After saving the boy and running away, I took him to grandfather's library. The boy was named Liam.
After I had saved Liam and ran away, the gang didn't leave us alone and tried chasing us but ultimately fell behind.
...Liam thanked me for saving him, apparently he was a mage from another city.
When I asked him why he was in Francis, he answered that he was kidnapped while he was on the way to another city.
So he was kidnapped, huh?
"You were kidnapped by the gang?.."
I asked with a doubtful expression, if he were kidnapped then he'd have been in some basements, not getting harassed by a gang.
"I was kidnapped by an organization of dark humans.. and escaped, after I escaped I was caught by these bastards and then harassed."
Liam replied with a serious tone.
Oh, so it's not just a gang but an organization.
"Such organizations existed here?.."
Liam replied with a nod.
I didn't know about such organizations because I was a shut-in, until I reached 17. Maybe grandfather kept it from me because I'd be screwed if I got involved with such organizations.
Did that old geezer really think I was a idiot who's blind or something?.. tsk, I know when I shouldn't act a hero and when I should. Even when I saved Liam I was carefully considering my choices...
Maybe that old geezer's just really protective. But I'm 17 years old now.. I'm at an age capable of thinking for self and analyzing situations quite well already.
Oh well, I can't help it.. there goes my plans to live peacefully with my grandfather.
Even though, I still had dreams to be a hero, a hero doesn't mean someone who just goes straight into trouble without thinking through anything..
And I miscalculated here because I only thought it was a gang, they were wearing similar clothes and they had weird tattoos on them so it was a reasonable thought.
But it was an organization instead, I've screwed up. And a dark human organization, he says...
Liam was walking around the library and relaxing, but I thought that was stupid.
How could he be so relaxed like that still? He just got kidnapped and got harassed after escaping. And even though this library was quite far from the last place we were at, it's not exactly safe from them!
As soon as they finds out I'm from this library, the library will be destoryed, and the old geezer's house wouldn't be safe either.
I sighed, I wanted to tell him this but I didn't because It's better for him to stay like that... He's younger than me, so let's spare him the stress.
Currently, the old geezer was probably out doing something. He's usually in the library, just where did he go anyways?
As soon as he comes back, I was going to convince him to leave this lawless city with me as soon as possible.
