The viewers watched as Black Prime entered the asteroid field and proceeded towards the centre while occasionally making turns at strange points.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Am I missing something? I can't see why he's making turns at those points.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Same.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): It's certainly strange, I can't see any reason he would need to make a change there.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): What's that pervert up to?]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): Pervert?]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): You must have heard how he regularly sleeps with his viewers, I mean [Puntanghunter69Ver2 mentioned it earlier.]
[Puntanghunter69Ver2 (Challenger): 👍]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Please don't encourage that pervert Phoenix Empress.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): My bad.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Pervert knows pervert. Kekeke]
"Well, this is boring," Raella commented in a bored tone.
"Agreed, though he is definitely advancing towards the centre of the asteroid field faster than any of the others," Dulaebella stated.
"Since Prime Black seems to be advancing smoothly, let's switch back to the main group," Honcho said as the feed switched back to the main group, which where still chasing after Speed Stone.
"Oh, was that a turret?" Dulaebella suddenly asked as a red beam shot out of what looked like empty space and hit one of the mechs on the back, causing it to suddenly slow down.
"Oh, and Hero's Thunder has just been hit in the back by one of the automated turrets, "Honcho said with excitement as an overlay of Hero's Thunder appeared on the left side of every holographic screen, " The red indicator on the mech overlay shows where the mech was hit and the percentage indicator below it which is currently at fifty per cent shows how much the mech is currently slowed by."
"Oh! Hero's Thunder just got hit again and slowed even more. I figured this might happen," Dulaebella suddenly said as the mech overlay number rose to seventy-five per cent.
"What do you mean, Dulaebella?" Honcho asked.
"It's as I explained before the match, Hero's Thunder was slowed after being hit by the turret. The problem with this is that now that he's slower, he's a much easier target for the other mechs and turrets." Dulaebella explained.
"It seems you're right, look at Angels Fury and Matriarchs Right, who were the two closest mechs to Hero's Thunder. They have stopped attacking Speed Stone and have instead turned and started firing on Hero's Thunder." Honcho replied.
As Honcho had said, Angels Fury and Matriarchs Right, along with the turret, were continuously firing on Hero's Thunder, causing their red lasers to hit every part of it as it got slower and slower.
"Just look at that mech overlay for Hero's Thunder viewers, it's entirely red now," Honcho said just before Hero's Thunder entirely stopped moving and became dead in space as a notification appeared on every holographic screen.
[[Contender mech: Hero's Thunder simulated damage level has reached critical]]
[[Hero's Thunder Eliminated]]
"AND WE'RE ONE MECH DOWN," Honcho shouted in excitement after reading the notification.
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): What the fuck was that? That was fucking lame.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Why is the presenter so excited? That was more boring than watching golf.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): What the fuck is golf?]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Some dull as sport, seriously, why is the host so excited?]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Probably just trying to hype it up and keep the audience interested so they don't change the channel, you see it all the time in golf.]
💫💫💫
"Man, that was dull. This is why I never come watch the charity match, even though I'm always invited," Aphrodite remarked with a yawn.
"I now understand why, though it doesn't exactly do much for your interest," Stacey replied.
"Why? Because people end up assuming I'm only here to fuck the winner?" Aphrodite asked with a smirk.
"Pretty much," Stacey confirmed.
"Pft, let people think what they like. At the end of the day, you're never going to please everyone, and besides, I'm already a diva, so what reason do I have to go out of my way and please those who dislike me?"
"You're not wrong, but that's not normally how a celebrity or diva acts," Stacey replied with surprise.
"I'm not like the young celebrities and divas who are still young and trying to please everyone. Rowena and I have been around for a long time and have learnt that you shouldn't waste your time trying to be something you're not.
If there are enough people out there who like you for who you already are, then you should focus on keeping those fans happy, as they are the ones who are truly loyal to you for what you are and not what they think you are."
"She's right," Rowena remarked.
"Isn't that kind of contradicting?" Lorelie asked, "I mean, you're essentially saying just to be yourself, but then you're also not explaining to your fans that you're not fucking the winner each time."
"True, but being yourself and being honest to your fans isn't mutually exclusive… unless of course you're a truly honest person, which, let's face it, isn't the case because there is no truly honest person; everyone lies and everyone has secrets," Aphrodite replied.
"Don't worry about it too much right now, Lorelie," Rowena said with a smile before continuing, "You're currently at the peak of popularity with no one else in the universe as popular as you are. However, just remember what Aphrodite said today when that popularity you're currently experiencing starts to fall off in the future."
"Riiiigggghhhhhttttt," Lorelie replied in an uncertain tone.
"Ohhhh, they're finally showing Adam on the feed again," Tephe suddenly said excitedly.
💫💫💫
Adam piloted Spector Unit 6 quickly into the asteroid field and had it skim around asteroids that when heading towards it as he followed after the other mechs ahead of him that showed on his sensors.
"Spector, can you detect the turrets, mines and other traps that have been set up in here?" Adam suddenly asked as a new red indicator that signified an enemy and was smaller than the indicators for the other mechs suddenly appeared on the viewscreen.
"Affirmative, Spector Unit Six's sensors are powerful enough to detect them, unlike the other mechs," Spector replied.
"Hmmmm, I wonder what happens if you attack them back?" Adam mused as he altered course towards the new indicator, which was previously near three larger red indicators, though now it only showed two, as one of them had turned grey, signifying that it was no longer a threat.
"Oh, things are about to get interesting," Honcho said with excitement before continuing, "After eliminating Hero's Thunder, Angels Fury, and Matriarchs' Right have turned their weapons while also trying to evade the attacks coming from the nearby turret, and Spector Unit Six just happens to be on a direct course towards them.
What do you make of this Dulaebella?"
"I doubt Spector Unit Six has any idea that there is a turret waiting for him on his current course, as we saw previously, the other mechs didn't even register it until it opened fire on Hero's Thunder, leaning to believe that it is too small to be picked up on their sensors.
I expect he can tell, however, that Hero's Thunder has been eliminated and now suspects that Angels Fury and Matriarchs' Right are probably attacking each other, something he can take advantage of." Dulaebella explained.
"Just to clarify for our new viewers, UMB Cup rules state that during a match, the pilots will be unable to receive our feed to prevent any cheating," Honcho explained before asking curiously, "Why would Spector Unit Six be heading straight for their conflict though? His goal is to reach the centre of the asteroid field as quickly as possible. Entering their battle will enhance the chance of him being attacked and slowed down."
"I have also been wondering that myself. I guess all we can do is wait and see what he does," Dulaebella replied.
"Well, we won't have to wait long because he is about to enter weapons range of both Angels Fury, Matriarchs' Right and the turret," Honcho reported.
"Is it me, or is he heading directly towards the turret?" Raella asked in surprise.
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Streamer, don't go that way, there's a turret there waiting to ambush you.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Wait, can he see the chat? I mean, the host did say that the pilots can't watch the feed like we are.]
[Emojisonly (Earth): 🤷]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): That's a good question, actually, does anyone know if a streamer has ever participated in the UMB Cup in the past and if they could see the chat?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): I don't ever remember hearing about one entering, neither the main competition nor the charity match.]
[HackerSu (Trillion): I just did a quick check, no streamer has ever entered the UMB Cup in the past, according to the official records from the UMB Cup site.]
[Lizziethetruepower (Palalxia): Damn girl, are you that bored that you actually went to research that?]
[HackerSu (Trillion): You have no idea, I was hoping that this match would entertain me, but so far it's been boooorrrrriiiiiinnnnggggg. 🥱]
[Emojisonly (Earth): 🥱]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Doesn't that mean that both the streamer and Prime are the first streamers to enter?]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Oh geez, please don't tell Prime that. Actually, does anyone know if he's even streaming?]
