus's finger snap. Just how strong was Marcus?
Everyone was curious about Marcus's capabilities, even Peter, who was familiar with his strength, and Harry, who had studied fighting techniques with Marcus, were surprised.
"He really does seem like Spider-Man!"
Harry murmured. He'd originally thought those fighting skills could defeat Spider-Man when strength was equal.
But now he understood that maybe they really could beat Spider-Man.
This made Harry very excited. He'd been displeased with Spider-Man for a long time, and this time he might actually fulfill his wish to give Spider-Man a beating.
But the current question was how to get rid of this annoying octopus man—he didn't want his cash cow destroyed by this crude thug.
"Dr. Otto, can you grab this guy with those tentacles?" Harry asked.
"Yes, and I really want an explanation from this guy." Dr. Otto looked at Kraken, who was pulling his mechanical tentacle from the ground. "A thief dares appear in front of the owner. Who gave him such nerve?"
While speaking, the laboratory's mechanical tentacles rushed toward Kraken.
Almost all the mechanical arms opened their metal claws, trying to grab him.
But Kraken wasn't helpless either.
He might not match Dr. Otto in precise tentacle control, but Dr. Otto was still a novice in combat.
The mechanical tentacles behind him exerted tremendous force, leading him to quickly dodge the charging mechanical arms.
"Want to catch me? You're not qualified!"
Smiling mockingly at Dr. Otto, Kraken's mechanical tentacles punched through the wall and led him out of the laboratory.
Inside the lab, he didn't have much advantage. Not to mention Marcus, who could easily handle mechanical tentacles, even the laboratory's own mechanical arms were formidable opponents.
Standing outside the laboratory, Kraken looked at the group with a sneer.
"That little sun is mine, and I will absolutely take it."
Although he didn't know exactly how much energy the artificial sun contained, he understood that what this miniature star could give him was far more powerful than all the energy he'd collected before—which was one reason he'd chosen to strike.
The other reason was that his soul had been damaged by constant burning. Although he hadn't used the power Marcus had granted him, that didn't mean the energy wasn't eroding his body.
This left him lacking rational thought—otherwise he wouldn't openly attack a consortium he'd never dared touch before.
Now he feared nothing. As long as he could sacrifice the artificial sun, even if the army came, he could easily handle them. This was his faith in the Lotus God.
"Heh, still a fanatic. But you're just one of my experiments!"
Looking at Kraken's retreat, Marcus thought to himself.
Compared to his calmness, Dr. Otto was furious. The thief dared threaten him and wanted to steal his artificial sun.
With mechanical combination sounds, multiple mechanical tentacles formed a mechanical octopus platform in front of Dr. Otto.
This seemed designed for follow-up experiments, though it could certainly be used for combat as well.
"Oh, cool! I think the Osborn Group has another product to sell."
Looking at the mechanical octopus, Harry sighed appreciatively.
Dr. Otto mounted the mechanical octopus, controlled it to break through the wall, and chased the escaped Kraken.
"I've got to see this!"
Seeing Dr. Otto leave, Peter turned and ran outside.
That octopus man had been active in New York for a long time, and now he'd threatened to seize the artificial sun—Peter would never let him succeed.
After leaving the laboratory, Peter rushed to the bathroom, changed into his costume, and pursued Dr. Otto and the others.
"Maybe we should go watch together!"
Marcus smiled at Harry, who was eager to join in. Under the butler's watchful gaze, Harry didn't dare take any action.
After hearing Marcus's words, Harry turned to look at the butler beside him. The frowning butler nodded reluctantly after considering Marcus's suggestion.
"Mr. Marcus, as a butler, I shouldn't interfere with Master Harry's actions, but I also don't want him in danger. Could you please protect the young master? The Osborn family will pay appropriate compensation."
"Sure, it's just watching the excitement. Harry will be fine."
Marcus nodded. Protecting Harry wasn't a difficult task for him.
"Oh yeah!"
With the butler's consent, Harry shouted excitedly.
Although he was the master, the butler had served the Osborn family since Harry was young. Harry had long regarded the butler as family, not to mention the butler was worried about his safety, so his consent was important.
The butler shook his head helplessly, though there was a smile at the corner of his mouth. He also treated Harry like his own child.
After leaving the lab, Harry looked around.
"Strange, where did Peter go? He only left a few minutes before us."
"He probably chased after them. After all, he's still a trainee reporter. You know how fast reporters move."
Marcus responded with a shrug and got into Harry's luxury sports car.
Sitting in the car, Harry searched for the mechanical octopus while questioning Marcus.
"How did you catch that mechanical tentacle? I've seen the tentacle designs—they can exert hundreds of tons of force."
He was probing Marcus's strength, very curious about how Marcus had mastered such power.
"Me? That can't be explained in a sentence or two, but doing the same thing isn't difficult. You could ask Dr. Otto to research nanotechnology when we get back, then you could become like me."
While he couldn't explain the vibranium suit, he could give Harry direction. Marcus looked forward to seeing what Harry and Dr. Otto might accomplish in the future.
