"Senju of the Thousand Hands, attack You Feng directly!!" Lumis shouted. The more he looked at You Feng's calm expression, the more irritated he became.
"I activate my face-down card! Counter Gate! When I am targeted for a direct attack, I can negate it and draw one card from my deck. If the card I draw is a monster that can be summoned, I can summon it immediately." You Feng smiled faintly, looking as though everything was proceeding exactly as he had anticipated.
He drew a card and a slow grin spread across his face.
"It's a monster card Mechanicalchaser! I summon Mechanicalchaser from my hand!" With a sharp motion, You Feng slammed the card down, and the machine appeared on the field.
It was a mechanical construct with an umbrella-like structure on its back. Its glowing red eyes glared at Lumis.
"No matter how much fodder you bring, it won't be enough... I end my turn!" Lumis sneered.
"You Feng, why aren't you using your original deck? Or are you simply not trying to win?" Kaiba asked, his eyes narrowing.
"Didn't you say you could win without me? Why do you suddenly care what deck I'm using?" You Feng chuckled. "Besides, you'll see if this is 'fodder' or not soon enough. It's my turn, draw!"
"I set one monster face-down in defense position. Mechanicalchaser, attack Melchid the Four-Faced Beast!!" You Feng barked.
"Don't even think about it! I activate my face-down card, Staunch Defender! When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can select one monster on my field. My opponent can only choose that monster as an attack target, and they must attack it! Heh heh, I choose The Masked Beast!!"
Lumis waved his hand grandly. As Mechanicalchaser rushed forward, The Masked Beast lunged in front of Senju of the Thousand Hands, crushing the mechanical hunter with its massive weight!!
This wasn't an attack initiated by The Masked Beast; rather, it was the result of Mechanicalchaser's attack being redirected and reflected.
Originally, The Masked Beast had 4200 ATK, but after being hit by Shadow Spell, its strength had dropped by 700, leaving it with 3500 ATK.
Under the force of the counter-impact, You Feng had to endure 1650 points of damage. In an instant, his Life Points dropped to 2350.

"I offer Melchid the Four-Faced Beast and The Masked Beast on my field as Tributes! From my hand, I summon Masked Beast Des Gardius!" Umbra laughed as a hideously ugly monster descended from the sky.
"This guy actually offered a 3500 ATK monster as a Tribute?" Kaiba was in disbelief.
"It's obvious he has a next step planned... Moreover, that monster requires Melchid the Four-Faced Beast or Grand Tiki Elder to be summoned. When I saw that monster card earlier, I already guessed he intended to bring out Masked Beast Des Gardius. It's just a shame my attack was blocked," You Feng said calmly.

"I'm not done yet! Heh heh, I activate my face-down card, Call of the Haunted! I revive The Masked Beast back to the field!" Lumis cackled.

"Heh heh, ha ha ha! I've been waiting for you to do that! I activate my face-down card, Curse Transfer!!" Lumis shrieked with a weird laugh.
"Nani!!" Kaiba's eyes widened in shock.
