Right above me was the monster. It was hanging on some of the wooden beams holding the barn's roof together.
Before I could react, it jumped on me, slamming me into the ground.
It's spit started falling onto my face as it pinned me to the ground.
"EWW!!" I can't believe I even cared about the spit, there were much more worrying things to care about, SUCH AS DYING!!
As it heard me, I watched the monster's head tilt, but what I found really weird was that it didn't even look like the creature was looking at me. Well, to be more clear, it did somewhat look like the creature was looking at me, but I think that was solely based on my noise as it wasn't looking down before that.
Was I right about the eyes being fake? Then it must actually have ears, which would explain the way it reacts…
I tried to squirm out but I failed… it was only holding me down with one arm, but I still couldn't get out.
It started leaning down opening its mouth. Its teeth looked extremely sharp, like it had multiple knifes it there… the main thing I noticed though was that the creature smelled similar to the alien at home… I can't explain the smell but they just smelled so similar. This really isn't the time to be smelling stuff, it was about to bite my head off.
I started screaming but what was that going to do? No one would hear me…
The creature's head stopped moving toward me and paused. It opened it's mouth again, but closed it shortly after… What was it doing? Did my scream stun it a little, maybe me screaming confused it? Either way, it bought enough time for me to escape. Wait… what?
Right then my left arm managed to loosen itself from the creature's grip and suddenly transformed before cutting the creature's arm. It didn't manage to cut the arm off, but it still made a very deep cut.
The creature jumped up to its hind legs making a screaming noise… or at least it gave off the impression of one. The sound was very distorted and screechy, but based on the way it reacted you could tell it was a scream.
It landed back on all fours, but now it had a different feeling about it from before… it obviously was more enraged, but I couldn't put my tongue on what else was different.
Whatever it was, I didn't have time for it. I jumped up and quickly with my right arm wiped the spit off of my face so that I could see properly… I looked down and there it was, my left arm was completely transformed into a blade up to the elbow. There was a purple aura coming from my arm, and while looking at it, I could instantly tell. This was the alien.
I didn't have time to question it as the creature was settling down and focused on me again. It's arm looked to be completely healed already… how?
The monster lunged at me swinging it's giant arm toward me. If it had hit me full on, I would have been instantly knocked out. Luckily though, without any idea on how, I reacted in time and swung my arms in front of me forming an X to take the blunt of the attack. When the monster hit me I kept myself upright while being pushed back and in a matter of seconds I hit the wall. My arm was still a blade and cut my other arm quite a bit, as I didn't know how to turn it back. Once again though, it also pierced through the monster's arm. Maybe I'm glad my arm didn't transform back yet, and my cut was just the price I had to pay…
It backed off screeching again, but this time it wasn't a painful screech. The monster was getting angry. Before I had time to react it flung it's arm at me again knocking me across the barn and I hit the opposite wall.
I coughed up blood as I quickly tried to stand up again.
"L-y—ia-" my ear piece started making static noises.
"What…?" I attempted to reach my hand up to my ear but before I could the monster whacked me farther into the barn.
This time the monsters impact was much stronger as it felt like one of my ribs broke.
"GASP!" The impact knocked the air out of me and I clutched my chest as I struggled to regain my breath.
My breathing was getting heavy and my head was becoming light. I had already lost a good amount of blood. What should I do… what can I even do?
I wasn't about to give up, but to my surprise, when I looked up I saw Yuri.
He sucker punched the monster out of the barn with one rounded up fist. It didn't even look like his arm had transformed this time… he was just that strong.
My grip on my shirt tightened… Man, while he's handling a monster with relative ease, I'm here struggling to get my breath back… I'm so pathetic.
I finally stood up and ripped some of the bottom of my pants off to tie around my cut arm. Without noticing, my left arm had transformed back, which made it a little harder to rip them. Though, the monster had left a small hole in them, which did give me a starting point.
After I had finished tying my arm, I heard the monster's last screech, which was quieter than the rest. I was too focused to notice how badly the screeching sounded before… like it was begging for help. The monster must be gone, so I ran over to the hole Yuri punched to see what was happening… this is something I wish I didn't do…
My eyes shivered as I saw the sight. There was blood everywhere, Yuri had beaten it to a pulp. This degree of help from him was almost unnecessarily, I can't even begin to explain how bad it was.
I turned around and threw up. I'd never seen anything so bad and disgusting, so I couldn't help myself.
I looked back over and Yuri had noticed me as he slowly turned his head back. It was in this moment that I realized, I was screwed. Did I really think I could secretly escape him? Did I even want to try?
He slowly walked up to me… his face was stern. Was he angry with me?
"U-uh than-ks…" My voice kept cracking.
"Why didn't you use your Xeno?" He stood right in front of me… I don't know how I didn't notice this before, but he was almost a foot taller, looking down on me.
I couldn't help myself but to look at the ground, I was too scared to look him in the face.
"I d-don't know ho-w-"
"Never mind that…" He cut me off without realizing what I had said.
"Why are you still here?"
"Oh yeah… t-this is embarrassing, but I don't k-know how to get back…" I said as I fiddled with my hands.
"Oh… whoops." He had realized that he had never told me how to get back.
Without looking up, I saw him walk away a bit, then I heard a rustling noise.
"Get on."
"What-" I looked up and saw him crouching down with his arms held back.
Was he offering me a piggyback ride??
