Looking at Gobta's sharp gaze, Shogo and the other two froze for a moment, then shouted loudly.
"Why did your guard here suddenly attack us!"
"Are you trying to plot something nefarious!"
Hearing Shogo's shout from the side, Gobta was momentarily stunned. He then cast a strange look at Gobje.
"I didn't! Brother Gobta!" Gobje shouted back immediately.
Although he wasn't currently riding his Ranga wolf-the symbol of the Goblin Riders-Gobje was still a bona fide member of the corps. More than that, he was Gobta's direct subordinate.
"My apologies," Gobta said casually to Shogo and the other two. "I'll discipline him properly."
His tone was light. Too light.
It clearly displeased the three of them.
"Brother Gobta, I-"
"Enough." Gobta raised a hand. "Gobje, I believe you're innocent."
Gobje froze.
"But the problem now isn't whether you did it or not."
As he spoke, Gobta glanced again at Shogo and the others. The more he looked, the more suspicious they felt. Without changing his expression, he quietly activated the communication magic that Shirou Emiya and Rimuru had established throughout Emiya City, sending a brief report to Benimaru and the others at headquarters.
"B-Brother Gobta... you believe me?" Gobje asked, stunned.
Gobta sighed.
"Is that even a question? You don't have the guts for something like that."
He said it decisively, without hesitation.
Gobje's eyes instantly turned red. He rushed forward and hugged Gobta, crying loudly.
"I'll follow you for life, Big Brother!"
Gobta frowned.
He didn't like this posture at all, but he still patted Gobje on the shoulder in a perfunctory attempt at comfort.
Watching the two of them act like devoted brothers, Kirara's expression darkened.
"Hold on," she snapped. "What's going on here? Are you saying I'm lying?"
"Huh?" Gobta tilted his head, genuinely surprised. "Can't you tell?"
That single sentence pushed Kirara's anger straight to its limit.
"What a joke, you trash!" she screamed. "How dare you look down on me and act so arrogant! You didn't even see it happen-why do you believe him!"
Gobta's response was unhurried.
"It's simple," he said. "You should always believe your comrades."
He spoke as if stating an obvious fact.
"Bullshit!" Kirara yelled. "Who would believe such a ridiculous reason!"
"Then I'll be direct," Gobta continued calmly. "This Gobje only loves Miss Shion. Everyone knows that."
He paused, then added,
"How could he possibly touch a little blonde girl like you?"
For a single second, there was silence.
Then everyone present burst out laughing.
"Wait, Brother Gobta, you've gone too far!" Gobje's face turned bright red as he stomped his foot, shouting in embarrassment.
"Shut up," Gobta replied flatly. "Everyone knows it. There's no use pretending now."
"You said... everyone?"
"That's right. Everyone," Gobta said with a shrug. "Give up, Gobje."
Gobje clenched his fists and screamed.
"I thought I'd follow you for life, but I guess not!"
The farce had gone on long enough.
Kirara's anger finally exploded.
"Nonsense! You bunch of trash! Don't look down on me!" she shrieked. "All of you-die!"
At that moment, her original battle plan completely vanished from her mind. Right now, Kirara Mizutani only wanted to kill everyone who had mocked her.
In her mind, perhaps only Shogo and Kyoya would survive afterward.
But she didn't care.
As for Shogo and Kyoya, the plan itself was never that important to begin with. Kirara causing a scene didn't bother them in the slightest. Both of them revealed pleased smiles, already imagining the chaos that would follow.
These three otherworldly visitors had lived under constant restriction within the Falmuth Kingdom. That pressure had long since pushed their minds to the brink.
Their personalities had become extremely aggressive.
Kirara imagined corpses strewn everywhere.
But reality didn't change at all.
"How can this be...?"
The surrounding adventurers and merchants were still chuckling. Nothing happened. The expected carnage never came.
Besides Kirara, even Shogo and Kyoya were left utterly confused.
Then, a voice spoke.
It was gentle.
"I see. This ability converts sound into a wavelength and uses it to interfere with brainwaves."
The tone was soft, yet firm. Within it was an unmistakable refusal.
"It's a very terrifying ability. Strictly forbidden in our country."
The speaker was Shuna.
After receiving Gobta's communication, she had rushed here together with Shion. They arrived just in time, before tragedy could unfold.
Shuna wore a gentle smile as she looked at Kirara. Using her unique skill, Analyzer, she completely dissected Kirara's ability. At the same time, she adjusted her own demonic energy, synchronizing it to the same wavelength and converting it into a homogeneous signal.
Kirara's power was neutralized.
"You few are not worthy of coming to this country," Shuna said softly. "Please leave."
Her smile remained warm.
Her eyes did not.
They were cold.
Shuna had clearly perceived the killing intent hidden within Kirara's attack. Driving them away was unavoidable.
"No... this is impossible..." Kirara collapsed weakly to the ground.
She understood it clearly.
The gap between them was far too great.
This woman wasn't like the rabble she'd dealt with before. She was a true monster.
"Oh?" Shogo laughed suddenly. "So you dare treat me with this kind of attitude."
He licked his lips.
"Fine. Since you're turning against us, I'll show you my strength!"
Even though he knew the opponent was powerful, Shogo wasn't worried at all. He trusted his own power absolutely.
At the same time, his gaze lingered on Shuna, almost mesmerized by her beauty. A thought surfaced naturally.
If he defeated her, she would become his slave.
Such a beautiful woman. Such a monster.
He wanted her.
Shogo's mind quickly filled with vile fantasies. He imagined making her suffer, forcing her to cry and scream, mocking her as she broke. He would play with her until she begged for mercy.
Those filthy thoughts were written plainly on his face.
Before he could say another word, a calm voice cut through the air.
"You pervert."
Shogo froze.
"Your disgusting thoughts are all over your face," the voice continued. "Leave obediently and I'll spare your life. Refuse, and don't expect to live."
A slender figure stepped forward, standing in front of Shuna.
She wore a suit.
Cold. Beautiful.
Shion.
Her eyes burned with anger as she shielded Shuna behind her.
"Interesting!" Shogo roared, a brutal smile twisting his face. "How dare you ruin my fun. Watch me slaughter you!"
He didn't believe he could lose.
That was the composure of someone convinced of their own strength.
"Is that so?" Shion replied evenly. "Then it seems you won't learn without a beating."
She took a step forward.
"Very well. I'll be your opponent."
Just like that, Shion and Shogo clashed.
Kyoya watched the scene with interest.
With no annoying supervisor around, he no longer needed to pretend to be a good child. And since Shogo had already started fighting, there was no reason for him to hold back either.
"Hm," he murmured. "Since it's come to this, I'll do as I please."
A twisted smile crept across his face.
"I've always wanted to test this power."
He drew his sword.
Ever since coming to this world, he had been waiting for this moment. Now, finally, he had the chance to unleash himself.
"Gobje," Gobta said calmly, pulling his long spear from the shadow at his feet. "Protect Miss Shuna."
Kyoya raised his sword, pointing it directly at Gobta.
Swordsmanship was Kyoya's specialty.
His unique skill was Exterminator, a power that focused entirely on slashing attacks. He could use it effectively thanks to his innate talent for the sword, as well as an additional skill-Heaven's Eye.
Heaven's Eye was like a bird's-eye view in a game. It allowed him to grasp both his own condition and the surrounding battlefield, greatly enhancing his vision and reaction speed.
And that wasn't all.
Accelerated Thought boosted his cognitive and judgment speed by three hundred times.
With these three abilities combined, Kyoya wasn't limited to the Falmuth Kingdom. He could become one of the strongest swordsmen in the Western Nations.
Razen had ordered him to hide his abilities.
That order didn't matter here.
Finally able to fight at full power, Kyoya felt his blood boil.
"Hahaha!" he laughed wildly. "With this strength, even that old hag Hinata is nothing to me!"
He swung his sword.
"Let alone trash like you!"
...
On the high eaves above the battlefield, Shirou Emiya sat with little Rimuru, quietly observing the chaos below.
Beside them stood Benimaru, Hakuro, Souei, Kurobe, Geld, and the others, all silent.
In the shadows cast by the buildings behind them, the Goblin Rider Corps, Orc Corps, and Dragonewt Corps were fully assembled. Armor gleamed faintly in the darkness as they waited for a single command.
Shirou Emiya rested his chin in his hand, lips curling slightly.
"Later," he said calmly, "let the other two escape on purpose."
He paused.
"Leave the one named Shogo."
"And send him to hell."
"Yes, Lord Emiya," Benimaru replied.
His eyes were cold.
A dangerous smile spread across his lips.
Die.
