After some time, Midoriya has given his report to the mutant police, and they've been working tirelessly to try and piece everything together. Now, the individual Midoriya encountered, they suspect, was a mutant. However, most of the people who were there today, or who were the perpetrators of this event, are believed to be super-powered individuals, not mutants. Most likely, it's people with quirks. Now, that is quite strange, and Midoriya is trying to explain at least what he knows. Midoriya is being ignored, which does piss him off.
Now, it is brought to light that all around the world, mutants were killed, and that this is seen as an act of war against their kind. In the next few weeks, some mutants of the population all around the world will lash out and retaliate. These super mutant villains are actually what most people would begin to focus on.
As we do have Midoriya, about a week or two later. The wounds from his fight with Sabretooth have healed. Midoriya does have at least small scars on his face, however, the more noticeable ones are actually along his left arm. And people were impressed that somebody was able to hurt Midoriya. Now, after at least explaining it to Logan and bringing up Adamantium, Logan knew immediately who this was, and he knew that something was going on, beginning to talk with Charles [Xavier] and find out exactly what's happening. If a mutant was involved, why hasn't it been mentioned? Why are they keeping quiet about it?
Now, with that being said, we do have Midoriya who is actually in Japan today as he is flying around. Now, Midoriya is going on a regular patrol, and he is wearing a black suit with a yellow X on it, along with a red cape. Now, Midoriya does know that it looks off, pointing to some people. However, this is just the suit that he usually wears. He prefers the red X, but that is not the current color scheme of the X-Men.
Now, Midoriya stumbles upon something going on. A group of people are currently rioting, and they are screaming about mutants and the fear they pose. Now, Midoriya does fly down. Many people look up to see him, as they recognize him immediately. People are quieting down. Midoriya asks them exactly why they're doing this. Somebody stepping up and walking up to the young boy, talking about how mutants have been getting more dangerous, and that he's seen what they've been doing.
Now, Midoriya, he does somewhat understand what they're talking about. They're asking the kid if he knows what it's like. "I'm sorry, what, kid?"
"What I mean is, you don't know anything! How would you feel if you were powerless?"
"And I don't need to think that way! What are you talking about? I've only had my powers for three years! I know what you feel!" Midoriya reaches out a hand. The person goes to smack it away, hurting their hand in the process. Midoriya didn't even flinch. He just brings his hand backwards and somewhat says that they hurt him.
"I didn't mean to! This kid's a monster! He's a freak!" A crowd begins to throw trash at Midoriya as he begins to flap in the air, and he does leave.
Now, Midoriya is trying to think, "Why are people like this? They weren't like this a couple of months ago." Then again, it does make sense. With everything going on, they've all been, well, freaking out. "Damn it! I need to visit Mom! I know she's doing okay now, and I'm starting to worry about her a lot."
With that being said, Midoriya arrives home. Whenever he does land, he pulls his cape off, and he begins to fold it up. As he faces the door, he puts it on the hat rack next to him, walking in and asking, "If Dad's here?"
"Oh, Izuku! I didn't hear you come in!"
"Oh, I used my ability."
"Okay, sorry! It's just you have so many of those, it's hard to keep track!"
"Yeah, sorry, Mom. Alright, are you okay? Do you need anything?"
"Oh, I'm fine, I'm fine. Your father's been taking good care of me."
"I would hope so. Ah, I just tried talking with some protesters earlier."
"And how did that go?"
"Well, they called me a freak."
"Izuku, you can't think that way! They're scared!"
"I know, I know, Mom. It's just, well, I mean, I kind of think they're right! I mean, I've been getting a bit more used to my powers, but I would say..." As he walked over, he got a glass of water and told his mom that he had something she didn't know about.
"Really? Strength? Speed? Durability? Shadow manipulation? Uh, healing factor?"
"Uh, yeah, all those. But..." Midoriya dips his finger in the water as she does, and watches it turn a dark color. Along with watching as steam begins to rise from it. Midoriya pulls his finger out and says, "Here."
She's going to reach for it, as she does take the glass out of his hand, bringing it up to her nose and finding out that Midoriya has turned it into tea. "What?"
"Yeah, uh. Along with that, I'm sort of a telepath, and well, I can phase through objects."
"I see. Well, let's just hope that your sister..."
"My sister? Oh, crap! Wait! Does Dad know it's, uh...?"
"No, he doesn't. Oh man!"
"Oh, [crap]! You're starting to freak me out!"
"Trust me, you are acting a bit like him whenever he found out about you. Really!"
"Yeah, he had to pull himself together, get his act together. He was going to be a father. He felt like he owed it to you. He didn't want you to see him the way he was: reckless, stupid, and sometimes careless. You brought a mature man out of him."
"Huh, well, I, I didn't know that. Yeah."
"Watch, you'll see the same thing about your little sister. You'll turn into someone that you want her to admire, or you'll try to be someone like that. And I hope you become a good man, Izuku, my son. My powerhouse."
"Thanks, Mom."
Now, Midoriya receives an alert on his phone as he tells her he has to go. Now, she would just set down the glass of tea as Midoriya turns and runs off. Him going straight for, well, his cape as he phases straight through the door.
Now, as this does happen, Midoriya does answer his phone as he takes flight while trying to put on his cape. Now, he hears about the conversation. Currently, Charles and a few other X-Men are at this location, and Midoriya needs to arrive. Now, Midoriya would say he'll be there in a minute, as he tries to sense Charles through the Astral Plane. As he finds where Charles's mind is, he heads off in that direction.
Midoriya senses a few familiar minds as he arrives a few minutes later, coming down and landing. A lot of people outside are looking at him as he looks around. "Hm, there are so many people here!"
Now, Charles is telling Midoriya, "There's no time for that right now! Hm, oh, sorry, Professor!"
Midoriya going to step forward and walk into the building. As he does, he has his eyes widened, watching to see that not only are the X-Men here, but so are The Avengers. "Wait!" he says, walking up to Charles, looking over to his left, and asking exactly, "What's going on here?"
"Sorry, this was sudden, however, this is, well, something that we do need to know."
You do have Captain America, who would open his mouth. "You must be Izuku, hm?"
"I would say."
"Looking up, you speak Japanese?"
"Uh, yeah, I do. I learned it recently. We were coming here. Additionally, I had it on my list. Anyways, I heard good things from you from Thor."
"Oh, ah, thank you." Captain America reaches his hand out. Midoriya, as he shakes his own.
Now, he looks over to his right to see The Hulk. The Hulk just looks at him as he gives him somewhat of a smile, talking about how, "Puny child," or "Angry child," as he will call him, "Fight good!"
"Oh, huh, thanks, Hulk! Ah, anyways, now, exactly why am I here?"
"Well, um, that's the thing. You're here to register."
"I'm sorry, 'register'?"
"Yes, you are here to register your mutant powers."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Yes, the process right now, it's something that I disagree with. We have people register their Quirks, and the mutants themselves register their abilities. However, those usually stay within Genosha. You're here to register outside of the nation. This doesn't sound right."
"Yes, well, just the same way that Genosha doesn't have access to public records of any other country with Quirks or Inhumans, we don't have records of them. This law has recently been passed."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Yes, it's a lot to deal with. So we need to register your strength."
"Um, why?"
"Because with the current events that have been happening and transpiring, mutants, they've been seen as a threat."
"A threat? What are you talking about, Captain? Captain America, you know better than anyone! The mutants were targeted because of what the humans did!"
"Young man, don't speak like that!"
"Speak like what? You're seeing humans and mutants separately?"
"Yes, because that's what this was. This wasn't, well, a single incident. With all due respect, sir, you didn't see what happened down there. You didn't see what I saw! You didn't see a man..." He's pausing there as he does, somewhat looking away from the Captain, not wanting to maintain eye contact. "Not see a man what? We are looking up, talking about how he didn't see people die! He didn't see a man's head explode the way it did!"
"Oh! You're having this kid on board with this? No, we didn't expect it to be what it was! That was all, Captain! You got a lot of nerve!" Wolverine goes to state.
Steve Rogers does look at Logan as there is a bit of respect between the two. There always have been. They've both served, and they were even on the same squad at one point. However, that was before he knew Logan.
You also have Iron Man, who just tells them that this is all for the better. "For right now, let's allow the humans to study them."
"Study? I thought that was illegal!"
"Well, technically, yes. But with your abilities on record, we can look into them and use the data that we can compile from them to..."
"I'm not doing this!" Midoriya would say now.
Steve does smile somewhat as Tony is taking notice to that. "What, young man, you have to!"
Tony Stark continues, his mask coming up, and you can see him and his mustache. (I just want to say that, anyway.) Here, let's discuss how this would provide them with a wealth of data to work with, and "Mr. Stark, correct?"
"Yes. You are aware of what we learned in history? What we're taught?"
"Uh, I believe so, yes. But I can assure you this isn't gonna happen like what you think."
"Like what I think?" Midoriya floats up into the air to meet Tony at eye level. As you have Colossus, who grabs the boy by the shoulder and begins to pull him backward. Now, he just says that the boy has been through a lot, and not to let his emotions try and dictate his actions or what he's trying to say.
Now, Midoriya just looks down as he tells Charles that he's sorry, but he disagrees with this, before going to fly through the roof. Now, somebody does go to stop him before Midoriya just phases through them and leaves.
Now, there is more of a conversation, and even Steve tells Tony that he disagrees with this. However, he does understand the concerns and threats it could pose. "This would allow them to identify criminals who are mutants easily."
"Yes, but at the same time, well, you start identifying people by what they are, and well, you know the rest."
This does begin to spark a few things, and Steve and Tony do have a small argument before we have Charles Xavier, who would stop Iron Man on his way out, wanting to speak with him about a few things. He hands over a folder to him and tells him exactly what he needs to do: to prepare in case a threat does someday emerge.
