Chapter 3 - Don’t Bleed Twice

Haiku 1 – Betrayal

I saw it coming. Not the lie, but the comfortyou had in telling it.

Poem: "The Door Was Never Locked"

You didn't break me.You just provedyou were never strong enoughto hold something honest.

I watched you fumble loyaltylike it was a hot coal.Too real.Too steady.Too much.

So I stepped back.Let you go.

I don't chain what I outgrow.

Haiku 2 – Boundaries

My peace is fenced in.Not to keep people away—just to keep me in.

Poem: "No Warning Shot"

I don't argue.I don't explain.

I disappear when silence feels lighterthan your energy.

By the time you notice,I'm already legendin your memory.

One-line Reflection:

Some people confuse access with importance. Until they don't have either.

Haiku 3 – Freedom

I don't miss the chains.I miss the noise I mistookfor someone loving me.

Poem: "Folded Hands"

I don't wish you pain.Just distance.The kind that echoes.

The kind that makes youreach for what you lostand realize you dropped itbecause you didn't understandwhat you were holding.

One-line Reflection:

Freedom isn't walking away. It's realizing you were never being held.
