"SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!" echoed the blows as Mei slammed her fist with all her strength against the cold, hard wall of the room. Each hit left a slight crack.
"Slow down... Watch your hand, don't overdo it..." said Kai in a gentle tone, a hint of concern in his voice.
Mei turned to him, a smile appearing on her face as if the pain meant nothing to her. "I'm fine…" she said shortly, then immediately turned back and continued striking. "SMACK!"
Kai crossed his arms, tilting his head slightly to the side. "What level are you?" he asked curiously.
Without stopping her blows, Mei glanced over her shoulder and, out of breath, replied, "Five… And you?"
Kai blinked. "Huh?" he asked, confused. "I'm only level three!"
"Too slow…" Mei panted as she threw her final punch. The wall cracked in a wave of dust, stones scattering across the floor. "Done…" she added, wiping the blood from her knuckles.
