Chapter 208: Xiao Wu's Fault, Heaven Dou Second Team Takes Full Responsibility
Bang bang bang bang bang bang...
The high-frequency blows showed no signs of stopping. Qian Renxue's strikes were deadly precise. Tang San's limbs were quickly dislocated—elbows and knees unhinged, five ribs broken, and at least two cervical vertebrae misaligned.
Qian Xunji couldn't hold back the grin on his face. This was simply delightful. He was thoroughly enjoying the show.
"Tang San!"
Meng Yiran went from covering her mouth in shock to shielding her eyes in horror. She still remembered giving her first kiss to Tang San's cheek back in the Star Dou Forest two years ago. To this day, she still loved him.
"Xiao San!"
In the shadows, Tang Hao clenched his fists, wishing he could descend from the sky and smash Qian Renxue into pulp to protect his son.
Bang bang bang bang bang!
Another round of strikes followed. Tang San finally passed out. His Clear Sky Hammer turned into a stream of light and returned to his body.
Seeing that it was enough, Qian Renxue whipped a Blue Silver Vine at Tang San's rear, sending him flying. With a crisp snap, Tang San turned into a soccer ball and was launched toward the Heaven Dou Second Team's rest area.
Qian Renxue's motto was always: "If no one offends me, I won't offend them. But if they do, I'll return it tenfold."
Xiao Wu had used her Eight-Stage Drop to severely injure Yu Hairou, Shui Yue'er, and Shen Liuyun, even humiliating them by kicking them like soccer balls back to their team. In return, Qian Renxue would seriously injure every Heaven Dou Second Team member and toss them back the same way.
Whether male or female, beautiful or plain—it made no difference. Anyone mixed with the wicked Tang Clan had it coming.
"Next."
"Boss Dai, what do we do? Maybe I should surrender?" Ma Hongjun swallowed hard, his voice trembling. Damn, this was terrifying. The captain and Tang San had both been crushed—Xiao Wu and Tang San were half-dead. He was just a Soul Elder—was he going up there to die?
"Surrender? You actually said that out loud! Since when did we Shrek people become such cowards?"
Flender stepped up, glaring at Ma Hongjun. His heart was full of hatred for Spirit Hall—his prized student Qin Ming had died at Qian Renxue's hands.
Ma Hongjun pleaded, "Teacher, Qian Renxue is just too terrifying. I really can't win."
"Whether you can or not, you must fight! Have you forgotten who killed Qin Ming? The enemy is right in front of you, and you don't even have the courage to face him? We Shrek students can lose, but we can never be cowards!"
"Yeah, Fatty," said Dai Mubai, clapping Ma Hongjun's shoulder. "Qian Renxue has already consumed a lot of soul power beating Xiao Wu, Gu Chen, and Tang San. You don't have to fight him head-on. Just use your third soul skill Phoenix Ascension and first soul skill Phoenix Fire Line to stall him. Wear down his soul power. Then hand him over to me."
That last part was probably a bluff to give Ma Hongjun some confidence.
"Alright then..."
Ma Hongjun headed to the arena, not daring to look Qian Renxue in the eyes. After rebirth, he had been beaten down by Qian Renxue in the Soto Arena, lost his Phoenix Sunflower herb, and now had just seen Tang San and Xiao Wu crushed. His previously arrogant spirit had vanished completely.
He stepped onto the stage. At the referee's signal, he summoned his spirit.
Two yellow, one purple rings. Spirit power level: 36.
"Begin." The referee called.
Ma Hongjun didn't hesitate. His third ring lit up, and purple-red flames surged around him. A pair of flaming wings formed on his back, flapped once, and sent him soaring 20 meters into the air. Circling Qian Renxue, he activated his first soul skill.
"First Soul Skill—Phoenix Fire Line!"
A flame as thick as a barrel shot from his mouth toward Qian Renxue.
Qian Renxue didn't move. Several Blue Silver Vines rose to form a wall, blocking the flames.
The students from the Botany Academy had been shocked since Qian Renxue revealed the Blue Silver Emperor. They were control-type specialists, yet even they felt oppressed by his spirit. Their vines couldn't match the Blue Silver Grass in toughness, heat resistance, or strength.
Ma Hongjun's flames could reduce their vines to charcoal in seconds. But Qian Renxue's vines withstood half a minute before slowly charring.
A head-to-head between them would be a massacre.
A minute passed. Ma Hongjun thought he could simply exhaust his soul power and step down gracefully. His guard relaxed—until something grabbed his ankle. He looked down. Blue Silver Vine.
Qian Renxue had moved. In a flash, he yanked Ma Hongjun down. His fist was already clenched, glowing jade-white.
Just as Dai Mubai had predicted, after beating Xiao Wu, Gu Chen, and Tang San, Qian Renxue's soul power had taken a hit. He now planned to finish the rest using physical combat.
Seeing the incoming punch, Ma Hongjun panicked. His second ring lit up—Phoenix in Flames. His whole body ignited, and the soul power burst shattered the vine holding him. He took flight again.
Just as he tried to climb back to 20 meters altitude, a dark figure appeared before him—Qian Renxue, using the vines as a springboard, had jumped up to intercept him.
"Down you go."
With those words, Qian Renxue punched Ma Hongjun's chubby face, sending him crashing down from eight meters.
"Fatty, dodge it!!"
Flender screamed. Ma Hongjun's eyes widened. Midair, Qian Renxue was falling like a missile, arms crossed military-style, and was heading straight for—his chest and abdomen.
"AHHH!!"
A scream echoed across the arena. Many closed their eyes and shook their heads. They'd seen this before—when Xiao Wu defeated Shui Yue'er.
Xiao Wu had targeted Shui Yue'er for being Shui Bing'er's sister—Qian Renxue's sister-in-law.
Ma Hongjun spewed blood and foam. His plump body, under the force of Qian Renxue's aerial stomp, bounced like a ball. Qian Renxue then hooked his foot, truly treating him like a soccer ball.
His chest and stomach took another brutal kick—this time, a goal shot.
