Chapter 25 - chaos with love

Sky's POV

The morning started like every other, except it didn't.

Because apparently the universe had conspired against me.

The first red flag? Walking into the classroom and hearing someone scream:

"WOOOOOH SKY IS GROWING UP!!!"

The second red flag? Realizing it was my bestie Charlie, standing on top of a chair, pointing at me like I was some zoo exhibit. His voice echoed through the entire Section A classroom, and within seconds, the others joined in like a pack of hyenas.

"SKY'S BLUSHINGGGG!" Marco howled.

"She probably got a secret boyfriend!!" Nin squealed, bouncing like the literal gremlin she was.

"Secret boyfriend?!" Kika gasped dramatically, clutching her chest like a telenovela star. "Girl, don't tell me it's Skiez! Or Wind! Or BOTH!"

My face? On fire.

"Shut up! It's literally seven in the morning, can you people NOT—" I tried to protest, but of course, Section A didn't understand the concept of peace.

Leaf added fuel to the fire. "Nah, nah, nah, it's gotta be Wind. Look at him, already leaning on her desk like he owns it!"

And of course — when I turned, there he was.

Wind.

Leaning casually against my desk, sleeves rolled up, smirk plastered on his stupidly perfect face, like he was straight out of some romance drama. His hair fell a little over his eyes, his tie hung loose, and his voice dropped low just for me:

"Morning, baby girl."

I choked. "EXCUSE ME—?!"

"Confirmed!" Riri squealed, practically throwing confetti in the air. "Sindy is REAL! Sky and Wind are canon!!"

"NO WE ARE NOT—"

Wind bent lower, his breath brushing against my ear. "You look cute when you deny it, sweetheart."

Dead. I was dead. Bury me in the school garden, please.

The class? Exploded.

"OOOH, HE'S USING PET NAMES!"

"WOOHOOO SKY IS GROWING UP!!"

"DIRTY MINDS ASSEMBLE!"

And then came the dirtiest voices of Section A.

Blessing: "What if they kissed in the janitor's closet—"

Areo: "Nah bro, Wind would pin her to the BED!"

Cero: "BED?! More like the teacher's desk!"

Heaven: "The chalkboard would break!"

Jason: "THE WHOLE SCHOOL WOULD SHAKEEEE!"

Cue absolute chaos. People slapping desks, screaming, fake fainting, and Charlie literally rolling on the floor laughing.

I wanted to evaporate. "YOU GUYS ARE—INSANE!"

And just when I thought it couldn't get worse, Skiez — yes, Skiez — shot Wind a look sharp enough to kill. He didn't say anything, just sat back with his arms crossed, eyes narrowed, jaw tight.

But I saw it.

The quiet storm.

And oh, of course Perry had to enter too, the complete opposite of Wind. He approached with that calm, gentlemanly air, offering me his seat since mine was currently occupied by the flirting menace.

"Sky," Perry said gently, ignoring the chaos, "do you want me to ask Wind to move? You don't look comfortable."

My heart? Split into three.

Wind smirking.

Skiez glaring.

Perry offering kindness.

And Section A? Chanting like drunk football fans.

"KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS!"

---

Fast-forward to break time.

I thought maybe the embarrassment would die down, but no. Section A lived for chaos. Every time I so much as breathed near a boy, someone screamed.

Example? When Skiez passed me a pen, Kika and Nin shrieked:

"SKIY MOMENT!!! WOOOH!"

When Perry opened the door for me, Riri screamed:

"SINDY AND PERRY? A LOVE TRIANGLE??"

And when Wind casually stole my juice box and sipped it in front of me—

the class lost their souls.

"Indirect kiss! INDIRECT KISS!"

"WIND IS CLAIMING HER!"

"SKY YOU'RE SO INNOCENT OMG!"

Me? On the verge of transferring schools.

---

Lunch time.

I thought maybe I'd get some peace in the cafeteria, but no. Of course not. Section A had followed me like hungry wolves.

I sat with Charlie, trying to ignore Wind who was now sitting too close, Skiez glaring at him from across the table, and Perry politely making sure I ate my food.

"Sky, eat more," Perry said, gently sliding his untouched chicken onto my plate. "You've been skipping meals lately. It's not healthy."

Wind immediately snorted. "Tch. What are you, her dad? Relax, gentleman. She'll eat if she wants to. And she'll eat what I feed her."

And before I could stop him — Wind picked up his spoon, scooped rice, and literally put it in front of my mouth.

"Say 'ah,' baby girl."

The cafeteria? Silent for 0.5 seconds.

And then—

"WOOOOOOOOH! SKY IS GROWING UP!"

"DIRTY MINDS, ASSEMBLE!"

"HE'S FEEDING HER LIKE A WIFE!"

I wanted the ground to swallow me. "I—NO—WIND—STOP—"

But he just smirked wider. "C'mon. Don't make me force you."

And the worst part? My stupid mouth actually opened.

I ate it.

Section A? Lost their MINDS.

Charlie stood on the table, screaming: "MARRIAGE! WHEN'S THE WEDDING?!"

Nin fake cried: "My baby Sky is leaving me for MEN!"

Kika yelled: "SKIY NATION WILL NEVER DIE, I SWEAR!"

Meanwhile, Skiez looked two seconds away from snapping his chopsticks in half, and Perry… oh God, Perry just looked at me with soft, pained eyes.

Like he wanted to be the one sitting that close. The one feeding me. The one who had the right.

And my heart hurt.

---

Afternoon classes.

By then, I was so done. But Section A? Still chaotic. Every whisper between me and Wind = screams. Every glance from Skiez = shipping wars. Every smile from Perry = sighs and gasps.

At one point, BB yelled:

"Sky is literally living in a K-drama love square!"

And honestly? She wasn't wrong.

Wind = the shameless flirt.

Skiez = the quiet storm.

Perry = the gentle knight.

Me = the idiot stuck in the middle.

---

Final bell.

The day ended with one last dramatic scene.

As I packed my bag, Wind leaned down, trapping me against the desk, eyes glinting.

"So, Sky," he whispered, "gonna dream of me tonight?"

I gawked. "WHAT—NO—"

"Too bad," he smirked. "I'll be in them anyway."

Section A? Exploded.

"WOOOOOH!"

"HE'S TOO SMOOTH!"

"MY EARS! THEY'RE BURNING!"

"SKY IS GROWING UP!!!"

And over the chaos, I caught Perry's soft gaze, Skiez's clenched jaw, and Charlie's laughter echoing like a siren.

And me?

I was just… Sky.

Stuck in the middle of a storm, trying not to drown.

But maybe… a part of me didn't mind the chaos.

Skiez's POV

The morning started like every other… until Sky walked in.

And then nothing felt normal anymore.

I don't even know why I noticed it first — maybe it was the way she clutched her bag tighter, or the way her cheeks flushed the moment Charlie stood on the chair screaming her name.

"WOOOOOH SKY IS GROWING UP!!"

The class roared with laughter, whistles, and those idiotic "dirty-minded" jokes Section A thrived on.

I didn't join them.

I didn't laugh.

I just… watched her.

Her eyes widened, her lips parted like she was about to argue back, but the redness climbing her neck gave her away. She was embarrassed. Cornered.

And then I saw him.

Wind.

Leaning against her desk, smirk plastered on his face, acting like she belonged to him.

"Morning, baby girl."

The entire classroom howled.

My fist clenched under the desk.

Of course, Sky panicked, stuttering like she always did when Wind threw those shameless lines at her. "E-Excuse me—?!"

Everyone screamed.

They called her his girlfriend. They made jokes about closets, beds, desks — the kind of things I hated hearing her name in.

I wanted to shut them up.

I wanted to drag her out of that circle of noise and keep her where no one could look at her that way.

But I didn't.

I just sat there, arms crossed, jaw tight, my glare fixed on Wind.

And when his eyes flicked toward me, like he knew I was watching, his smirk grew sharper.

It was a challenge.

And he knew I'd never take it.

---

Break time.

I watched her again.

Every move. Every laugh. Every nervous glance she gave whenever the class roared with another joke.

When she dropped her pen, I picked it up and slid it across her desk quietly.

No words.

Just the smallest action.

But the second my hand brushed hers, Kika and Nin screamed like we had kissed in the middle of the room.

"SKIY MOMENTTT!!"

"LOOK AT HIM PASSING HER A PEN! TRUE LOVE!"

I wanted to roll my eyes.

I wanted to tell them to shut the hell up.

But Sky? She just ducked her head, muttering thanks so quietly I almost didn't hear it.

And that was enough for me.

I didn't need to feed her like Wind did.

I didn't need to perform for the class.

I just wanted her to be okay.

---

Lunch.

And that's when it got worse.

I sat across from her, my tray untouched, because all I could focus on was Wind — sitting so close his arm brushed hers every time he moved.

And then Perry.

Sliding his food onto her plate like some kind of knight, voice soft and polite. "Sky, eat more. You've been skipping meals lately."

I hated to admit it, but… at least Perry was genuine.

He wasn't loud like Wind. He wasn't playing to the crowd.

But Wind — Wind didn't let it slide.

He scoffed. "What are you, her dad? Relax. She'll eat what I feed her."

And then he did it.

He scooped food.

Held the spoon in front of her.

And told her, "Say ah, baby girl."

The cafeteria? Exploded.

I couldn't move.

I couldn't breathe.

Because she actually opened her mouth.

She ate it.

Everyone screamed, the sound bouncing off the walls.

Marriage jokes. Honeymoon jokes. Dirty, ugly things that made my blood boil.

And Sky?

Her face burned.

But she didn't push him away.

I gripped my chopsticks so tightly they almost broke.

---

Afternoon classes.

Every time she laughed at Wind's comments, I felt it.

Every time Perry leaned closer to check on her, I noticed.

And every time she avoided looking at me, I wondered if she knew.

If she knew that I'd been watching her all day.

That I hated the way Wind touched her so casually.

That I hated the way Section A screamed her name like she was a joke.

That I hated the way my chest ached when she smiled at anyone else.

But I couldn't say it.

I couldn't be Wind — bold, shameless, fearless.

All I could do was sit in silence, glaring at the back of Wind's head, wishing he'd disappear.

---

Final bell.

And then the day ended in chaos.

I was packing my bag when I saw it — Wind leaning down, trapping Sky against her desk, his voice dropping low enough that I couldn't hear the words, but I didn't need to.

The way her eyes widened.

The way the class erupted.

The way he smirked when she shoved at him.

I wanted to move.

To pull him off her.

To tell the entire class to shut their filthy mouths.

But I didn't.

I sat there, my hands trembling under the desk, my chest heavy.

Because I wasn't Wind.

I wasn't Perry.

I was just Skiez.

The storm no one saw coming.

And Sky?

She was in the middle of it all — glowing, laughing, blushing — and I was terrified she'd never notice the way I felt.

---

Perry's POV

When I first stepped into Section A that morning, I knew the day was going to be loud.

Section A was always loud.

Jokes flying, shoes thudding against desks, Nin shouting something random in the back while Marco pretended to sleep with his head against the chalkboard.

But I didn't expect her to be the center of it all.

Sky.

The moment she walked in, late by only a few seconds, Charlie was already standing on a chair, yelling at the top of his lungs.

"WOOOOOO SKY IS GROWING UP!!!"

The whole class roared.

Whistles. Cheers. Dirty jokes.

I hated it.

Because she froze.

Clutching her bag tighter, face turning pink as if she was suddenly trapped under a hundred spotlights.

And then Wind — of course it had to be him — leaned across her desk and murmured something loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Morning, baby girl."

Laughter exploded.

Someone banged the desk.

Riri screamed, "SINDY IS REAL!!!"

And I…

I just sat there.

Watching her shrink into herself, lips parting like she didn't know whether to laugh, argue, or cry.

I wanted to step in.

I wanted to tell everyone to stop.

But in Section A, kindness was just fuel for chaos.

So I swallowed my words.

And watched.

---

First Period.

She sat two rows ahead of me.

I caught glimpses — the way she scribbled notes quickly, the way she bit her pen when she was confused, the way her hair fell across her cheek when she tilted her head.

Beautiful.

She was beautiful in ways no one else seemed to notice — not Wind with his cocky lines, not Skiez with his cold stares.

But then it happened.

She dropped her pen.

And Skiez, without a word, picked it up and slid it onto her desk.

Her fingers brushed his.

Her face turned pink.

The girls in class screamed.

"SKIY MOMENT!!"

I looked away.

Because my chest… hurt.

---

Break time.

I couldn't stop watching her.

She laughed when Nin tripped over his shoelaces, she teased Ellie about her handwriting, she leaned her chin on her hand and looked out the window like her thoughts were far away.

And all I wanted… was to sit beside her.

To ask her what she was thinking.

To be the reason she smiled, not the audience to it.

But before I could move, Wind was already there — sliding into her space like he owned it.

The class went wild again.

She stammered, tried to push him away, but she didn't really push.

She never pushed hard enough.

And Skiez?

He just sat there, jaw tight, staring daggers into Wind's back.

I wanted to tell both of them to back off.

But what right did I have?

---

Lunch.

That was when I couldn't hold back anymore.

She sat between Wind and Kika, laughing nervously at the chaos around her, but I saw the untouched food on her plate.

The same untouched food I'd been seeing for days.

I slid my tray closer and gently placed some food on her plate.

Her eyes flicked to mine, wide, surprised.

"You need to eat, Sky," I said softly. "You've been skipping meals lately."

Her lips parted.

For a second, she just stared at me.

And then she whispered, "Thank you."

My heart…

It wasn't beating normally anymore.

But then Wind scoffed.

"What are you, her dad? Relax. She'll eat what I feed her."

And before I could even breathe, he lifted a spoon, scooped food, and held it in front of her lips.

"Say ah, baby girl."

The cafeteria exploded.

Everyone screamed.

Someone banged on the tables.

Even the teachers outside must've heard the noise.

And Sky?

Sky — my Sky — actually opened her mouth.

She ate it.

I felt my chest collapse.

Not because she wanted it.

But because she didn't know how to say no.

Because Wind's confidence bulldozed over her hesitation.

Because the entire class was watching.

I wanted to pull her away.

To tell her she didn't owe anyone a show.

But I sat there, silent, my food turning to ash in my mouth.

---

Afternoon Classes.

It was torture.

Wind teased her every chance he got.

Skiez stared at her like he was swallowing every word she said.

And Sky, caught in between, laughed awkwardly, blushed, hid her face behind her hands.

I knew she didn't mean to lead anyone on.

She was just… Sky.

Soft. Gentle. Always trying not to hurt anyone.

And maybe that was why it hurt so much.

Because she didn't notice me.

Because she never noticed me.

---

Final Bell.

The day should've ended quietly.

But nothing in Section A was quiet.

I was packing my bag when I saw it — Wind leaning over her, trapping her against her desk.

His voice low, his smirk sharp.

Her eyes wide, her breath catching in her throat.

The entire class screamed again.

Dirty jokes. Whistles. Clapping.

And Sky, flustered, pushed at him weakly, her face redder than ever.

I gripped the strap of my bag so tightly my knuckles turned white.

Because I wanted to be the one standing there.

Not trapping her. Not embarrassing her.

Protecting her.

But I didn't move.

Because I wasn't Wind.

I wasn't Skiez.

I was just Perry.

The boy who loved her quietly.

The boy who was always too late.

---

Wind's POV

From the second Sky walked into class that morning, I knew it was my day.

She had that messy little rush-in look, hair a little out of place, cheeks pink from running, lips parted like she was out of breath.

God.

How could I not make the whole class lose their minds?

I leaned back in my chair, loud enough for everyone to hear, and said,

"Morning, baby girl."

The reaction?

Perfect.

The room exploded.

Charlie almost fell off his desk screaming.

Riri jumped up and down like she'd just witnessed a wedding.

Even Leaf, who pretended to be the calm one, cracked up.

And Sky?

She froze.

Her face turned redder than the chalk dust on Marco's nose.

I grinned.

Hook, line, and sinker.

---

First Period.

I barely paid attention.

Why would I?

I was too busy watching her fidget with her pen, biting her lip, scribbling notes like she was trying to drown out the fact that everyone was still whispering "baby girl" under their breaths.

And then it happened.

Her pen dropped.

Before I could move, Skiez picked it up and slid it onto her desk.

Their fingers brushed.

Her cheeks turned pink.

The class screamed.

I clenched my jaw.

Of course Skiez had to play the silent knight routine.

Mr. Brooding over here.

He thought one pen-returning moment could beat me?

Pathetic.

---

Break time.

That's when I went in for kill number two.

She was laughing with Ellie about some dumb doodle when I slipped into the seat right beside her, close enough that her arm brushed mine.

"Miss me, baby girl?" I smirked.

She blinked. "W-Wind—don't—"

"Don't what?" I leaned closer. "Don't make your heart race?"

The class lost it.

Chairs screeched.

Kika actually screamed, "SINDY IS TOO REAL!!!"

And Sky?

She buried her face in her hands, trying not to laugh, trying not to push me away too hard.

Which only made me want to push harder.

---

Lunch.

That was when Perry made his move.

I noticed it immediately — the way he placed food on her plate, his voice soft like he was offering her a prayer.

"You need to eat, Sky," he said.

I almost rolled my eyes.

Classic Perry.

Gentleman act, quiet devotion, like he was auditioning for the role of "perfect boyfriend."

And Sky?

She actually whispered, "Thank you."

My jaw tightened.

Not because I was jealous.

No.

Okay, maybe because I was jealous.

So I did what I do best.

I stole the spotlight.

Scooping up food, I held the spoon right at her lips.

"Say ah, baby girl."

The cafeteria exploded.

People whistled, screamed, clapped like it was the wedding of the century.

And Sky?

She hesitated.

But then… she opened her mouth.

She actually ate it.

My smirk nearly cracked my face in half.

Victory.

Pure, sweet victory.

I winked at Perry across the table.

He looked like he wanted to stab me with his fork.

---

Afternoon Classes.

I was on fire.

Every time she spoke, I leaned in.

Every time she dropped something, I picked it up before Skiez could.

Every time the teacher called on her, I whispered answers just loud enough to make her stutter.

She was flustered from start to finish.

Her cheeks stayed pink all day.

And every time the class screamed or teased her, I felt it — that rush of pride.

Because I was the one making her blush.

Not Skiez.

Not Perry.

Me.

---

Final Bell.

The moment everyone had been waiting for.

As she packed her bag, I leaned over, trapping her against the desk with my arm.

Her eyes went wide, lips parting, breath quickening.

I smirked.

"Careful, Sky. Look at you, trembling just 'cause I'm close."

The class?

They went insane.

Screaming, stomping, chanting things that would probably get us suspended if the teachers heard.

She shoved at me, weak but flustered, face redder than fire.

And me?

I leaned in just enough so only she could hear.

"Relax, baby girl. I'll let you go… this time."

Her eyes darted away.

Her heartbeat practically echoed in the silence between us.

And I knew it.

She was mine.

Even if she didn't know it yet.
