Looking out the window and realizing that this conversation was dragging on for too long, I stood up and began to undress.
?
Miach gave me a questioning look that quickly turned to understanding.
"Update?"
I nodded to him and turned my back.
"Almost forgot."
I didn't have to wait long, and I felt a drop of blood from Miach.
"Wait a little longer… There, done."
Turning to face him, he was already poking me in the face with this piece of paper.
"Good result, Kopii. Of course, it's a little worse than the first, but it's okay, you've only been an adventurer for eight months."
Looking down at the sheet:
Strength: C 678
Endurance: A 801
Dexterity: C 612
Agility: B 720
Magic Power: I 0
"Magic"

"Skills"
[Copy]: "You can be whoever you want, but not yourself."
It was a good difference from the past results, but for Kane it was not enough. For monsters like him, and with opportunities like his, they were all born with one thought in this world: to be on top of everything. and that thirst is a tool that helps monsters not to forget their purpose.
Kane continued to ponder over his growth. He didn't like the growth, he didn't like it very much. Kopii was able to level up in three months, and only thanks to him. And without him, he reached half the way in five months. It was too little. He expected to strengthen at least two characteristics to S-level. but endurance was the only maximum he had.
In simple words, it annoyed him a little. But it did not affect his face in any way.
"Yes, Miach, himself, very good growth… Very."
He uttered the last phrase somewhat more detachedly than Miach expected. But he did not comment on it in any way, because from Kane's side it looked like he was saddened by his growth. and as if he wasn't even hiding it behind a cheerful expression. It was very visible.
The one who was able to level up in three months, setting a new record, now in five months has reached only half of his previous path. Miach was sure that this was the reason why Kane was so confused. Already opening his mouth to support Kopii, to say that this growth is not a drop worse than before, Kopii overtook him.
"Well, okay, Miach-sama. But I need to go, I wanted to go to the dungeons today. I learned a new move, I want to try it on monsters."
"Okay, Kopii. Be careful… And, by the way, come for dinner at least, we are one family after all."
"I'll try."
Casting one last look at Miach before going out.
"Bye, Naaza."
"Bye, Kopii."
Leaving the blue pharmacy, I headed towards the Valion Tower. All my plans changed three hundred and sixty degrees, and all thanks to Miach, or rather, the results of my stats. It was too deplorable.
It didn't take him long to reach the Valion Tower.
First, fourth, eighth, thirteenth. Kane descended until he reached the thirteenth floor. Even if he wanted to level up, and thirst only responded to it, wanting more and more, but the mind was with him, so he logically understood that it was very dangerous to go further.
He fully assessed his capabilities: what he could do and what he couldn't. And according to the results of his assessment, he could reach the fifteenth floor and survive there. But there was one small exception - it was only during the day. At night, the dungeons became more dangerous.
Well, another exception was his equipment. More precisely, his absence: no normal armor, no sword, and most importantly - no recovery potions. He was not strong enough not to take damage. And the fact that he doesn't feel pain didn't play into his hands. After all, in the heat of battle, he could receive a minor wound and bleed out and just die. As they say, return to the embrace of his mother in the metaphorical sense of the word.
But that didn't mean he would give up so easily. Even if he was not going to go any lower, he was not going to leave. To quickly raise stats, you need to go beyond the limits, and the thirteenth floor will help him. He decided to stay here for the night and force his body to go beyond its limits.
Kane forgot about everything; he had only one goal - to become stronger. F#ck prostitutes, f#ck tasty food, f#ck everything that is not related to the level. After all, if he is weak, everything can be taken away from him at any moment, and no one will stop them. All those who are stronger than me can take all my fun at any second and use me as they want.
Like that Amazon. This thought only heated up Kane's anger even more. He started running around the thirteenth floor like crazy. He did not forget about magic stones - money is always needed. After all, money is also power and strength, just not as impressive as one's own abilities.
After all, the strength that I earned through hard work will always be with me. There is nothing that will take it away. And money can come and go. And individual strength will always come first.
That's how he spent the whole week. Every day he went down to the dungeons and pushed his body to the limit. And it almost became his death not because of the dungeon, but because of such a schedule.
He completely forgot about basic needs, about food and drink. And when he noticed that his body was too emaciated and there were bags under his eyes, and his skin became so pale that he could look like a corpse, then he remembered that he had not eaten for three days, and he had not drunk on those days either.
So Kane had to change his schedule. He began to devote more time to food and sleep. And over time, his body more or less returned to normal. But it wasn't enough. So he arranged a day off for himself.
And he was faced with an average problem. That his body simply cannot rest normally. A full rest can only be when he sleeps, and that's all. After all, when he takes control of Kopii's body, his body starts working one hundred percent, especially the muscles - they are always tense. In other words, his body could not rest normally while he was conscious, when he took control of the body.
This was the main disadvantage, but even so, I found a solution to this problem. Everything was quite simple.
Woke up, took control of the body without problems, strangled myself again until I lost consciousness, woke up - and everything all over again. This was the only way how I could let my body relax. The only one that suits me.
After all, there was also a second way - it was already easier. Just don't take over the body, and that's all. But give Kopii time to recover. After all, when I take control of the body, I have never heard his voice. So there is a very high chance that when I take over the body, he just turns off.
In other words, he's sleeping. The less he is conscious, the better. Kane understood: if Kopii wants to take everything back into his own hands, then he cannot stop him in any way.
So Kane had a new goal, and it was to erase the very existence of Kopii. So that his body belonged only to him and no one else. But he could not think of how to do it in any way.
And in general, is it possible? - Kane wondered. After all, if he can destroy the consciousness of Kopii, will he not disappear himself? He appeared thanks to skill and consciousness Kopii. And when he tries to destroy it, it turns out that they are one and the same.
This is what Kane was afraid of. The fear that because of greater power he may lose everything.
