To be honest, Asher had previously been conflicted about how he should interact with Artoria afterwards, but seeing her attitude was still the same as usual this morning, he felt somewhat relieved. And now, the two were routinely patrolling the town streets.

In the distance, faintly visible were the rising high walls, and judging by the progress of the construction, it would probably take another year or two to complete. When they reached the edge of the fields, Asher looked back at the maiden. Her steps were small, and she seemed to be walking carefully.

"Lily, do you want to rest for a while?"

"No need," Artoria shook her head, paused slightly, and continued, "If you feel tired and want to rest, I can agree to that."

"Is that so? Then let's keep walking," Asher nodded.

Artoria: "..." She didn't say anything, just continued to walk forward, taking small steps. Seeing this, Asher could only smile helplessly and took her wrist.

"What are you doing?" she looked up and asked.

"I'm tired and want to rest for a while. Will you sit with me?" Asher said. Artoria glanced at him and nodded silently. Asher watched the maiden walk to a nearby grassy slope and carefully sit down, and he couldn't help but chuckle.

She really is someone who can't keep her true feelings hidden... hmm, if I had to say, she's a tsundere? Thinking this, Asher turned his head and carefully scrutinized Artoria for a few moments. If he were to imagine her golden hair tied into twin tails... it felt as if the aura of a losing dog would immediately assault him.

"What are you looking at?" As if sensing Asher's gaze, Artoria frowned and suddenly turned her head to ask.

"No, nothing." Asher quickly shook his head, then walked over and sat down beside her. Artoria's intuition was too strong; she had easily sensed the mischievous thoughts in Asher's gaze earlier. But Artoria did not move her gaze away, still frowning and staring intently at Asher, "Very suspicious."

"It's just your imagination," Asher replied, still looking straight ahead. After staring intently at Asher for a moment, Artoria finally withdrew her gaze, and both fell into a brief silence. She secretly peeked at Asher, then shifted her body, allowing herself to get closer to Asher.

Then, she tilted her head slightly, resting it perfectly on Asher's shoulder, and whispered, "It feels so peaceful, all thanks to you."

"This is the result of your and our combined efforts," Asher looked up, gazing into the distance. "I couldn't have made Britain what it is now on my own." Time quietly passed. Occasionally, town residents walked by, but they didn't disturb the two, simply offering kind smiles and

then quietly walking away.

After resting for a while, Asher turned and asked, "How's your rest going?"

"Me?" Artoria was startled, and her tone was calm as she replied, "I was just sitting here to rest to accommodate you."

"No, could it be... you suggested resting for my sake?"

Artoria stared intently into Asher's eyes and asked.

Under Artoria's piercing gaze, Asher's eyes wavered, and he said, "Your legs were weak this morning... so I thought you should rest more. All in all, you didn't need to come out with me today."

Weak legs... Artoria's face flushed slightly, her eyes flickered, and she said in a somewhat defiant voice, "That's a separate matter from last night's events, and you underestimate my stamina. My stamina has fully recovered by now; any clear-sighted person can see that."

Asher thought to himself that he really couldn't tell.

Artoria's walking movements just now were quite small.

Asher had even offered to carry her during that time, but she refused. Her knightly dignity didn't allow Artoria to be carried by King Arthur outside.

"You really think my stamina is no good, don't you?"

Seeing Asher fall silent, Artoria raised an eyebrow, "Then let's try again tonight." So why did she have this competitive spirit even in these strange areas?! Asher complained inwardly, quickly waving his hands, "I believe you, I misunderstood just now, I know your stamina is great! So let's skip tonight..."

What a joke, once in a while was fine, but if it was like this every night, who could stand it? Artoria silently turned her head to look at the rice stalks in front of her and remained silent. Even she felt quite hurt by such a refusal.

"What I meant was that we're both tired today, so let's just rest for now, I don't mean to dislike you." Asher explained.

"It doesn't matter whether you explain it or not," Artoria said coolly. But her previously tense expression noticeably relaxed. Asher smiled, raised his hand, and patted her head, stroking it gently. The ahoge on her head was pressed down by his palm, but it immediately sprang back up the next moment.

"Let's go back," he said. Artoria nodded gently, watching the boy who was walking ahead. Her gaze lingered on his hand again. She reached out, as if to touch him, but pulled back before her hand could reach Asher's.

"What's wrong?" Asher turned back and asked curiously.

"Nothing," Artoria quietly turned her face away. Her expression was tense, embarrassed by her earlier desire to hold hands, but also annoyed by her embarrassment.

Her adoptive father, Sir Ector, had once told her that as a knight, one should be honest, humble, brave, just, honorable, self-sacrificing, fight against wrong, fight for the weak, be loyal to friends, and be sincere in love. She had indeed done it... at least partially. Following her imperial sister's advice, she had forcefully taken her revered king, also her friend's fiance... could she still be called a knight?

No... calm down, thinking about this now was meaningless. Shishou and Imperial Sister made the first move! And, and Uathach even encouraged her and told her how to pursue Ash. In short, she was just following Uathach's "advice." Thinking carefully, wasn't this being loyal to friends and sincere in love?! This was upholding the knightly virtues! At this thought, Artoria's eyes lit up again.

And at this moment, a hand quietly grasped Artoria's soft, smooth small hand. She looked up in surprise and saw Asher smiling, "Your stamina hasn't fully recovered yet, so this way it's less likely for you to fall." Artoria, uncharacteristically, didn't argue this time. She simply allowed him to hold her hand as they walked towards the royal city.

This time... just this once, she'd allow it, as if her stamina truly was lacking.
