Chapter 23 - Aelia

Out of all the places in the world, romantic or not, I never expected him to pull up in a club's car park. "Are you being serious right now?" I asked as he opened the door for me. He only winked at me, pulled me towards him by my waist and then pecked my lips. Taking hold of my hand, he walked into the club. "Welcome, Mr. Jackson." One of the security guards bowed. "You're known here?" I asked, surprised. "More like I own it, buttercup." He replied. I decided to keep quiet until we had gotten to our destination, what seemed like the vip section.

The vip section was a dark room and the only source of light was from a bulb that illuminated a purple light. Dark curtains covered all the walls and the room was well conditioned. It had a couch that faced a small stage with a pole in the middle. I couldn't help but feel jealous at the thought of him coming to watch strippers here. "You own a club and you didn't tell me." I huffed. What else was he keeping from me? Cyrus stared at me for a while and revealed, "I am friends with Lorenzo de Marotti, the Don of the Italian Mafia, Cecchino, Italian name for Sniper. We've been friends since high school when I convinced our principal from expelling him for fighting a teacher. He gave me this club on my twenty fourth birthday. He also got me a private jet on my twentieth birthday. He is always busy so we haven't been seeing each other in while now. We only make calls and text each other."

Cyrus has a friend? Why am I even surprised? He also went to school. He definitely interacted with people. "You never brought him home." I said. Cyrus replied, "I never thought he would want to come." He shrugged. Was this man being serious? Which friend wouldn't want to see where his friend stayed? "Plus he's gay and he has always liked Xavier." Cyrus revealed. What? What was so nice about Xavier that people liked him? I rolled my eyes. Even if I was dying, I would never admit that Xavier was handsome. "So you're saying that another reason why he never visited was because of Xavier?" I asked, wanting to understand this mysterious man named Lorenzo. Cyrus nodded in a reply.

A comfortable silence enveloped us for a while before one of my favorite songs came up. Envolver by Anitta. Squealing, I stood up and twirled around, dancing to the music. Cyrus stared at me unblinking. Getting to the pole, I danced. A waiter entered with a bottle of wine and two glass cups. "If you want to keep your eyes, I will advise you leave right now." Cyrus growled. The waiter scurried off. Chuckling, I twirled and moved to the rhythm of the song. I was so engrossed in dancing, I didn't realize when Cyrus's veiny hand found my throat. I looked up, my eyes locking with his dark ones. Getting hold of his tie, I pulled him closer and smirked as his hand moved from my throat, curving to my lower back, sending pleasurable shivers up my spine. "You never told me you could also dance with the pole, buttercup."

"I learnt it for my husband." I replied. His eyes glowed in excitement. "For me?" He asked. Teasing him, I grinded against his hardness and shook my head,"you were my brother back then." I spoke. With eyes burning with rage, he twirled me around and captured my lips in a punishing kiss, as if trying to tell me that he was the only man I could marry, brother or not. I kissed back with equal passion. "You will be the death of me, buttercup." He whispered then picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist and taking me to the couch.

He sat down and made me straddle him, our lips never parting. I breathed out and stood up. Taking his hands in mine, I pulled him out of the VIP section to the crowd. Just as we stepped out, the heat of the dance floor embraced us while a new song came up, Mia by Drake ft. Bad Bunny. Cheering, I pulled him into the crowd and began dancing. Cyrus sucked at dancing but that didn't stop him from grabbing me by my hips and moving us to the rhythm of the song. He was a fast learner enough to register the beat of the song quickly and move gracefully to it. We were having the time of our lives as we twirled around and danced to the many Latino and Jamaican songs that were played. Just as Shivers by Ed Sheeran came up, he pulled me closer to dance sensually with him. We stared at each other, smiling. Kissing me softly as the song came to an end, he pulled away and smirked at me.

"Times up, buttercup. You've got school tomorrow." He spoke. I glared at him. Seriously? Chuckling, he suddenly picked me up and walked into the VIP section to get my purse and walk out of club. "You can't stay annoyed with me forever, baby girl. You do remember that you owe me, don't you? We have to settle your payment very soon." He teased. I frowned. When did I owe him something? "How do I owe you?" I asked. He looked at me. "We made a deal before you could go to your first party." He simply replied. That was when I remembered the deal we had made in his study. He still remembered that?

I sighed. Keeping his right hand on my thigh, he drove with his left hand. Enjoying the comfortable silence, I played with his hand, tracing the veins and comparing the size of his hand with mine. When he held my hand, squeezing gently, my soft small hand disappeared in his. Without looking away from the road, he suddenly commented, "beige looks good on you." I looked at my nails. I had fixed and painted them while preparing for our date. Kissing the back of my hand, he continued driving back home.

When we got home, we parted ways. Entering my room, I found Clarissa scowling at the door, as if she had been waiting to greet me with that expression. "Clarissa." I whispered. I watched as her eyes softened and she got out of my bed. She ran and hugged me. "I miss you." She cried. She didn't wait for me to hug her back. She pulled away and slapped me. Ow! "Don't you ever keep secrets from me again, you bitch!" She yelled at me. Sighing, I hugged her. "Thank you for forgiving me but you also deserve a slap for practically calling me a 'whore' and disgusting." I glared at her. "I'm so sorry, Aelia. I was so hurt at the time." She pulled away and replied. Shaking my head, I pulled her into my embrace again. Finally, we were back together.
