Chapter 75 - Ch 74 Going on Dates? Part -3

Morning sunlight spilled across the quiet streets of Cerulean City. Akg was already waiting outside the Waterflower residence, leaning casually against a white fence. He glanced up as Daisy stepped out of the doorway — and for a moment, even he had to pause.

Daisy, the eldest of the Waterflower sisters, was elegance personified. Her long golden hair shimmered like spun silk under the light, and her white summer dress flowed with every step. A soft, graceful smile touched her lips as she approached.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Professor," she said, teasing lightly.

Akg smiled. "You're right on time. And… you look stunning today."

Her cheeks colored faintly, though she tried to hide it behind a playful toss of her hair. "Flattery this early in the morning? You're dangerous."

He laughed softly. "Just honest."

They decided to walk through the gardens north of Cerulean, a quiet retreat filled with blooming flowers, crystal ponds, and the soft hum of nature. It was a perfect place for someone like Daisy — calm, radiant, and full of life.

As they strolled side by side, her hand occasionally brushed his. Neither said anything about it, yet each touch sent a quiet warmth through their chests.

Daisy broke the silence first. "You know, I've watched Misty fall for you little by little. And honestly…" she turned her eyes toward him, "I can see why."

Akg glanced at her curiously. "Oh? And what do you see?"

Her lips curved into a smile. "A man who listens. Who doesn't just see a Pokémon's potential, but a person's heart. It's rare, Akg — really rare."

He looked thoughtful for a moment. "Maybe that's because I see value in both strength and kindness. They balance each other."

"That's exactly what I mean," Daisy said softly. "You're not just strong — you're… centered."

They reached a pond surrounded by pale blue lotuses. Daisy knelt by the water's edge, gently touching one of the blossoms. "These flowers are beautiful, aren't they? They bloom even in muddy water. Reminds me of how people grow through hardship."

Akg sat beside her, watching the reflection of the sky ripple on the pond's surface. "You sound like a poet."

She smiled, glancing at him sideways. "And you sound like someone who understands more than you admit."

For a while, the two just sat there, talking about small things — the travels Akg had taken, the Pokémon Daisy cared for at the gym, her dreams of turning the Waterflower Gym into both a battle arena and a sanctuary for Water-types.

"You have vision," Akg said after she finished explaining, genuine admiration in his tone. "If anyone can make that happen, it's you."

Her expression softened. "Coming from you, that means a lot."

A gentle breeze passed through, scattering petals over the water. One landed on Daisy's shoulder. Akg reached out without thinking, brushing it away. His fingers lingered a moment longer than necessary, and their eyes met.

For a second, neither of them moved — the world seemed to slow around them, the only sound the quiet song of the wind and the water.

Daisy's heartbeat quickened, but instead of pulling away, she smiled faintly. "Careful," she said softly. "You're going to make me fall for you even harder."

Akg's smile deepened, calm but sincere. "Maybe that's the point."

Her breath caught — not because of surprise, but because of how effortlessly he said it, like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Later, they sat together under a tree for lunch. Daisy had brought homemade sandwiches and berry tea. They laughed over stories from their childhoods, and Daisy teased him for being "too composed for someone with so many admirers."

"I'm not sure I'd call it composure," he replied with a grin. "Maybe I'm just trying to keep up with you all."

She laughed — soft and melodic — then leaned against him, her head resting gently on his shoulder. "You don't have to keep up, Akg. Just… be here. That's enough."

He looked down at her, the afternoon light glinting in her eyes. "I am," he said quietly. "And I will be."

As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky gold, Daisy stood with him by the lake again. "I had a wonderful day," she said, brushing her hair behind her ear. "You make the world feel… calm. Safe."

Akg smiled, offering his hand. "Then I'll make sure to keep it that way."

She took his hand, fingers intertwining with his. The gesture was simple, but it carried all the warmth and quiet understanding they didn't need words for.

When they returned home, Daisy lingered by the doorway, turning to him one last time. "You really are trouble, Akg," she said with a soft laugh. "Now I can't stop thinking about you.

He smiled, his tone gentle. "Then we'll just have to spend more days like this."

They both chuckled quietly, though the moment lingered — delicate, almost fragile. Daisy stepped closer, close enough for him to feel her heartbeat beneath his palm. She hesitated, searching his eyes as if asking for permission without words. When he didn't pull away, she leaned in, and their lips met — slow, warm, filled with the emotions neither had voiced all evening.

When they finally broke apart, the silence was comfortable, intimate. She rested her head on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around her, feeling her melt into the embrace.

A little while later, they found themselves side by side on her bed.

The world outside didn't exist for them anymore. Daisy's hand rested gently on his chest as she whispered, half-asleep with sweat covering her body and red spot visible below her .

"You make me feel safe, AKG."

He smiled, brushing his thumb along her cheek. "Sleep, Daisy. I'll be right here."

The moonlight poured through the curtains, painting them in silver. She drifted off first, breathing softly against his arm. AKG stayed awake a little longer, watching her peaceful face and realizing just how much she'd come to mean to him.

By the time he closed his eyes, the night had already wrapped them both in quiet warmth .
