Chapter 183: Her Move (9)
Apollonia halted her horse about three hundred paces away from Liepherr Castle and approached the castle gate alongside Uriel, as Petra had requested, albeit slightly earlier than demanded.
No one dared to stop her, as they had been explicitly instructed not to.
A thousand soldiers stood prepared with their horses, lined up beside Apollonia’s, poised to follow her lead.
Both Apollonia and Uriel sported silver armor and wielded swords. Despite her lack of a helmet, Apollonia presented herself as a monarch going into battle.
One thing that struck out as being odd, however, was the sight of Uriel dragging two large sacks with him.
Apollonia’s long blonde hair flowed in the wind, half-tied up, giving her an aura of gold luminance even amid the surrounding darkness.
As Apollonia came to a stop, Uriel carefully set down the sacks, and something inside them appeared to be moving.
“Open the gate,” Apollonia said, her gaze fixed on the castle wall.
