Author's note: Izuku Midoriya is currently 12 years old. However, I'm going to be doing a small time skip of a few months to where he will be 13
We will start with Izuku Midoriya. He's currently sitting outside the mansion in Genosha, floating in the air with his legs crossed. And we do have a scene where he is standing in front of Charles Xavier, as he looks up at the man standing before him. Charles continues his explanation to Midoriya, and they look in a specific direction. Charles begins to create things in the Astral Plane, telling Midoriya that everything he sees here is a result of what he can do. They're walking over and actually walking through a park.
Midoriya asks Charles, "If this place really does exist?"
"Yes, I based it on the park I saw in San Francisco, in America."
"Really? Why there?"
"It was a beautiful place. And besides," he says, looking at Midoriya, telling him that he can learn a lot from just somebody going to a place and looking back on it.
as Charles says, you see two small mutant children run by. Midoriya sees them and watches as a strange glow emanates from them. Midoriya is staring at that as they run by. Midoriya asks Charles, "What is that?"
"Oh, yes, you see it. They give off this aura, don't they? We telepaths can sense it. The mutant gene is very complicated. Through my experience with Cerebro, you were able to see it too. You're seeing things the way I typically see them, a bit jumbled together, but not too different."
Charles continues the explanation, telling Midoriya about how mutant powers are very delicate, and how the peaceful world they've finally achieved is something he wants to keep. Midoriya doesn't understand this. As Charles eventually thinks about telling Midoriya about the power of The Phoenix. As he does want to tell Midoriya, "The young boy deserves to know that the power he has is quite dangerous, and most likely not even his own." But there's just one thing: The Phoenix is destined to doom the X-Men, be their complete downfall. "How is he supposed to tell this young boy that he's going to kill everyone he loves and everyone he's ever met?"
Charles does not say a word about this. The moment the idea occurs to him, he ends the lesson there. Charles has put psychic barriers around the simple thoughts, so as to prevent Midoriya from either not being able to see it or predict it using his Clairvoyance.
We have Midoriya, who does actually open his eyes, as he feels his phone buzzing in his pocket. He pulls it out and goes to answer the phone call, bringing it up to his ear as he says "Hello" in the mutant language. You have Inko on the other line, and she's confused, thinking she dialed the wrong number for a second. Her saying, "Izuku!" before Midoriya does prompt him to think about what he's going to say next. He switches out of the mutant language (I don't know the name of it, anyway).
Midoriya wants to say, "Hey, Mom!" And a confused Inko explains that he was speaking to Genoshan, which I'll just call it for right now. She is confused by that. However, it does make some sense. "Mutants, they should kind of have their own language, technically. She doesn't know too much about it, but she's not gonna question it."
Midoriya would ask her, "What's up?" To which Midoriya 's eyes go white at the next words he hears. With that, we actually have Storm and the telepaths, along with many others, as they see Midoriya take off in a direction, flying. The moment he does take off, a sonic boom is heard. As we do have Kitty Pryde, X-23, Nightcrawler, and a few other new mutants, they are running outside as he does, looking in the same direction he's going.
Midoriya does get home as he comes running through the front door to his house, as you have Hisashi and Inko, who are both sitting there. Midoriya asks his mom, "If it's true?" To which she does try to explain, "Yes, yes, it is." And Midoriya does hear the next words that catch him off guard: he is going to be a big brother.
Midoriya says, " That's great, and he does ask exactly when they found out. To which she would look at Deku and explain that they hadn't realized it, but Inko had been pregnant for a few months now. In fact, she's almost six months pregnant. And Midoriya, he does just seem a lot more surprised. There's only going to be three months before he's a big brother. It's just so surprising.
Yeah, we do have Hisashi, who would stand up and walk over to Midoriya, asking his son if they can both speak outside for a minute. Midoriya, he actually would listen to his father. The two, walking out as they do, begin a conversation. Hisashi does try to explain what is going to happen right now. In their small apartment, they don't have much room. Currently, with the way money is, they can't afford to move to a different place or a bigger apartment. "So since Midoriya's basically left the nest already..."
Midoriya finishes his sentence saying, "It's fine, he doesn't have to worry about it."
"You sure, Izuku?"
"Yeah, Dad, I, I get it, trust me. Besides, I mean, what is it? I'm... I'm basically off the coast of Africa. Not really, some place I can visit every day. Then again, I can fly."
"Yeah, and well, even the place in Japan is not too far away. In fact, I kind of broke the sound barrier a few times on the way here."
"Oh, I was wondering how you got here so fast."
"Yeah, don't worry about it, Dad, trust me, I understand. But just, well, make sure Mom's okay. I know she's not really comfortable with me and my powers, but I just don't want her to worry."
"Izuku, it's not that your mom worries because she's your mother, and there's the fact that, well, you're away from her a lot. Over the last couple of years, your mom felt like she wasn't there, you know? And even I feel like I've been lacking in the father department. Please feel free to stop by every now and then. You're a mutant, sure, but you're our family! You do remember that, right?"
"Oh, of course, Dad. Trust me, no. Sure, everyone I know I think of as family, but you're my dad. I'm not gonna be able to forget you for a long time."
Hisashi does smile as he tells Izuku to be careful out there. Midoriya just tells his dad that he doesn't really have to be careful. "He's fought the Hulk, remember?"
"Of course I have, my boy! But hey, we're gonna start cleaning out your room a bit, okay? Some of the stuff you haven't, well, been around since you were a kid."
"Yeah, I, I k um, just leave it in the box and I'll sort it out next time I come by. I gotta get back, everyone's probably worried about me."
With that, he does go to leave, however, he does have his phone buzz again. He goes to open it up and hear about something at the X-Mansion in Genosha. The X-Men have taken on a case, and they want Izuku to be part of the team. Midoriya tries to gain some insight into what this team is investigating. Cyclops tells Midoriya that the team is investigating what appears to be the disappearance of some mutants.
Midoriya does ask about this. "Why him?"
Cyclops is just talking about how Midoriya does have the ability to, well, "Hide in shadows, doesn't he?"
"Oh, uh, I mean, technically, yeah, I think I can warp shadows and use them to my advantage, but at the same time, I think I can turn my body into him. I don't know. I've only ever done that once during the fight I had."
"Hmm, yeah, yeah, you won't shut up about it, neither will anyone else in the community of mutants. Anyways, just head to the area and investigate."
Midoriya would then be told a phone number to call, as he leaves for the area and calls the phone number. You have Midoriya, who has an earpiece in his ear, and his phone is floating next to him, while he is indeed present in the area. It does appear to be a public space, however, there's nobody here. As we actually have over his earpiece, asking "Powerhouse," as his name is called, if he's found anything. "No, nothing yet. What about on your end?"
"No. Anyways, this is quite particular. Any reason why?"
"Well, mutants have been disappearing all over the country and all over the world. As far as we're aware, they've just been gone without a trace. We're trying to find out about this, but we've had no leads. In fact, Charles himself just thinks that we're more unlucky. However, there are some of our leaders in Genosha, who are concerned about the growing number of disappearances in every single country that they do look into."
Alright, Midoriya, he does investigate further, looking throughout the area and facing the walls, as his face hits the ground. Yeah, he is in the sewers. As he begins to fly, he encounters something going on. There are a ton of people in front of him, and Midoriya can hear gunshots going off and even what appears to be the sound of weaponry, along with harsh explosions.
Midoriya would inform his team that he had found something and instruct them to head to the current address immediately. Midoriya rushes in, smashing into a guy's back as he flies through multiple other enemies. When that happens, Midoriya smashes into a wall as this guy turns around and goes to slash upwards at Midoriya. Midoriya doesn't expect very much, however, he does feel pain across his face as he does go to jump backwards and go on guard, him spinning one hand around and going to attack, him blasting energy directly behind him, along with actually throwing up his hand in front of him, and blasting a powerful beam at his opponents. His opponent, being hit in the chest with the beam, has to go flying backwards into a piece of rebar. It is stabbing directly through their chest and through their torso as it pops through their waist. Midoriya was shocked, thinking for a moment that he hadn't meant for that to happen.
However, the mutant does grab the bar and pull themselves free as they look up at Midoriya, telling him that that was a bad move, as the wound will begin to heal as Sabretooth goes rushing for Midoriya, and when he does look down to see what's going on. Underneath Midoriya, he sees something that horrifies him a lot more than what just happened: Sabretooth being able to catch him off guard because of his distraction. Seeing a colony of mutants below him.
Midoriya sees that these mutants are being decimated by the force attacking the area. Sabretooth attacks Midoriya and stabs him directly in his shoulder with his claws. Midoriya brings his hand up and grabs Sabretooth by the wrist, attempting to snap his wrist and break his arm. The moment he actually does do that, the flesh around Sabretooth's wrist does actually move upwards, and Midoriya does squeeze down as hard as he can. Sabretooth is telling the kid that that's not gonna work. "Adamantium works that way, he knows that, right?" Midoriya brings up his hands and throws them directly into his eyes. Midoriya brings his hand and breaks Sabretooth's arm. He twists the arm in a way where the flesh just pops free and moves away from the bone. Sabretooth screams out in pain, especially as he brings back his head and smashes it forward, and stares at his face.
Midoriya, he does, then lets go of Sabretooth, before bringing his hands backwards and blasting with as much power as he can. Midoriya has to spin around and go to tackle one of these opponents, taking them to the surface, and fly straight into a guy as they smash upwards into the surface world. When that happens, more X-Men arrive, and the opponents begin to try to take down the X-Men, as civilians are caught in the crosshairs.
Many different people are trying to understand what's happening, and we do have Midoriya, who has currently tackled a man who was wielding a firearm. As he does tell the guy, with his hand to his throat, to simply just give up, and that he won't get away with murdering mutants the way he just did. The guy does tell Midoriya that he needs to take him in, "Is that what he's going to do, right? Take him in and allow the law to see what he did?"
Midoriya does think about it for one minute, as we do have his hand, as black claws begin to form and cover Midoriya's entire wrist and hand. Midoriya is just thinking about it as a playing card is thrown directly onto this guy's face. Midoriya looks up to see the card as it explodes, the guy's head popping like a grape. As Midoriya drops his body and backs away, looking up to see a man in a suit holding a deck of cards in one hand, he tells the kid that he's very sorry and that he didn't know they would do this.
Midoriya is tackled to the ground, and he does go to spin around and attack that person. However, he does find that it's somebody he knows, another X-Men. As he turns around to see the other guy, the guy is gone. And Midoriya doesn't know what happened.
With that being said, he has gotten back to the mansion. As the Hero Association and the Genosha Association, or the Mutant Association, are informed about this. A team of humans and mutants was hunting down and killing other mutants. In fact, the same type of wounds that have been found on these people... well, it's sort of strange to classify. There are too many things that they don't know, and apparently, these vigilantes could be human.
