"Jayden. I know you like Toby and I do not want us liking the same guy to ruin our friendship. But he is my fated, I saw him first and I imprinted on him. Do not tell me you cannot sense it. His mine. That is why I ask you as a friend to back off."
Blah. Blah. Blah. He has ninety-nine problems and Lucas being fated to be with Toby is not one of them. Lucas is a great guy, his safe, secure, respectful, he will love his cousin the way he deserves to be loved.
"A- your statement is far from accurate. I met Toby first, his from Blue, remember. and apart from my interest, I realised that we are fighting for the same thing. Which is Toby's happiness."
Jayden laughed thinking back. Leo's visits have been extensive as of lately. Since the allegations of him being in a relationship with Toby. His little wolf is possessive of him and all it took was jealousy, wow. Till now Lucas does not know why he is so close to Toby and to an extent Noah, that means there is no way Leo does too. Even if his little adorable beta fails to acknowledge his jealous. Until the very end he will enjoy his clingy, passionate, possessive side of his mate.
The only thing that managed to break the tension was Leo entering the room. Why is he doing here? If his interest was not clear it was now because when he entered and saw him in Toby's room. His fated fist his hands into two furious balls and the silent anger was extremely loud. Like an igniter Toby stepped out the bathroom, half the fuck naked. Shit, Zippy froze in shock. His protective instinct was to push his cousin back into the bathroom when he felt Toby's embarrassment run all the way to his eyes.
It was as if everything happened in slow motion, his ears and cheeks are flushed red. He would have stood there awkwardly if he hadn't acted fast. Leo has a bias of omegas and the last person he wants his fated to see his cousin half naked. And he also wanted to protect his modesty from the lustful, jealous angry eyes of the men. Toby would have been affected by the strong emotions in the room

"What the heck are you all doing in my room?"
"Lucas invited me to tell me he still has feelings for you and Leo just showed up."
"So, can I finally tell him? You know how hard it is keeping this whole thing a secret. If or when we are to date, we would be required to be honest with each other right?"
"Right Zippy. Toby, there is nothing more I want than for you to be happy. I do think highly of your mating choice but please keep this secret for a little longer. I am so close to changing Leo's bias or sigma against alphas and betas mating. Here put on my shirt, I will move the conversation with the guys outside the room."
Toby nodded obediently the only thing his ever wanted to be selfish about is Leo and if it means manipulating his feelings a little, it will be done. He removed his shirt so that Toby can grab his clothes. He does not want his mate to overthink or get punched by Lucas for crossing boundaries and rummaging through the shared closet.
"When he asks, I will tell him the truth."
He nods, that's fair. He walks out without his shirt to face addition that could alter things before they build. He understands why Noah is here, toby is his closest friend, that everyone in the pack thought at some point the two would end up together. It is now safe to say they were all dead wrong, they all found they fated mates in different packs. Jayden's gaze encouraging the smiling man to keep his mouth shut before facing the two furious man that reeked of jealousy.
"Let's talk outside while Toby dresses," they nod and walk out. His attention fell on Lucas then Noah. "Let us go for a walk."
"Haha. I'm only following because I am sure what you about to say is more interesting, than waiting for little Zippy to finish dressing." Noah laughs amused by the very awkward situation. "Quick question before our walk. Did any of you see Alex?"
They shook their heads still dumbfounded, Noah walked until they got far out of earshot close to the waters.
"How long are you going to mess with their minds?"
"Lucas? Not long enough, I am sure Zippy will tell him everything soon enough?"
"Then what's up with the privacy? Don't you think your boyfriend will blow a fuse?"
"Keep this to yourself and focus on screwing up your own conquest. Alex asked to stay in my room for the remainder of our days here. So, here is a suggestion. Focus your free time and energy to talk to her, to clear whatever miscommunication you guys have."
"I don't suppose you will tell me?"
"Nope. It is more interesting to experience it on your own. Don't waste her time if you are not ready for a meaningful relationship. She has been through a lot in her past that has shaped her very narrow-minded thoughts and reception of relationships."
"What does that mean? Common bro I am your junior, family friend, basically relative and Toby's best friend."
"So, I have no reason to tell you. Good."

Leo's p.o.v
Why did he enter the bathroom with Toby? He doesn't like the thought of his Jayden being with another, seeing it was worse. Tears. Ugh. Damn him to a place below hell. In fact, worse than hell. Screw it, damn him to hell. So, his with Toby? Are they dating? Doing what they are doing? Why Toby? He is Lucas's fated mate. Ugh the taste of his name had the ability to aggravate his peace of mind. His breaking point was when he had the audacity walk out half naked out of the bathroom.
They were not even the closest thing to exclusive, but he could not help the overwhelming sting of jealousy. No just thinking about what they could have done for the one minute, forty-five seconds while they were in there... he could tell that Lucas did not bode well either. When Jayden decided to take Noah a Deucalion to discuss what the hell just happened, he envied how much Jayden cared for Toby. Rejection and uncertainty played its normal tug of wars. Seeing Toby's shadow draped in his shirt, should have been enough to let him admit defeat but that demanding asshole is his. Dammit. Let. Him. Go. He believed Jayden was the furthest thing to an asshole to cheat on a person he was dating by being intimate with another. Fuck. But they are not dating.
Wolf: He would never do that to us. Give him the benefit of the doubt, he loves us.
'Shut up! Did you forget about, Uhm Toby?!'
He reminded his wolf forcing his tears to be banished to another planet, another universe. Both men had no way to express how they felt at the moment, they were lost in different thoughts. Before his friend can stop him, he storms away. It is totally his fault; he pushed Jayden away. Practically used his body to pleasure his own.
'He said he belongs to me not so long ago.'
He tried to reason but that was said in the heat of the moment. His more of an idiot to even consider his fated mate bond before Toby. He has never seen or heard of an alpha and beta being fated before. How will they work? Why didn't he think oven being openminded about the idea sooner? Fuuucccckkkk. Jayden is too close to Toby. He can't fault the kid because it was hard to hate him... and he did try hating the omega.
'Okay Leo, man up. He made his choice. There was no choice to begin with. Suck it up. Move on. Alpha's always go for omegas anyways, for more than a thousand years that has always been rule number one. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.'
Alex is one of his best friend's and even she is currently nowhere to be seen. After taking a shower, he then read a message from Alex.
Lex:
Screaming into his pillow, the muffled sound fucking up his brain riddled with frustration. What the fuck is going on here?! Seriously Alex has never dated or been into anyone, male or female. Why is Jayden doing this to him? Why is Jayden's escapades bothering him so much? Why with Alex?
'No. Control. Breathe.'
A knock sounded at the door a short while after his crash out. He feels emotionally drained; he opened without first checking who it was. He was too tired to deal with the man, so when he saw who it was, he tried closing the door, but the man stopped the door from closing. At this point he did not have enough fucks to give.
"Get out. Uhm. Stop!"
The man trailed his fingers on the sides of his face his hand bringing him closer to an embrace, he had to stop this incredibly hot slut. He pushed him back and stared at him in disbelief, his exhaustion has to be evident.
"Stop messing with me man! Just stop. Get out. Delete my number. I'm done. I am done doing whatever this is anymore. So please, just leave and leave me the fuck alone."
"Leo."
"Please go. I am so tired. I do not know what is going on. Wait I do not need to know what's going on. I am just tired Jay. I am tired, do you understand? Please just leave, I do not want to deal with whatever this is today."
He begged with tears in his eyes. Jayden finally nod and took a step back with great difficulty. He closed the door running to his bed and he screamed in his pillow until sleep consumed him.
