The deeper he went, the larger the dragon bones became. Piles of bones rose like small hills.
Faint dragon roars echoed in his ears, as if the sky were collapsing and the earth shattering. Gu You felt as though he had returned to an ancient battlefield, where giant dragons fell one by one while enemies charged in from all directions.
This once-dominant race that had ruled the entire continent had gradually faded away through one battle after another.
Facing these remains, Gu You couldn't help but lament, 'What an incomparably powerful race. If all of these had truly been living dragons, what kind of terrifying legion would they have formed? Yet even such a legion had been defeated. Even the weakest among them could probably match a human Title Douluo.'
Those colossal skeletons stretching thousands of meters in height—such true dragons must have reached god-level strength, far beyond what Gu You could comprehend.
'Has the Dragon Clan really fallen this far?'
Sensing the stirring of his own bloodline, Gu You sighed inwardly and continued pressing forward step by step.
Far off in the distance, a silver figure had also entered the Dragon Valley. Strangely, she was doing the same thing as Gu You—walking slowly forward, gently touching each dragon bone, tears glimmering in her eyes.
'Why... why is heaven so unfair, treating my Dragon Clan like this?'
'Why would the Divine Realm reject us, forcing us to rise in rebellion?'
'The fall of the Dragon Clan is because of heaven's jealousy. Because of those humans—those despicable humans!'
As she continued walking, the sorrow around her intensified. A layer of silver radiance shimmered around her body, and wherever she passed, the auras from the dragon bones grew calmer.
The entire small world began to tremble faintly.
No one knew how long he had been walking before Gu You suddenly halted. What appeared before him was an unimaginably enormous skeleton.
This skeletal figure towered over ten thousand meters high. Its entire body was a dark brown hue, distinct from all the other remains in the valley. It emanated an unmatched, weighty aura that caused the gravity within several kilometers to increase noticeably.
It had no wings, and its body was incredibly thick, with limbs like pillars holding up the sky.
'The Mountain Dragon King... the Earth Monarch.'
Gu You slowly walked forward, sensing the energy fluctuations radiating from the Mountain Dragon King's massive form. His whole body tingled with an indescribable sensation.
Compared to the other dragon bones, the Mountain Dragon King exuded even stronger emotions—overwhelming fury and bitter resentment.
As he drew closer, Gu You finally saw that the massive skeleton had a giant fracture running from head to tail—its enormous body had been cleaved in half.
Gu You had experienced the Mountain Dragon King's defense through Long Yue, and the real one before him now was surely a thousand times stronger. Yet even such a mighty being had perished, and in such a brutal way.
He closed his eyes. His blood surged, and his chest felt like a heavy stone was pressing down—an indescribable sorrow.
Not only he, but even the bloodline within him began to boil.
Walking past the Mountain Dragon King's remains, Gu You saw another valley lying beyond. A valley within the valley.
Behind the Mountain Dragon King, the earth had caved in, revealing a colossal pit over ten thousand meters wide.
Gu You looked down. The pit extended a full kilometer deep, and within it shimmered an immense glow of multicolored light, existing in the form of mist. It was impossible to make out what was truly inside.
Gu You leapt down, the purple light on his body flaring brighter.
'Dragon God's soul, I've come!'
The multicolored mist below quivered and parted on its own, allowing Gu You to fall through.
As he passed through, his vision blurred—then he saw it.
A massive dragon.
More precisely, a massive dragon soul.
This soul was twice the size of the Mountain Dragon King, its entire body glowing with seven-colored light. Even its scales shimmered in rainbow hues. Each scale was irregular in shape, yet perfectly aligned like an intricate mosaic of precious gems.
It held its head high, emanating an aura too overwhelming to describe. The moment Gu You saw it, his bloodline surged violently within him, almost to the point of bursting.
'Is it really... it?!'
A voice echoed from within Gu You.
"Senior, now's not the time for that. You know what I'm here for." Gu You clutched his chest and murmured.
"Haha... My grudge with it ended long ago. Its death now has nothing to do with me. I just didn't expect... even after losing its peak strength as the Nine-Colored Dragon God, its seven-colored soul would still be this powerful. I admit it—it's far stronger than I ever was." After those words, the voice fell silent.
Lifting his head, Gu You looked at the towering figure of the Dragon God's soul. After that brief surge of chaos in his bloodline, an overwhelming sense of familiarity filled his heart.
'You and I... were once one.'
The Dragon God's soul showed no aggression. It simply stood at the center of the valley, enshrouded in radiant seven-colored light. Gu You took a deep breath and approached slowly until he was within arm's reach.
The moment his palm touched the Dragon God's soul, a loud humming sound erupted.
The sound grew louder. The immense soul seemed to come alive.
A powerful dragon roar echoed through the entire Dragon Valley!
All the wandering dragon souls within the valley immediately prostrated themselves. The Dragon Valley itself seemed to tremble—bones and spirits alike stirred, as if awakened from an eternal slumber.
Gu You felt like he had entered a world made entirely of rainbow light. Everything around him changed.
In his mind, a blood-red figure appeared.
He watched as the crimson silhouette pointed toward the sky. A colossal crimson sword, stretching from heaven to earth, cleaved downward toward him.
Everything turned blood-red in that instant. Gu You felt as if his entire body was being torn apart. The excruciating pain forced a scream from his lips.
At that very moment, a silver figure appeared at his side. Her right hand stretched out, rapidly enlarging as she slapped her palm against the Dragon God's soul.
Her body trembled too. A seven-colored glow shrouded her form.
She turned her head, eyes wide in shock as she stared at—
