Kia took a short pause before he continued.
"Don't throw threats when we can resolve this. Tell me step by step what exactly happened. Did you use it wrong? Did you mix it with anything? Did someone interfere? As of now, I don't know why you're accusing me. Did I do something wrong? If so, tell me. Help me understand."
There was a pause, filled only by the sound of Zakaria's younger brother's ragged breathing, the sharp inhale and exhale of a man on the brink of exploding. And then, his voice came through the receiver, hard and venomous.
"Yes, you did something wrong!" he snapped. "The poison you gave me, the one you swore was flawless, the one you said no man could survive I used it. I did exactly as you instructed. Every word, every step, I followed it. And guess what? It didn't work. Not only is my brother alive, but he's healthier than before!"
