Chapter 488: Suppression, Uprising Resolved!

At the same moment, the two Supreme Elders moved like ghosts, charging straight toward Qingtan. Clearly, they intended to capture her and use her as a hostage.

WOM!

Suddenly, space twisted in front of Qingtan, and two identical figures appeared silently. They were perfect replicas of Lin Fan—his two perfected clones.

The moment they appeared, each intercepted one of the Supreme Elders' attacks head-on.

BOOM! BOOM!

A muffled collision echoed out, and both Supreme Elders were blasted backward several hundred meters, vomiting blood as they flew, their faces turning ashen.

"Impossible!"

The two of them stared at the figures ahead with shock.

All around Blackstone Plaza, countless spectators looked on in awe.

But Lin Fan's two clones didn't give the elders a chance to recover. They charged again—pressuring them with overwhelming strength.

Backed by Lin Fan's terrifying power, the clones drove the Supreme Elders back step by step. The elders couldn't even mount a proper counterattack.

Meanwhile, the Scythe Spirit that had been summoned attacked Lin Fan head-on. In response, Lin Fan channeled his vast yuan power and condensed a massive Thunder Hand, which collided directly with the spirit's attack.

BOOM!

The clash of the two forces shook the heavens. Terrifying shockwaves split the very ground of the plaza into countless cracks, spreading in all directions.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Explosions roared in the air as Lin Fan and the Scythe Spirit both staggered back, neither gaining the upper hand.

Regaining his footing, Lin Fan didn't hesitate. His hands flashed in rapid succession as he formed a profound seal.

"Go!"

A soft command.

A gentle white seal of light shot from his palm, flying straight at the Scythe Spirit.

Before the spirit could react, the seal entered its forehead.

WOM WOM!

The Scythe Spirit began to tremble violently, and beams of white light burst from its body.

Black inscriptions began surfacing from its chest—dark runes hidden deep within. But under the illumination of the white seal, they began to dissolve rapidly.

These dark runes were the control spells planted by the Supreme Elders. Now, Lin Fan had forcibly driven them out.

"No!"

The two Supreme Elders, already grievously injured from battling the clones, paled even further when they saw the runes breaking down.

They tried to reactivate the spells—

BOOM! BOOM!

—only to be slammed back into the ground by Lin Fan's clones.

CRACK!

A faint cracking sound echoed through the sky.

The dark runes vanished entirely.

At that moment, the Supreme Elders lost all control over the Scythe Spirit.

Lin Fan moved again, sending more seals into the spirit's body. Moments later, the Scythe Spirit collapsed into a glowing black orb, floating gently in the air.

Lin Fan waved a hand, drawing it in, then tossed it toward Qingtan.

"Here. Insert it into your scythe. Then it will be complete."

Qingtan caught it with wide, shining eyes and nodded excitedly. She waved her Dark Saint Scythe, which emitted a black glow and absorbed the orb instantly.

The scythe trembled, a powerful aura erupting from within. The weapon even grew in size—now almost too large for her to wield easily.

But in her delicate hands, the contrast made for an oddly breathtaking sight.

At that moment, the elders of the Elder Council turned pale.

Especially the Grand Elder—his body trembled, and he stumbled back several steps in fear.

The Supreme Elders had been defeated, the Scythe Spirit reclaimed. They no longer had any leverage against Qingtan and Lin Fan.

Throughout the plaza, representatives from various factions exchanged uneasy glances.

Everyone knew now—the Elder Council's attempted coup had completely failed.

On the altar, Qingtan raised her scythe. With a flick of her wrist, a black light flashed, and the Ancestral Stele floating in the air dissolved into mist.

Its suppression over the Ancestral Darkness Symbol vanished.

The sky grew dark once more.

Looking down at the two elders, now collapsed and powerless, Qingtan's voice turned icy:

"Supreme Elders. You hid the Scythe Spirit for your own gain. Do you admit your crimes?"

Their bodies shuddered.

Just as they tried to speak, they saw Lin Fan descend beside Qingtan, his gaze sharp and unforgiving.

Beside each elder, one of Lin Fan's clones loomed silently.

With no way to fight back, the elders finally gave up.

"We… were blinded by greed. We made a terrible mistake. Hall Master… please show mercy!"

THUD!

Both elders dropped to their knees.

Seeing this, the rest of the Elder Council followed suit.

"We too were deceived by the Grand Elder. Please forgive us, Hall Master!"

The Grand Elder stood frozen in place, face dark with despair, his body shaking uncontrollably.

"Hall Master," said one of the elders who had supported Qingtan earlier, stepping forward. "This matter is too big. If you punish everyone, it may destabilize the Hall."

Qingtan nodded slightly and raised her hand.

Dozens of black talismans appeared, each one glowing with a faint black light as they floated through the air, landing in front of the elders.

"These are Dark Saint Talismans," Qingtan said coldly. "You are guilty of high treason. Death is the proper punishment."

"But in honor of your past contributions… you may live."

"Swallow the talismans—and your lives are mine to command."

The elders' faces twisted.

They knew what these talismans meant—absolute control. Once taken, Qingtan could end their lives at any moment.

Still, what choice did they have?

After a moment of struggle, the two Supreme Elders took the lead and swallowed the talismans.

The rest followed quickly after.

Only then did they realize—there was one talisman missing.

Qingtan's eyes turned to the Grand Elder.

"You're the ringleader. Your crime is unforgivable. Elders—what are you waiting for? Seize him!"

All eyes turned.

The Grand Elder's face went white. Rage and terror filled his eyes.
