No your majesty, you are not bothering me. Please feel free to call us whenever you need anything. Ira, i will be back."
Ira nod and sat down. Avanya left the chamber and went towards kitchen with the maid.
Ira held Viraaj's hand and asked "How did you got fever all of a sudden? You were all fine in the morning."
Viraaj chuckled "I told you, i am getting old. It's normal for me to fall sick."
Ira clenched her fist tightly and closed her eyes, knowing that whatever her grandfather saying is all wrong. There is something wrong with those medicines. She just want that person who messed with Viraaj's medicine and the truth will be out. Even if he may fell sick normally in Aaro, there is indeed someone in Jwalana who is trying to harm him or even worse kill him.
Ira's nails dug in her skin when she clenched her fist even tighter just by the thought that someone want to kill her grandfather. She opened her eyes and a tear fell from her eyes. She looked at her grandfather and said in serious tone.
"You are not getting old. You are as strong as you were before. You just...you just need good care. I will make sure you will recover before you go back to Aaro. And you also have to take care of yourself remember that."
Viraaj was silent for a moment to see his granddaughter so serious but then he nod reassuringly, thinking that it's just her concern for her grandfather's health.
When Ira and Viraaj were talking, Dhishva barged in the chamber with a worried look. Ashwant and Abhiveera entered with him.
He quickly ran towards Viraaj and bend to look at him carefully.
"Father, how are you feeling? Mother told me that you had high fever. How are you feeling now? Did you take the medicine?" He asked hurriedly.
Viraaj patted Dhishva's shoulder to stop him from worrying "I am fine. I ate the medicine and I am feeling better now."
Dhishva wasn't satisfied with his father's answer. He can still see his pale face.
He looked at Ira who was sitting beside Viraaj with her head low. His blood boiled and he clenched his fist. He left Viraaj's responsibility on Ira and went out with Ashwant and Abhiveera because she said she will take care of him. Doesn't matter how much Dhishva hate Ira, he have to accept that Ira love Viraaj so much and she can take care of him better than Dhishva. But after seeing Viraaj's condition now, he is regretting trusting her.
In anger, without realising that Ashwant and Abhiveera are also present in the chamber, Dhishva went out his rage on Ira.
"THIS IS HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR GRANDFATHER ?!" He shouted, his eyes red in anger.
Ira flinched on her place after hearing sudden yelling from her father because she didn't expected him to yell at her infront of her in-laws.
Ashwant and Abhiveera were shocked to hear Dhishva raising his voice on his daughter. Feeling bad for Ira, Ashwant took a step forward to stop Dhishva from yelling at her as it's not her fault. But Abhiveera stopped Ashwant by holding his hand and pulled him back. Ashwant looked at his father questioningly and Abhiveera shook his head, signalling that it's their personal matter and he shouldn't interfere in it. It's between father and daughter so it would be better for them to stay out of it.
Viraaj was shocked as well. He thought Dhishva will control his anger infront of Ira's in-laws to not create a scene there. But may be he was wrong. Dhishva is so short tempered and can easily get angry, especially when it's Ira who made a mistake knowingly or unknowingly.
To stop Dhishva from yelling at Ira further more or do something that can expose them infront of Abhiveera and Ashwant, Viraaj held Dhishva's hand and said "Don't yell at her. It's not her fault that I got fever. I am already sick so it's normal to get fever or feel weak in new atmosphere."
"But she said she will take care of you!" Dhishva said, his eyes still wide open in anger, glaring at Ira who was sitting quietly while her head hung low. "Why do you show that you care a lot for father when you can't even look after him when he is sick?!"
Ira looked up at her father in shock when he questioned her love for her grandfather. She opened her mouth to defend herself but she closed it instantly when she realised that it can alert that person who messed with Viraaj's medicine. If he get to know that Ira know he entered in Viraaj's chamber, he might run away or hide. It will be hard to find him then.
She was feeling helpless and embarrassed sitting there quietly and getting scolded by her father infront of her in-laws who always respect and love her. They don't know that her father hate her. For them, Ira and Dhishva are ideal daughter and father. What if they find out that Ira's family hate her and made her marry Raksheet just for their profit and to throw her out of the family as soon as possible? Will they hate her as well? Because no one hate their own daughter without any reason. Ira must have done something wrong that made her family hate her.
Panic filled in Ira's heart. She grabbed the bed sheet tightly. Her breathing became heavy. She don't want her in-laws to hate her. She told Raksheet everything about her family because he made her trust him and she know he will never leave her. She have won his trust and love but what about her in-laws? She don't know if they trust her wholeheartedly.
"Because she do care for him!" A voice made everyone turn around and look at the person standing at the door, looking unpleasant with Dhishva's words.
Ira's chaotic heart suddenly started calming down when she saw her husband. She felt safe in his presence. Her grip loosened on sheets and she took a deep breath.
Raksheet rushed in the chamber when he was walking towards Viraaj's chamber and heard Dhishva yelling at someone. He knew Ira must be inside as she will not leave her grandfather in this situation and as she told him about her relation with her father, it didn't took much time for him to conclude that Dhishva must be yelling at Ira.
He was so angry on Dhishva that he would have thrown him out of the palace only if he wasn't Ira's father, for shouting on his wife. He walked inside the chamber and stood infront of Dhishva. Because of the relation between them, Raksheet have to respect him even if he don't want to. He tried his best to be polite and spoke.
"Father, you shouldn't question my wife in this matter. You know how much she love her grandfather. She do care for him and it's seen very clearly. She is here since the morning. She woke up early, just to make sure that her grandfather is having his breakfast on time. She is taking care of his medicine, his food, his health. She even went in the kitchen to make porridge for him because he like her cooking. She thought it will help him recover if he eat her cooking. Since she found out that grandfather have fever, she didn't moved an inch from here." He said while looking straight in Dhishva's eyes. "Please father, read the situation before coming to conclusion. Because I hate it when someone yell at my wife or disrespect her."
Dhishva was stunned for a moment. He didn't expected Raksheet to talk like this to him. Even if his tone was polite, his eyes were enough to show the anger he was suppressing inside his heart.
Ashwant and Abhiveera were happy to see Raksheet protecting his wife. He is the only one who can interfere between Dhishva and Ira being her husband.
"R-Raksheet, you don't know how careless she is." Dhishva said, defending himself.
"Then how didn't I saw her carelessness in these two months? No one can hide their true personality for such a long time." Raksheet asked, not letting Dhishva to accuse Ira anymore.
Dhishva felt tongue twisted. He don't know what to say and how to react.
"Father, I don't know why you thought it's Ira's fault that grandfather got fever. But one thing I know is my wife love her grandfather and she will never ignore his health. I hope you can understand that she is innocent."
Raksheet looked down at Ira who was trying hard not to cry. His eyes soften after seeing the scene of his petite wife trying her best to control her emotions. He caressed Ira's hair and that was the moment a tear fell down from her eyes. But she still didn't wanted to look weak so she tried to hold her tears back doesn't matter how much it hurts. She took a deep breath to calm down but Raksheet's protection was making her want to feel weak and cry in his embrace.
Seeing how his granddaughter is feeling so bad, Viraaj can't help but ask Dhishva to leave. "Dhishva, you must be tired. Go to your chamber and take some rest. "
"But father, how can I leave you alone? What if your fever returns?" Dhishva didn't wanted to leave. He don't trust Ira anymore that he can leave Viraaj in her care.
Before Viraaj can persuade Dhishva to leave, Abhiveera spoke. "Don't worry Dhishva, I will stay with his majesty. You can go and take rest."
In between, Avanya entered in chamber with a maid holding a tray of porridge. She stopped when she noticed that the atmosphere in the chamber is a bit tensed. She looked at her husband for explanation about what is happening.
Ashwant signalled her that the situation is tensed and he will explain it to her later.
Avanya nod and then turned towards Viraaj. She walked towards him and asked the maid to place the tray on the table and leave the chamber.
"Your majesty, the food is here. Please eat it while it's still warm." She said with a smile.
Ira wiped her tears and got up from bed. She walked towards the tray on the table and served porridge in plate. She then gave the plate to Viraaj and asked him to eat.
"You have to eat medicine after this. Make sure you eat your fill." She said in low voice without looking up at Viraaj and sat down on the bed.
Viraaj can feel the pain behind her voice. She must have cried until now if her in-laws weren't there. He took the plate from Ira's hands and started eating.
