Tonks was grinning at the latest order of the Phoenix meeting, Sirius and Dumbledore had left the room, Tonks believed it was so they could have an argument over Sirius letting Snape into the house, personally Tonks hoped that Sirius would win. She had never liked Snape, the smarmy git was an asshole who shouldn't be allowed near people as far as she was concerned. But the interesting part was the fact that Sirius had invited Harry downstairs to show everyone the memory of his fight with Apophis. Sirius had set the pensive down on the table and left with Dumbledore while Harry put the memory in.
Tonks and Harry sat down next to each other while the memory played, Tonks who had already seen the memory only put part of her attention on watching the memory and part on watching the rather hilarious reactions from the others. The Weasley kids were allowed to come and watch as well seeing as the meeting had not officially started yet, well not much allowed as they had refused to leave without seeing the memory, plus the memory started playing before Mrs Weasley could kick them out.
"Hey." Harry whispered in her ear and tapped her hand to get her attention, she looked at him and saw him gesture in the direction of the Weasleys. Tonks looked to where he was gesturing and saw all of the Weasley's open jawed in shock and disbelief, including Molly Weasley. Tonks thought that was especially funny seeing as Mrs Weasley was of the opinion that Harry should be treated like an innocent baby, Tonks could imagine the shock going through the woman's body as she watched him go spell for spell with such a strong and dangerous dark wizard, the youngest male Weasley was not looking much better.
The other members were all in shock and or awe as they watched Harry fight. When the memory was finished everyone turned to look at Harry who simply smiled and waved at them.
"You sure you don't want to become an auror?" Kingsley asked Harry.
"Still no I am afraid," Harry responded before he grinned. "why? Hoping I would do your job for you?"
"You can do my job for me if you want," Tonks responded. "half of the bloody stuff is paper work."
"Hmm, you poor soul." Harry said as he patted her on the shoulder.
"See," Tonks said to Shacklebolt. "he gets it." She added as she gestured to Harry, Shacklebolt did not verbally respond but did roll his eyes, all too familiar with the young aurors love of complaining about paperwork.
"Where did you learn all that?" One member of the order asked Harry.
"Hogwarts." Harry shrugged. "The restricted section in the library, some from books in my vault. A lot of practise as well."
"You could probably join the duelling circuit if you want." Tonks said.
"Maybe." Harry said with a thoughtful look. "Still, I have got plenty of years left before I have to decide what I am going to do after school."
"It is never to early to start thinking about it though," Remus replied. "although I do agree that you will be fine waiting a few years before making any final decisions." Remus said right before Sirius and Dumbledore walked in. Judging by the look on Dumbledore's face and the look on Sirius's face, many had realised that Sirius had won the argument.
"The meeting is about to start." Dumbledore said, which spurred Molly Weasley into parent mode.
"Kids, out now." She said as she began herding her children out.
"Have fun." Harry whispered to Tonks and patted her knee before he stood up and left the room, Sirius looked at him and Harry gave him a small nod to let him know that he was glad that the man had refused to let Snape in. Sirius showed no reaction beyond a small smile and nod but internally he was jumping with joy as he was not only able to make things difficult for Snivellus but also make his godson happy at the same time.
That evening Harry was just about to go to bed when he heard a knock on the door.
"Harry," A voice whispered, "it's me, Ginny. Can you open the door please?" her voice asked. Harry walked forwards and opened the door, allowing her to enter.
"What's up Gin?" Harry asked as he closed the door. "Are we..." Harry was interrupted by Ginny pulling him into a passionate kiss and pushing him against his door, Harry absently performed some locking and privacy charms on the door before he placed his focus solely on the redhead. "Whoa, what was that for?" Harry asked once she broke off.
"That fight was just...ah! I mean I am glad you are okay but that was hot!" She said before kissing him again, Harry was tempted to ask her about how the fight was 'hot' but decided he didn't really care.
"I still can not believe this!" Sirius grinned happily as he and Harry were downstairs while the Weasley's were upstairs sleeping. "My godson, my proud little boy-who-lived, is going to learn to be an animagus and I am going to teach him how!" Sirius said with joy, if it was not for the charms that they had placed around the room then Harry would have been worried about the Weasley's overhearing.
"I know, I mean I have already done part of it, I just need your help with the rest. What do you think I will be?" Harry asked. He had decided that being an animagus would be a huge advantage for him, he could have something useful for stealth like Rita's form or he could end up getting something useful in combat like Sirius's dog form. Harry was tempted to just go on this alone but he figured that it would be better to have at least one person in the know if he was going to be attempting the animagus transformation, if it went wrong then it would be helpful to have a knowledgeable person to help him.
"Well...you would probably know the answer to that better than me, but either way it is hard to guess. I mean when your dad started learning how to do the transformation he thought that he would probably be a lion, you know...because Gryffindor."
"Really? That was hard to work out." Harry said in a dry tone.
"Pettigrew," Sirius spat the name out like he had just tasted something foul. "he thought that he would get a dog or something, we should have known that he was wrong ever since he turned into a rat. Anyway, as for me, I expected to have a cheetah or a tiger or something like that. But if we are being honest then I am very happy with my current form."
"What decided what form you get?" Harry asked while also wondering what form he would take.
