Chapter 9: A stronger level.
Outside the destroyed space caused by Azarine earlier. The entire domain of the area was covered in several mirrors in a cube like shape to control as much damage as possible.
And above the cube a figure was standing at it, waiting. Lunaria Caelran.
She had stopped the entire aftermath of the attack earlier by covering it completely in a cube like structure.
"The moment I can release it safely. I am not letting you get away easily..." She mumbled quietly to herself, about not letting Vaelthar get away from her with ease this time.
Not when she had her seal removed from herself and she had gained her Essence again.
God Essence, Mirror of Eternity.
The Essence of absolute defense. The ability to create mirrors from nothing. The shield that could block almost anything. Even Azarine's God Essence which was from the sin series. Because Lunaria used it.
As she waited for the right moment the other three Eclipsal Lords, came.
"Is everything alright?" Seraphine asked, slightly concerned.
Omnithara who gazed at the cube could assume what must have happened. "I see. Azarine went higher than he had to."
"Correct." Lunaria replied back with a sigh. "He was about to destroy the Universe again."
But Thanara with her childlike nature, decided to change the topic of the situation by mentioning something Lunaria did not expected the three Eclipsal Lords to make.
"So... Does that mean neither of you two won the bet?"
Seraphine paused awkwardly, gazing upon Thanara upon being reminded of the indirect bet between Seraphine and Omnithara earlier.
Omnithara who already knew of the indirect bet just sighed slightly. "Well, if we put it in that way then yes. I assume it would be less than what Seraphine had guessed. Meanwhile, Seraphine assumed it was going to be a tenth of the planet. But Azarine went higher than both of it. So neither of us won the bet."
Seraphine grumbled slightly upon hearing she didn't won the bet but also pleased that she did not lost either.
Lunaria who was just staring at the three just thought awkwardly. How are these three even considered great figures with a behaviour like that?
Leaving the matter aside, Thanara looked up at Lunaria and spoke. "Luna, you can open it now. We can deal with thi-"
However, Thanara was cut off by Lunaria in a sharp determined tone. "I am grateful for the assistance lady Thanara. But I would like to settle a score with Vaelthar first myself."
Thanara and Seraphine, a bit surprised by Lunaria's sudden Pride about the earlier defeat. Or so they thought. Omnithara who knew Lunaria well, sighed, and spoke with a tired tone. "Let me guess? He probably destroyed a book of yours accidentally?"
Lunaria who in fact was annoyed because of a reason like that, gave a polite-but-not-so-polite smile, with a vein popping on her forehead. As she remembered what happened earlier.
Flashbacks of earlier.
Lunaria who had just recovered her arm after the sudden attack from Vaelthar earlier upon his arrival in Zephyria. Noticed that a book she was planning to read got a bit burnt. Ruining many pages of it.
As the infamous knowledge obsessed woman in Zephyria. Lunaria almost destroyed her room just from the pressure of her dark murderous aura alone due to how mad she was that her book got burnt. And she did not even realized how suffocating her aura was for someone. An evil and sadistic smile on her face as her eyes burnt like a blue fire.
"You are not going to escape from me now~"
Snapping back to reality.
Lunaria looked at Omnithara and replied with a slightly sadistic tone. "Oh yes, that is in fact the case I want to deal with him alone." Her dark murderous intending aura starting to rise again.
Seraphine and Thanara who had expected something else, paused slightly as the two slightly mummered to each other.
"She is really mad about a book, huh?" Seraphine awkwardly mumbled.
"She is The Knowledge Seeker of Zephyria after all." Thanara replied back.
Changing the topic, Omnithara said. "Alright then, Lunaria. You can deal with him alone, but do not expect me to just watch if I felt like you need help."
Lunaria nodded slightly, replying back with a polite tone. "Alright, I understand that you are worried of my safety considering Vaelthar's potential."
Lunaria's right hand shined slightly. About to remove the mirrors to let Vaelthar and Azarine out. However, she did not expected what happened next.
Crack!
The mirrors of the cube started to crack suddenly before shattering all of a sudden completely. Causing a burst of glass shards launching out in all direction. Grazing Seraphine's arm. Thanara's hair. Omnithara's leg. Lunaria, however, did not get a scratch as the shard just shattered upon getting into contact with her.
Azarine who was inside the cube gets launched out of it suddenly due to the explosion right at Seraphine. As she caught him in her hold. His body bloody, some shards stabbed into his body as well. His hair band opened, causing his hair cover his face slightly.
Panicked slightly at the injuries and wounds of her best friend. Seraphine screamed in terror. "Aza!? What happened inside there with you and Vaelthar!?"
Before she could ask anymore question. A large piece of shard hits straight into her right arm. Stabbing into her shoulder, as she gasped slightly in pain. "Agh!"
Azarine, still slightly conscious just gazed slightly at the direction of the smoke where the explosion occurred. As he spoke with a tired weak tone, from the injury. "That bastard." Azarine said, remembering what happened inside.
Because there was no space or time at all inside the cube. Vaelthar's power inside the cube rised faster for the world outside the cube because there was no space time at all in there anymore.
Inside, his power, started to grow rapidly, until it was at the point. He could shatter the entire cube just by powering up. Azarine who was inside it also came in contact with the explosion. Which resulted in heavy injuries far worse than he would had expected.
Azarine still in Seraphine's hold, cough slight blood. His hair messy, cloths half torned. A crack in one of his horn.
Omnithara snapped his gaze at the two. "Stay out right now! You two are heavily injured!" He yelled, returning his gaze back at the smoke, starting to fade slowly as Vaelthar emerged out of it.
Vaelthar's form, however, was slightly different than earlier. His wings were larger. His horn like protrusions now a bit larger, his core whiter and his figure appeared more gloomy like grey. The yellowish lines of his figure now black.
Vaelthar now even stronger than earlier, unleashed more of his aura and started to cause shattered space time fabrics in the sky to appear again. However, he was less talking now and more straightforward as he launched a ray of red lightning energy at Omnithara. The speed a lot faster than before.
Omnithara, however, quick with reflexes flicked it off. He then, summoned a shield like sphere around Azarine, ensuring the wounded do not get involved currently.
Just as he was about to attack, Lunaria called him out. Her voice authorative. "Lord Dreadspire. I suppose I had mentioned that I plan to deal with Vaelthar myself." She reminded. Omnithara, understanding well he couldn't stop her just sighed slightly. "I'll wait then."
Lunaria launched herself straight at Vaelthar piercing her arm right through his core the moment she saw the sigh of acceptance from Omnithara. Vaelthar, however, did not flinched at all. Instead, he punched right at her face to push her off but she did not got a single scratch even from the point blank punch.
Something is suspicious. Lunaria thought, finding Vaelthar's slow movements strange.
Instead of attacking again. She distanced herself back. Thanara, confused yet curious, questioned her. "Something wrong, Luna?"
"Yes... His reactions are slower aren't they?..."
Omnithara hearing that, looked at Vaelthar and activated his God Essence, Vision of Eternity to see what was wrong.
A God Essence had a total of five different abilities per Essence. Each ability was related to the Main ability in their own way in their own way. Only the 'Secondary ability'and 'Extra talent' can be found common among other GodEssences and can be gain as a singular ability as a UniqueEssences.
The five abilities of Vision of Eternity.
• Main ability 'Null': An ability that allowed the summons related to the void through the eye. Omnithara's black holes was through this ability.
• The Talent 'Omnivision': A passive that allows permanent vision to every single place. There is not a single corner that avoids this unless in a seperate dimensions from its user.
•Secondary ability 'Thoughtprogression': An ability that makes the speed of thoughts faster the stronger the soul.
•Extra talent 'Throughitall': An ability that allowed to see into the future by a specific amount of time.
• Ultimate move 'Eye of Oblivion': An ability that summons a giant eye that radiated the energy of Nihilism, that could end anything with complete accuracy near death bed.
Omnithara looked at Vaelthar through the 'Extra Talent' of 'Vision of Eternity.' His eyes widened the moment he saw what was going to happen. "Move down!" He yelled.
Everyone moved down as a huge blast of Annihilation energy barely grazed their heads. Far stronger than the previous 'Energy of Annihilation' used earlier. Thanara looked back and was horrified to see the destruction behind.
The Sky was cracking as if it was about to fall down. Lunaria immediately threw a Mirror at the crack sealing it tight and merged it with the crack to stop it.
Lunaria Caelran, Mirror of Eternity.
•Main ability 'Shield': An ability that allows the summon and manipulation of mirrors. The stronger the will the better the defensive nature of the mirrors.
•The Talent 'Reflection': An ability that allowed the user to make the mirrors reflect different moments of someone through different timelines. This ability was more advantageous against someone who do not understand the consequences of their actions.
•Secondary ability 'Merge': An ability that allowed merging of the physical object pf the Essence with the environment. This ability was just used right now to seal the crack.
•Extra Talent 'Illusion': An ability that allowed the physical manifestation of the illusions of anything. The stronger the soul the more it passes through mental resistance.
•Ultimate move 'Shatter': An ability that traps one in a small sized cube that can be held in the palm that wipes the totality of someone's entire existence.
Just as she was about to turn back towards Vaelthar again he was already in front of her face. Ready with his fist clenched in annihilation energy. It was so fast that no one could react in time. The punch connected straight at Lunaria's chest. The sheer impact of the Annihilation energy caused an explosion. Any normal catastrophe would had died just from the impact of that.
The moment the smoke faded. Omnithara immediately looked at there to see if Lunaria was alright. But what he saw caused him to pause for a moment before he let out a sigh and had a faint smile. "I suppose I was getting too worried."
The reveal from the smoke was a bit baffling. Vaelthar's hand that had connected at Lunaria's chest. Was twisted and broken from the impact. While Lunaria remained completely fine without a single sign of injury. Vaelthar's eyes were a bit wide at the sight until Lunaria mentioned the truth about her indestructible body. "I have done a lot of things to my body to make it as durable as possible, Vaelthar."
"And the reason I am still alive despite it is because..."
"I am a willorion. The evolved species of human when they become immortal."
