Matthew's P.O.V
"I didn't know you'd ever been with an Omega," Camilla said, her voice laced with curiosity. Then she tilted her head, eyes narrowing. "Or am I wrong?"
God. She wasn't a kid anymore, couldn't lie to her like I used to. But was it really the right time to tell her everything? I mean, could she even handle it? Could she hear the truth without freaking out about Theo being a male Omega, and now he's pregnant with my pup?
"Matt," she said, reaching out and gripping my hand tight. "You know you can't lie to me, right?"
I pulled my hand back. My jaw clenched, and I shot her a look. "You don't get to dig into me like this, Cam," I muttered.
"That's because you won't just say what I need to hear," she snapped.
I shook my head. "Don't pull this crap again. If you do, I won't be coming back here anytime soon."
Her face twisted in frustration. The smell of steak wafting from the next table didn't tempt her anymore, our little spat had killed her appetite.
