With that, Sebastian stormed upstairs to change.
Gloria stood there, unsure of what to do, watching Sebastian leave and then looking down at her shaking arm. She didn't know what was wrong; her arm just wouldn't stop trembling!
"What are you standing there for?
Didn't you hear Mr. Windsor?" Mira snapped, glaring at her.
Gloria snapped out of it. "I didn't mean to."
Mira glared at her. "If you did it on purpose, you wouldn't be allowed to stay in the Windsor Villa! Mr. Windsor will be back down for breakfast soon.
Go sweep the yard and stay out of sight!"
Mira handed her a broom and dismissed her.
Gloria tightened her grip on the broom, said nothing, and went outside to sweep.
When Sebastian came back downstairs, Gloria was nowhere to be seen. He didn't ask about her, ate a little, and then left.
In the yard, Gloria stood in a corner, watching Sebastian leave. The tension in her body finally eased. After working all night while sick, she was exhausted.
