Shadow Clone was a skill Agares got from a merchant on the 70th floor. Since he had one unlocked skill slot left, he could learn a new skill—one he felt was important for him.
That merchant sold skill tokens, both for hero-specific jobs and general ones. But there were no tokens for the Saber job.
Agares didn't let that discourage him and chose a different path. In the end, after scanning hundreds of skills in Merchant Luo's database, he picked Shadow Clone.
He wasn't interested in Lancer skills—just a personal matter.
Even though many of the Lancer hero's job skills were powerful, they didn't appeal to him.
Assassin skills didn't help either since his sword's debuff reduced his agility.
Warpriest skills were usable, but only for those with a light affinity base stat.
Archer skills? What was he going to throw? His sword?
