Viraaj can feel the pain behind her voice. She must have cried until now if her in-laws weren't there. He took the plate from Ira's hands and started eating.
"Dhishva, you should go now." He said, not wanting to see him anymore as he didn't cared about Ira's respect and dignity in her own house.
"Avanya tell the maids to serve the food in dining hall. His highness must be hungry." Ashwant said.
Avanya nod and left the chamber to prepare the food arrangement.
Dhishva can't do anything but sigh and leave the chamber with Ashwant.
"Raksheet, take Ira to her chamber. I am here. She need rest as well." Abhiveera said to Raksheet in low voice so that only he can hear.
"Ok." Raksheet replied.
"Ira, let's go. Grandfather will be here. You don't have to worry. You should take some rest if you want to take care of your grandfather."
Ira looked at Raksheet in dilemma. She don't want to leave her grandfather but she want rest as well. Her back is aching, sitting on the same place for such a long time.
"But..."
"Ira go to your chamber." Viraaj held her hand "I am fine now. His majesty will be with me so you don't have to worry."
Abhiveera walked towards Viraaj and sat down on the chair beside the bed. "Ira, go. I am here."
Finally Ira nod and stood up from the bed. "I will come back on dinner time. Don't eat your previous medicine. Eat the new one. It's in the drawer." She opened the drawer and placed the medicine on the table. "Eat this one." She took the remaining medicine that Viraaj used to eat. She already gave some of them to Raksheet for test.
"Let's go." She said to Raksheet and left the chamber.
Viraaj Sighed deeply and placed the plate aside. "It's all because of me. I shouldn't have come here."
"What are you saying your majesty? It's not your fault at all." Abhiveera said. "It's just a misunderstanding."
"That's not the only thing." Viraaj looked at Abhiveera with an apologetic look "Everyone is worried about me, my health. Ira have to look after me and Dhishva is always worried. Even your family is getting disturbed because of me. I am really sorry." He held Abhiveera's hand, apologising for bothering his family.
Abhiveera held Viraaj's hand tightly "Please your majesty, don't apologise for nothing. No one is getting disturbed. You are a family member. And a family member's health is more important than anything else. Tell me, if I were in your place, sick in your palace, wouldn't you have taken care of me?"
Abhiveera's question made Viraaj silent for a while "I would have taken care of you." He said, looking down at his hand.
Abhiveera stood up from his chair and took the plate "Then please stop apologizing and let me take care of you. Eat your food or else Ira will be angry on me that i didn't look after you properly." He passed the plate to Viraaj.
Viraaj chuckled, feeling greatfull that Ira got such a loving and caring family.
Ira entered in her chamber and straight went towards her bed. She removed her footwear and lay down on the bed. Raksheet sat down next to her but he didn't said anything, knowing that his wife is hurt by her father's words. She must be feeling so much pain and embarrassment that she didn't even looked at him for once. Ira turned on the other side, back facing Raksheet. She still had tears in her eyes but she don't want to cry. She should have gotten used to this but don't know why she still feel bad whenever her father scolds or humiliates her.
Raksheet lay down quietly. He want to help his wife. He want to protect her and tell her that she can cry in his embrace whenever she want. He will not judge her. He is always ready to support and help her.
He moved closer to Ira and hugged her waist. He pulled her close and patted her head without saying anything. He just want to tell her that he is always with her, doesn't matter she want him to be there or not. He will always stand by her side, no matter what the situation is.
Ira can't control her emotions anymore. She always wanted someone to hold her like this and cry in his embrace as much she want. She wanted someone to understand her and never judge her. And now when that person is beside her, how can she ignore him? The tears started flowing down from her eyes like river. She started sobbing uncomfortably. She was sobbing so badly that Raksheet had to make her turn arround and hug her and rub her back to calm her down. He didn't said anything and let her cry. She clutched his shirt tightly and continued crying with heavy sobs.
Raksheet was rubbing her back until he realised that she fell asleep in his embrace. He looked down at her face. Her eyelashes were wet with tears and there were traces of tears on her cheeks. Her eyes were swollen and her nose and lips were a bit red. She was so tired as she was so tensed and trying her best to take good care of her grandfather since the morning. But still her father can't see her love and care for her grandfather. He can't see her true value.
He caressed her cheek with his thumb, being careful that he won't wake her up. He was sad. He wanted to keep his wife always happy and he thought meeting her family will make her happy. Her mother and grandfather. But little did he know that it will cause his wife's heartbreak. Unknowingly he hugged her tightly and being in half sleep, Ira hugged him back. He smiled softly when she hugged him and placed a kiss on her forehead. He caressed her hair with heavy heart and while thinking about everything that happened moments ago, he also fell asleep.
Arround dinner time, Ira awoke to someone knocking on the door. She opened her eyes but her vision was blurry and she was half conscious. She rubbed her eyes to see clearly and felt two strong arms arround her waist, hugging her tightly. She looked up to see her husband sleeping soundly. His expressions were relaxed as always whenever he sleeps with her. A smile appeared on her face, thinking how blessed she is to have a husband like him. But the smile slowly dropped when she remembered everything that happened in the evening. She is blessed to have Raksheet as her husband, but is Raksheet blessed too to have her in his life?
The knock on the door interrupted Ira's thought. She looked at the window and it's already dark outside. She removed Raksheet's hand from her waist and got off the bed.
"Where are you going?" Raksheet asked in hoarse voice, rubbing his eyes in half sleep.
"There is someone on the door." She replied and wore her footwear.
"hmm.." he said and sat up on the bed, stretching his arms.
Ira first went towards the mirror and fixed her appearance. She then opened the door and found a maid standing with her eyes looking down.
"What?"
"Your highness, the dinner is ready. Everyone is waiting for you and his majesty at dining hall." The maid informed.
Ira's eyes widened when she realised that it's dinner time. She don't know whether her grandfather had his dinner yet or not. And if he already had it, what did he ate. Did he took his medicine?
"Has my grandfather had dinner?" She asked hurriedly.
"Yes, he ate his dinner. And he also took his medicine. He might be sleeping right now."
Hearing that her grandfather had his dinner and medicine on time, Ira felt relieved. "Oh, ok. You can go now."
The maid left from there after getting Ira's order.
Ira closed the door and went inside.
"Is everything ok?" Raksheet asked.
Ira nod and sat down on the bed beside him, holding her head with both of her hands.
Raksheet moved closer to Ira and hugged her from side. "What happened?"
"Nothing." She replied in low voice with heavy heart.
Knowing that his wife is hiding her emotions and will not express it until he force her by asking repeatedly. He cupped her cheek with one hand and made her look up at him. "Tell me, are you still thinking about what happened in the evening?"
Ira felt sudden embarrassment and pain in her heart. The way her father yelled at her infront of everyone, it's too insulting. How will she face everyone?
She nod with a sad expression.
"You don't have to think about that anymore. I know whatever he said is wrong and hurtful but he is your father. He was just worried about grandfather's health or else he wouldn't have yelled at you infront of others. I am sure he is trying not to create any scene here but he can't control his anger when he saw grandfather in bad condition. Just like you, he love grandfather too. How can you expect him to stay idle when his father is sick? I am sure he didn't meant to yell at you in your own house."
Raksheet explained so that Ira would not feel bad anymore. It's normal for parents to yell at their kids.
