Chapter 46 - ch-46 starter pokemon

On the other side very early in morning

Before dawn, Alex was already awake, packing sleek, top-of-the-line gear he'd ordered with his growing fortune: a self-heating field cooker, a compact solar generator, an all-terrain hoverboard, and a capsule tent reinforced with Lucario-steel poles.

Beside him, Rena (now a graceful Gardevoir) closed each travel case with a gentle flick of Psychic power while humming a soft tune.

"Ready?" he asked.

Ready, she answered through their bond—eyes shining with excitement.

Soon arrive at Oak Laboratory

The sun had barely cleared the treetops when Alex stepped through the lab's double doors. Professor Oak awaited him in a white coat, smiling proudly. Standing just behind him was Daisy, dressed in a sky-blue blouse and ivory skirt that fluttered in the breeze.

Alex greeted the professor, then turned to Daisy with a playful grin.

"You look breathtaking today, my sweetheart." He pulled her into a quick embrace.

Daisy blushed crimson and hugged him back.

Oak cleared his throat—loudly.

"A-ahem! Time enough for that after the ceremony."

They parted, laughing

Then akg look towards presentation table

On the presentation table sat three Pokéballs, each marked with its elemental symbol.

1. 🔥 Charmander – flicking its tail, eyes bright.

2. 💧 Squirtle – grinning confidently inside its shell.

3. 🌱 Bulbasaur – calm, leaves rustling softly.

Alex's Supreme Eye read their hidden potential:

• Charmander — Elite-grade growth

• Squirtle — Elite-grade growth

• Bulbasaur — High Gym-grade growth

Recalling that Gary dreamed of partnering Squirtle, Alex chose Charmander without hesitation.

He released it; the little Fire-type blinked up at him, tail flame crackling.

"Hey, partner," Alex said warmly. "Welcome to the team."

Charmander chirped in delight before returning to its ball.

Professor Oak handed over a black-and-gold Pokedex, the Alliance crest glinting on the casing.

"This isn't ordinary," Oak explained. "Only high-level Alliance members carry them. Treat it—and your identity—well."

Alex bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Professor."

After receiving his pokedex Alex move toward Daisy

Soon a door slammed voice come ; Gary Oak burst in, panting.

"Grandpa! Is Squirtle still here?"

"Slow down, boy," Oak scolded, though fondly. "Yes, Squirtle's waiting."

Gary snatched the ball with a triumphant grin, received his own license pack, then strode over to Daisy and Alex.

"Sis, stay away from this guy—he's a total scumbag; he's got other girlfriends!"

Whack! Daisy knocked him on the head with a rolled-up clipboard.

"He told me first, dummy—now apologize to your future brother-in-law!"

Gary rubbed his head, wincing. "Urgh… sorry, bro. Just teasing."

Alex laughed. "No hard feelings, Gary. Take good care of Squirtle; we'll battle soon."

Squirtle popped from its ball, giving a thumbs-up. Charmander answered with a flick of flame and an eager growl—rivalry already sparked.

Licenses in hand, Alex clipped Charmander's ball beside Stormborne Gyarados's.
