Some of the city's residents came to Agares's funeral—especially those who knew or had met him before. The ceremony didn't last long. They all went home before sunset.
That afternoon, Agares was relaxing in the second-floor lounge with Aoi while waiting for Milenia to return.
As they waited, Agares opened his inventory menu and looked over his items. Aoi kept playing with a ball, bouncing around in excitement. They both waited patiently.
Not long after, Agares heard a familiar voice coming from downstairs. It was Milenia—she had returned with her people.
Agares stood up and called Aoi to come along. They walked down the stairs and saw Milenia arrive, her face covered in sweat. It must've been scorching hot outside.
"Agares," Milenia greeted.
"How did it go?" Agares asked.
"Everything's fine. No one suspected it was your clone."
"Good."
Just as Agares was about to deactivate the skill, Milenia raised her hand to stop him.
