{"The code is about to reset. Standby to receive."} The leader of team two suddenly said, attracting everyone's attention back to the stream.
{"Ready to receive."} Number Nine replied before asking, {"What's the status of Leiko and Ryu?"}
{"Still in the elevators, they look pissed."} Number Nighty-Three replied.
{"Good, let's hope they keep delaying them."}
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Seriously, why haven't they got out of the elevator and taken the stairs?]
As Prestigious3horns made his comment in the chat, Chief Ryu rushed out of the elevator with his group of security officers and headed for the stairs.
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Looks like they heard you. Kekeke.]
"We don't want them arriving here too soon," Adam commented before saying, "Spector, please seal the doorway to the staircase."
[[Affirmative.]]
Everyone watched as Chief Ryu slammed into the door, expecting it to open, only for it to hold fast, causing him to bounce back off it into some of the security officers and fall to the floor.
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): That was great. Kekeke.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Wow, streamer, that's too cruel.]
[HackerSu (Trillion): They must be going crazy, wondering why everything is going wrong. 🤣]
As the stream watched, several of the security officers with Chief Ryu tried the door, only for it to not move. After getting up, Chief Ryu tried the door himself before appearing to curse loudly, after which he ordered the security officers back to the elevator.
{"The code is…"} The leader of team two said before he began to read off many letters and numbers that the viewers saw one of team one's members inputting into the access panel next to the computer core's door.
After around thirty seconds of inputting different letters and numbers, the last digit was entered and the access panel suddenly changed to show.
[Code Confirmed]
[Access Granted]
Everyone watched as the computer core door slid sideways to reveal a small room that Team One quickly entered.
The core was filled with rows of shelves along opposite walls containing different-sized boxes and metal cases, while along the far wall was a lone console that sat upon a desk.
{"We're in, get over here and help us look. You two, spread out and find the target."} Number Nine ordered as she headed for the nearest metal case and started searching through it.
The other two members of team one followed her orders and began searching while the members of team one threw the bank card-sized object back in the safe and closed it before quickly leaving the office.
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): What do you suppose they're looking for?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Judging by Leikos's comments earlier, someone threatened her and it seems they're going through with their threat.]
[CEOHopkins (Earth): Who is Alpha Entertainment's biggest rival?]
[LadyErkath (Deverinian Prime): You think it's a rival entertainment company that hired them?]
[CEOHopkins (Earth): That's the most likely scenario, if this isn't something personal, of course.]
"I think I've got something," One of the team members suddenly said.
"Show me," Number Nine said as she quickly moved towards the team member.
The team member passed a data drive to Number Nine that was labelled, 'Financial Records for Universal Year 3236'
[CEOHopkins (Earth): Financial records?]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Illegal transactions perhaps?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Maybe the one who hired them is trying to find a credit trail.]
"This might be it," Number Nine said before taking the data drive to the console and slotting it in.
As the data drive was plugged in, a holographic screen appeared above the console showing all the financial transactions Alpha Entertainment had made during Universal Year 3236.
"Alpha Entertainment's financial records from eleven years ago," Rowena said with a thoughtful expression.
"Omega Entertainment's collapse and subsequent takeover?" Aphrodite asked as she turned towards Rowena, who nodded.
"What's Omega Entertainment's collapse and subsequent takeover?" Adam asked curiously.
"Eleven years ago, Alpha and Omega Entertainment were both low-level entertainment companies; however, they were relatively famous because of the intense rivalry they both had," Rowena began to explain.
"The rivalry stemmed from the fact that Omega Entertainment was started by two friends, Koki and Leiko."
"Leiko? As in…" Adam asked in surprise, but Rowena interrupted him.
"Yes, the same Leiko that came to greet us earlier.
Koki and Leiko are the same age and became friends in school. Apparently, they both loved anything to do with celebrities, especially divas and spent all day reading the latest news and gossip about them.
They loved them so much that after they completed their education, they started an entertainment company together."
"Omega Entertainment?" Adam asked.
"That's right," Rowena replied.
"I can already see where this is going," Adam said with a sigh.
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Don't interrupt the story streamer.]
[RealOtaku (Earth): Yeah. We can also guess where this is going, but we still want to hear, in case a plot twist happens.]
"So, Omega Entertainment was formed, but unsurprisingly, with so many rival entertainment companies that were both larger and more successful. Omega Entertainment had trouble finding any artists with real talent who wanted to sign with them. The newcomers would rather sign with a larger company that could support them more, and the big-time celebrities would never sign with a newcomer."
"It's funny you say that when both you and Lorelie are about to do that exact thing," Aphrodite said with a smirk.
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): What what what??? 😱]
[HackerSu (Trillion): Sign with a newcomer?]
[MercheadAnderson (Palaxia): Did Diva Aphrodite just reveal something she wasn't supposed to?]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Is there a new entertainment company?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): I haven't heard of one.]
[OfficialMuriel (Aqua Primus): Also, can Diva Rowena even do that? I mean, she's still signed with Dynamic Entertainment, right?]
[LadyErkath (Deverinian Prime): She can. But the cost of cancelling her contract early will be high, especially as she's a diva.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): If this information is legit, then it's going to shock the whole entertainment industry.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Forget shock. It's going to shake the entire entertainment industry. Two divas, one of them being the top diva in the universe, signing with a new entertainment company, that just doesn't happen.]
"Big mouth," Rowena said as she shot Aphrodite an annoyed look.
"Oops," Aphrodite said with a smirk before sticking her tongue out.
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Why do I get the feeling Diva Aphrodite revealed that on purpose?]
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Do you think it was revenge for how Diva Rowena stole the place next to the streamer?]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): I wouldn't put it past her.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): The harem definitely needs a chaos-causing member. Kekeke.]
"You know very well why we hadn't mentioned anything regarding this," Rowena said with the same annoyed look, causing Aphrodite's smile to grow even more smug.
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Wait, it's true?]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): It must be.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): I'm back and I'm in shock. 😳]
[OfficialMuriel (Aqua Primus): If Diva Rowena wanted to keep it quiet a bit longer, why didn't she play dumb about Diva Aphrodite's remark?]
[LadyErkath (Deverinian Prime): Maybe she figured there was no longer any point in keeping quiet about it.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Dynamic Entertainment won't like this when they hear about it. Losing a diva is a HUGE loss.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Maybe if they hadn't been infighting for so long and sorted out its leadership, this wouldn't have happened.]
Adam shook his head before asking, "So what happened with Omega Entertainment?"
"Because of their lack of success in signing any real talent and therefore growing as a company, a fracture began to form between Koki and Leiko in how to lead the company.
Leiko wanted to take a more ruthless approach in recruitment, while Koki disagreed with this method and argued that when they formed Omega Entertainment, they both agreed to treat the celebrities that signed with them fairly.
Leiko argued back that being ruthless in signing them didn't equate to not treating them fairly once they had signed.
As it became obvious that Koki would never agree with her approach, Leiko left Omega Entertainment after selling her half of the company back to Koki.
After leaving, Leiko went and worked as her sister's aide. Maiya wasn't the matriarch at this time and was just a normal member of the Leonian council.
Everyone believed that Leiko had given up on the entertainment industry; however, it turned out that she was only saving up funds from working for her sister until she had saved up enough credits to satisfy the bank for a loan that allowed her to launch Alpha Entertainment.
Under Leiko's sole leadership, Alpha Entertainment was ruthless in its attempt to acquire rising celebrities. While no evidence was ever given to prove the claims, there are reports of them finding dirt from the celebrities' past and forcing them to sign with them, or finding information about rival entertainment companies and threatening to make said information public unless they stop trying to sign the celebrity.
And then Koki made the mistake of publicly saying that what she thought Leiko was doing was wrong and not what the two of them had promised each other when they founded Omega Entertainment."
