Chapter 3 - 3. ANASA

Headlights, bags filled with charger, survival kits, we were ready to wriggle in the tunnel for the scripts. But once we jumped into the hole, it wasn't the outcome we thought we would get.

"Boka!"

One of them, the red one, said as he danced around the camp, calling more of them.

"We…we can't get out"

Enin whispered as we tried to back away. The tunnel had long disappeared into a large tree. Gone. Our only escape was gone. Soon, more little people surrounded the area, staring at us, pointing at us. They had long ears and pointy nose. The male seemed to wear a long grey hood while the female seemed to wear clothes with more colours.

"Bazu Zu ka' ki!"

The one with the golden sceptre and long grey beard yelled and they all started dispersing one by one, albeit looking strangely at us. We were struck to the core; we forgot to move and even breathe. Was I still dreaming? Sobul seemed to have been thinking the same thing as he pinched his arm and winced.

Out here, everything was little coming till our knees, but only when we craned our heads and looked above, we saw gigantic mansions standing tall.

"We…let's explore. Find something before something else comes for our execution"

Ilira said and we all nodded our heads. Some little creatures peeked from their windows as I moved past their mushroom houses which was so damn cute. Very colourful too, with unseen flowers and fields of vegetation. Not going to lie, I'd take a picture if I could. I checked for my phone and on the get go, an error in my sim card popped up. Not even one of our phones were usable at this moment except for Abhay's

He had a frown on his face as he looked at the screen.

"Need a moment"

He said.

At that point, drones the size of a hand came whirring towards us. All the little people coming out once again, but this time to see us get carried away by those drones which turned to a robot. What kind of fucking place was this!?

"Psst….do you have any idea where they are taking us?"

Sobul asked.

"Dumb bitch. Probably to the execution place. Haven't you read those medieval torture shits…. forget it. Who am I even talking to"

Enin and I smiled momentarily, before they dumped us on the castle grounds. This time, everything was huge. From the bottom to the top. It felt like the piece was built to pierce the heavens, built in pure sapphire. There were three roofs, jagged, each longer than the other, surrounding the longest, which was on the centre, glinting with a diamond on top.

Multiple coloured glass banes reflected off the lights among each other, adding to the glow.

My mouth hung open as one of the two guards, wearing all bronze, opened the door to let the King walk out. I stared at his face, agape. He was one handsome gentleman, who had azure eyes and curly blue hair. He was dressed in modern clothing, with a long train of cape made from the skin of a jaguar, trailing behind him. I signalled for all of us to bow our heads. Pay respect, minimize whatever we would be receiving.

"Scan them and confiscate whatever they have"

"Wha- Please listen to us. We mean no harm"

We pleaded, but it ended in deaf ears. And just like that, our bags with our equipment were taken away from us.

"I'll be the judge of that"

He said and gestured the robots to bring us in. The floor was tiled and checkered with two seats on the left and two on the right. He didn't go for the one in the centre, instead, sat at one of the seats that was not apart of the main ones.

He put his chin on top of his hand and gestured for us to talk.

And we talked, so much so, he had to tell us to go one by one.

"It was a mistake, we swear. We don't know where we are"

He looked outside into the horizon.

"Research, you say. Have you found it? Those papers"

We shook our heads.

"Do you think I would believe that story? Throw them in the capsules till I know what to do with each one of you"

We were separated. His capsules meant dungeons where I was thrown to. Everything was stark white with electrocuting sparks on the walls and the locked door. Forget about trying, I couldn't even touch the door. Defeated, I sat on the floor. Beside me there were other capsules, I could see an old man waving at me in front of me.

I frowned and waved back.
