Chapter 84 - Nightmare

Somehow, against all odds, divine intervention, and my superior talent at avoiding awkward situations, I managed to dodge Mr. Jeon for the entire day.

Don't ask me how—I basically played Olympic-level hide and seek in the office. Imagine a ninja, but dressed in office attire and carrying stacks of useless files as camouflage. That was me.

Yesterday, I didn't even wait for him after work. Nope. As soon as the clock struck six, I bolted out of there like Cinderella at midnight. Uber was my pumpkin carriage, and I wasn't about to risk fueling the raging bonfire of rumours with a story like: "Did you know Mr. Jeon dropped Miss Kim home in his black luxury car?? They must be living together secretly!!"

Absolutely not.

If that happened, I'd be dead meat. Charred. Toast.

Yesterday was a nightmare.

Like, not just a bad dream, but a full-on, Freddy Krueger-level horror where instead of claws, everyone had keyboards and thumbs ready to roast me alive in the office group chat.
