Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: The Sharingan and the Kill

Just as the male angel prepared to give chase,

A figure hurtled toward him.

In that moment, he was completely off guard.

The strike came straight for his head.

But,

The male angel was battle-hardened.

On pure reflex, he twisted ever so slightly to the side.

Clang!

The blade missed his skull and instead crashed hard against his helmet.

Though the helmet took the brunt of the impact,

He was still knocked backward by the sheer force of the blow.

Keisha clicked her tongue in frustration.

That strike had been nearly perfect.

But it missed the mark.

There was no time to follow up.

Instead, she flew straight toward her mother.

"Mom! Are you alright?" Keisha cried, worry written all over her face.

Her mother's eyes widened in panic when she saw her,

"Keisha, why did you come? Get out of here, now!"

But Keisha shook her head, her voice firm.

"If you and Dad aren't leaving, then I'm not going either."

Her mother opened her mouth to argue,

, but at that very moment, the male angel surged forward again, sword raised high.

He slashed straight at Keisha.

Her mother leapt between them, blade meeting blade with a metallic crash.

"A little girl? Seriously?"

The male angel's voice dripped with venom.

Moments ago, he had nearly been killed by her strike.

Even though Hua Ye's orders were to capture female angels alive,

His rage overpowered his reason.

That girl had almost taken his life.

He'd just… conveniently forget to mention her later.

With that murderous thought in mind,

He attacked again, this time going straight for Keisha and her mother.

But his blade now aimed squarely at Keisha.

And he was holding nothing back.

Every swing was intended to kill.

But,

What happened next left him stunned.

That little girl,

She was stronger than her mother.

Her combat experience was clearly lacking…

But her raw power? It exceeded expectations.

Still, the male angel didn't panic.

He trusted in his own strength.

He was confident he could crush both of them.

Sure enough, within minutes of renewed battle,

He regained control.

Keisha, after all, was in her first real fight.

As she realized they were being overpowered,

Her breathing turned shallow, panic creeping in.

What do I do?

What do I do?!

Should she call for help through the chat group?

Ask Master Carl for aid?

He had promised to help if she needed it.

She was certain he'd come if she called him now.

But…

It didn't sit right with her.

This angel wasn't invincible.

The fact that he couldn't quickly defeat her or her mother proved it.

The difference in power between them…

Wasn't insurmountable.

Did she really need to rely on Carl for this?

Her father had said,

That among the angels, there existed kings.

And if the Angel King was far stronger,

Shouldn't she save Carl's help for that kind of opponent?

This one,

This was a fight she felt she could win.

And besides,

This angel had hurt her mother.

Keisha clenched her jaw, fury simmering in her chest.

She wanted revenge.

If only she had Carl's power…

Then she could crush this guy easily.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up.

She remembered something.

Closing her eyes briefly,

Then opening them again,

Her irises now glowed a blood-red hue.

Within them, two black tomoe slowly rotated.

The Sharingan.

She had first awakened it back on the carriage when she saw the angels.

But worried her parents might ask about it, she had deactivated it.

Then the fighting started, and she forgot.

But now,

Why had she unlocked the Sharingan in the first place?

Wasn't it for moments exactly like this?

To look cool, and to get stronger?

This was the perfect time to use it.

Keisha's eyes flared red.

She dove back into battle.

And this time,

Everything changed.

She moved more freely, her motions sharper and more precise.

The Sharingan was incredible.

Her single-tomoe Sharingan gave her enhanced perception,

She could see through every movement the enemy made.

Before, her biggest flaw was inexperience.

Now, with foresight and clarity, she could anticipate attacks and counter them smoothly.

And this was still an early era of angel-kind.

No fourth-generation divine bodies.

No dimensional treasure vaults or overpowered weapons.

This was tens of thousands of years ago.

Their battles were raw,

Pure hand-to-hand, sword-to-sword.

Sure, their blades were made of rare materials,

But Keisha's sword wasn't ordinary either.

It was one of her father's personal blades.

Forged of an incredibly resilient metal.

In close combat, with her Sharingan fully activated,

Keisha held the upper hand.

And soon,

The tide began to turn.

Keisha's assault overwhelmed the male angel.

And her mother joined in to help.

"What the hell is happening?!"

The male angel's face twisted in disbelief.

Just moments ago, he was dominating both of them.

And now?

The entire battle had flipped on its head.

"If this keeps up, I'll lose. I'll die!"

"I have no choice… I'll use that move!"

He drew in a deep breath, summoning his strength.

He clashed hard with Keisha once more,

Then kicked off, retreating upward into the air.

His sword slid back into its sheath with a clean shk.

He lowered his stance, one hand on the hilt.

The blade did not move.

Maintaining that posture, he shot toward Keisha like a meteor.

Just as he reached her,

He unsheathed his sword in a single explosive motion, unleashing a devastating strike.

This was faster and deadlier than any attack he had used before.

Iaijutsu.

His most prized sword technique.

He could already see it,

The image of Keisha's head falling from her shoulders.

This move had never failed him before.

But,

Just as his blade was about to strike,

Keisha slipped past it effortlessly, her body moving like liquid.

And then,

To his absolute disbelief,

She lowered her own stance,

And mirrored his posture.

She launched her own Iaijutsu attack at him.

The male angel's instincts screamed.

He raised his sword to block,

CLANG!!

Her blade shattered his weapon in two.

Before he could react,

Her sword plunged into his shoulder, blood spraying into the air.

Her mother seized the moment.

With a finishing blow, she slashed across the angel's throat.

Together, they ended him.

"Huff… huff…"

Keisha gasped for breath, chest heaving.

She had done it.

She had beaten the male angel.

She hadn't delivered the killing blow,

Her mother had.

But the decisive damage,

It was all thanks to her.

Her heart raced.

This was her first true battle.

And someone had died because of her.

Why had she been able to copy the taijutsu technique?

It was the Sharingan.

With two tomoe now, her Sharingan could analyze her opponent's movements,

And replicate them perfectly.

She had copied his most powerful technique,

And used it to wound him.

In close-quarters combat,

The Sharingan was almost unbeatable.

Her mother stared at her in stunned silence.

"Keisha… you're this strong…?"

After all,

Female angels were usually physically weaker.

And Keisha had no combat experience.

Yet she had defeated that male angel.

Even if she had fought alone,

She could have still won.

It was…

Unbelievable.
