Chapter 93 - Chapter 94 The 4th Start

Fastest update of "Clark in the Marvel Universe"!

"Clark, are you alright?" Diana noticed something was wrong and walked over, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I…" Clark hadn't even finished his sentence when he felt the Tesseract energy inside him suddenly surge to life.

Normally, Clark had almost zero magic resistance, and the energy-boost suit that could enhance that resistance had yet to recover from the continuous spatial jumps.

So now, facing the chaotic energy of the Tesseract, Clark had no defense at all.

Just then, the uncontained Tesseract energy inside him seemed to connect to something—and its quantity suddenly exploded. A flash of light erupted, and Clark and Diana vanished from Ego's ship.

"Mercy…?"

Ego blinked, completely unaware of what had just happened. But then he looked toward the ship that had been heading for Earth, and a strange question popped into his mind.

"Should I not be going to Earth?"

A moment later, the ship stopped and exited the nearest cosmic gate. "Yeah, forget it—hahaha!"

Back on Earth…

Loki, having shapeshifted into Erik Selvig, was just about to stop Nick Fury, who was trying to sneak away with the Tesseract.

"Could you put that Cube down? I still need it!" Loki said casually.

Before Fury could respond, the Tesseract suddenly lit up in his hands. With a BANG!, a shockwave blasted Fury's arm, sending the Cube flying from his grasp.

Now suspended in mid-air, the Tesseract began to pulse with waves of energy.

"Are there… more people coming?" Hawkeye asked, seeing the Cube act like a living creature for the third time. He glanced at Loki for answers.

"No… well… maybe," Loki replied uncertainly. He thought he had come alone—but couldn't rule out that Thanos had sent others.

After all, if Thanos could hand him a single scepter capable of controlling the Tesseract, he must have plenty of other tools at his disposal.

BOOM!

Another loud explosion echoed through the lab. Fury frowned, realizing if this kept up, the underground base could collapse.

This time, a new portal opened next to the Tesseract—but instead of the starfield they had seen with Loki's arrival, they saw a giant white brain floating in the void.

Then, the portal closed.

Clark and Diana reappeared in the exact same spot they had vanished from earlier.

Everyone froze, staring at the pair who had appeared out of nowhere.

By pure coincidence, the only four people still standing in the aftermath of the chaos—Loki, Hawkeye, Erik, and Fury—had all interacted with Clark before.

Clark looked around—Loki with his scepter facing Erik, Hawkeye nearby, and Nick Fury beside him. Then, instinctively, Clark reached up and caught the falling Tesseract, which had been knocked loose from the earlier surge.

The moment his fingers closed around it, Clark panicked for a second.

In Captain America: The First Avenger, touching the Cube bare-handed meant getting sucked away. Was he about to disappear again?

But then… nothing happened.

Maybe it was his superhuman body, or maybe it was because he already had Tesseract energy inside him—but the Cube did not react.

Realizing this, Clark breathed a sigh of relief. This was a good sign.

"Did I… miss something?"

Clark casually tossed the Tesseract into the air and asked the now-frozen Loki, who looked like he'd been turned to stone. From that scene alone, Clark immediately realized exactly what was happening.

Avengers 1.Nothing more, nothing less.

And that thought amused him.

It had been nearly a year since he last watched Avengers 30, and when he rewatched the original Avengers, he remembered many moments where he wished "B" could be dropped into the movie. Back then it was only imagination.

But now… he really had dropped B into Avengers 1.

"I swear, I'm just passing through. Would you believe me?" Clark smiled.

Even with the Mind Stone's influence, Loki was starting to think maybe he should have just stayed dead.

He had fought Clark before—using the Destroyer, no less—and even that had been defeated. Now, facing Clark himself with nothing but a borrowed scepter?

Loki didn't believe the scepter gave him more power than the Destroyer.

"Thor misses you dearly," Clark said, walking toward Loki with the Tesseract in hand. "I think if I brought you to him, he'd be very happy. Don't you agree?"

Clark kept the Tesseract with him on purpose—he didn't trust Loki not to try something crazy again. As long as it was in his hands, Loki wouldn't be able to misuse it.

"Don't you dare mention him to me!" Loki shouted, his already unstable emotions exploding.

Fueled by the Mind Stone's dark influence, he raised his scepter—and the gem on top flashed brightly.

Even Clark winced at the light, averting his eyes. But despite the momentary hesitation, he gripped the Tesseract tightly and charged in the direction where Loki had been standing.

Unfortunately, in that brief moment of pause, Loki had vanished—along with Hawkeye and Erik.

Clark stood still, eyes shut, listening closely to the sounds around him.

No trace. Nothing.

"Coulson," Fury said calmly, "contact Thor in New Mexico. See how much he knows about his brother's plans. And get ready—we're going to war."

Fury knew Loki better than most. From the reports and classified New Mexico files, they already knew Loki had betrayed his family and tried to kill Thor.

And now, after what he'd just said, it was clear: Loki intended to rule Earth.

Fury didn't know how Loki planned to do it, but he wasn't naive enough to think this was just idle talk. If a god said he was going to take over the planet, you took it seriously.

The good news? They might have a god of their own on their side. And maybe—even if unofficially—they had the beginnings of the Avengers.

Whether or not it was fully formed yet, this time… Fury felt it was for real.

"Clark," Fury added, "mind giving the Cube back to us first?"

Because before the war started, retrieving the Tesseract was priority number one.
