I wiped the tear off his face with my finger. I'm not sure how I didn't notice this earlier… but he looks really young. Not young, young, but still… Where was his family? It looked like he lived alone in that house…
After a bit, I remembered that his leg was bleeding, so I gently laid him on the ground and ripped the bottom of my pants on the other leg. Now, I was basically wearing long shorts… I tied the cloth around the cut on his leg, but it didn't cover much as the cut was to big. Though this would have to do for now…
I lifted him back up and laid him on my back, now I was the one giving him a piggyback ride. How the turns have tabl- wait… that's not how it goes, it's how the tables have turned… right?
After a long debate on whether it was turned or tabled first, I made it back to the apartment. I slowly walked in, and with my luck, ran right into Ken as he was next to the mail boxes. this was awkward…
"Ly-Lydia!" He exclaimed as he ran over to me.
"I was so worried where have you bee-" he had finally noticed.
I had the most awkward smile as I greeted him. Out of every possibility, this was not one that I had even thought about…
"I-is that…"
I knew exactly what he was going to say so I cut him off.
"We should be goin-"
"IS HE ALRIGHT!" He shouted as his eyes widened noticing our appearances. My torn pants with the small scratches on my legs from the grass, Yuri's bloodied leg, as the cloth didn't cover it well, and the most obvious, Yuri being completely knocked out.
"We'll be fine, I just need-"
"Excuse me?! You're not going anywhere in that condition!" He walked behind me and started pushing us.
"Now, I don't really have space in my area so we'll have to go to your room." He pushed us in the elevator and pushed the button to go up.
"I'll be right up with some supplies! Also don't forget to lift his leg up a bit to help slow down the bleeding." He said as he looked down at the small amount of blood that trailed on the floor.
I saw him run off as the doors closed. This is a pain… but it's probably a good thing he saw us. I don't think I really have anything that would be helpful in this scenario.
As we made it to the 3rd floor, I noticed I was losing my grip and was about to drop him. My vision was becoming blurry and I was starting to shake more. Right when I was about to wonder why, my stomach grumbled… I had completely forgotten that I hadn't eaten for days.
I was so close though, I couldn't give up just yet. After a quick stumble I regained my balance and tightened my grip. I had to push forward and get to my room! Only a bit further, I can do it!
I could barely see, but I knew where my room was, so I pushed and slowly walked through the hall. Before long, I had finally made it to my door… how was I going to open this? If I moved my hand I'd probably drop him…
Wait… the alien! He's still here!
I started bumping my head against the door yelling for him to open it.
"MR ALIEN!! PLEASE HELP, I NEED YOU TO OPEN THE DOOR!!" I probably shouldn't be yelling alien, but I had to get his attention… if he was sleeping, I'd be doomed. I could already feel my arms fatiguing and at any moment they'd give out.
*[Calm down]* I heard him say, but this time, it felt like it was in my head?
I felt a weird feeling coming from my stomach, so I looked down and saw what looked like a tentacle coming out…
I screamed and almost fell over, but another two came out of the back of my legs and lifted us back up preventing me from dropping Yuri.
"AHHHHH!!" I started panicking, what was happening!
*[What are you doing?]* He said as he opened the door.
"WHAT DO YOU M- HOW ARE YOU EVEN HERE??" I screamed as I frantically moved my head in no particular pattern, as I knew he was in my head.
*[Get in the room first, I will explain after]* He made sure I was stable before leaving my body and returning to his look I remembered from before.
I have no clew how he was with me as I clearly remember leaving him here, but I couldn't worry about that right now.
I walked into the room and slowly closed the door with my foot. I brought Yuri over to my bed and laid him there. I needed to find something to lift his leg up with, so I opened the closet in search for something. The problem though was that Lydia barely had anything… just random clothes and boxes… maybe I could roll the clothes up?
[What are you doing?] The alien had quietly snuck up behind me.
I jumped up holding my chest and looked at him… "You almost gave me a heart attack!"
[Oh… sorry]
"I really need something to lift his leg up to stop the bleeding…" I said as I went back into the closet searching for something.
[Here, I can transform into a squishy cylinder, and if this does not work I can change into something else]
I turned around and there he was… a purple squishy cylinder. I mean, I guess that works? I quickly picked him up and placed him under Yuri's leg. That should help for now, but I need bandages…
With that realization I remembered that Ken was coming up with supplies, so I quickly told the alien the situation and that he couldn't transform back for a bit.
"Also… I could have been sure you were here when I left?" I asked as I was looking for a cloth in the kitchen to wipe some of the blood off.
[I was?] He quietly said.
"You don't have to be quiet yet…"
"Anyway, then how did you come out of me??" I grabbed a towel and started running some water over it… the water was taking quite a bit to heat up.
[I am not trying to sound dumb, or avoid the question… but if you did not know I was there, then how do you think you were able to use that power?]
Now that he mentioned it, I never really questions how my arm transformed earlier…
"Okay, okay, then- ouch! Sorry, how did you get to me? Can you teleport?" The water had finally heated up while my hand was in it so I got burned a little bit.
I paused before finishing my sentence to make sure I got the towel completely wet, and drained the extra water out of it. I started walking back to the bed when I asked-
"I never came back to the apartment…"
[Yeah? What did you expect… you were gone for a really long time, I was bound to look for you]
"3 days isn't that long… also how did you find me?" I stopped and tilted my head while asking, did he experience time differently then humans?
[There is a trace of me in you, that to a degree can protect you from smaller threats, and allows me to find you wherever you may be]
I was about to speak when he dropped something I wasn't expecting.
[It also was not 3 days… probably a week or two]
My hand slowly lost grip of the towel and my mouth opened as it dropped. A week? No way, I was knocked out for that long?? Why would Yuri say 3 days then?
