The mattress dipped under Kolton's weight as he positioned himself over Kimi, his knee pressing into the soft bedding. His hand shot out, fingers wrapping around her delicate throat with calculated precision.
Kimi's breath hitched, her body going rigid beneath him. "What are you doing?" The words barely escaped her lips as terror flooded her features.
Kolton's dark eyes swept over her trembling form with cold detachment. A harsh laugh escaped him as he studied her face, then deliberately let his gaze trail down her body with obvious disdain.
"You actually think I'd want you?" His voice dripped with contempt as his fingers gestured dismissively at her form. "This pathetic excuse of a body couldn't tempt a desperate man, let alone me."
