Chapter 90 - Chapter 89: Instructions for the Fellowship Offering

"If anyone brings a fellowship offering, whether from the herd—male or female—it must be without defect. He shall lay his hand on the head of the animal and slaughter it at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides.

From the fellowship offering he shall present the fat that covers the inner parts, the two kidneys with the fat near the loins, and the covering of the liver. Aaron's sons shall burn these on the altar, placed on the burnt offering that rests on the wood, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to Me.

If he brings his fellowship offering from the flock—whether male or female—it must be without defect. If he offers a lamb, he shall lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before Me at the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides. From it he shall present the fat, the whole fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the fat that covers the inner parts, the two kidneys with their fat, and the covering of the liver. The priest shall burn these on the altar as food, an offering made by fire to Me.

If his offering is a goat, he shall present it before Me, lay his hand on its head, and slaughter it at the Tent of Meeting. Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides. From it he shall present the fat that covers the inner parts, the kidneys with the fat near the loins, and the covering of the liver. The priest shall burn these on the altar as food, an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to Me.

All the fat belongs to Me. This is a lasting ordinance for all generations, wherever you live: you shall not eat any fat or any blood."
