The 3 men were then engulfed in flames while being trapped in "sealing magic". It was not a high level sealing magic but one that sealed the foot of someone who stepped on it.
It only lasts few seconds but that should be enough, we've prepared to use fire magic repeatedly to kill them the moment they were trapped anyways!
Gritting my pain and enduring the pain, I repeatedly cast just 2 basic fire magic spells at the 3 men. They were completely burnt after 5 seconds, just the time until the sealing magic set off.
Huuu... I did it. I have killed.. someone. Strangely enough, even though it was my first time killing, I didn't feel any sort of guilt.
I was only glad that they're gone, but the same couldn't be said for Liam.
Liam was clearly traumatized, having to burn down these men just to live... And hearing their screams while they burnt.
It sounded incredibly painful, for a mage like him that lived in a city with laws and security that's made of heroes, he'd never have to watch such things happen in front of him.
But this was a lawless city and there was no hero to protect the people who lived here.
I didn't comfort Liam for it. I was thinking about running away immediately. It wasn't over yet. No, we wouldn't be safe until we escape to another city that has heroes to protect us.
I was only waiting for the old geezer so that we could leave, but why did this old geezer have to disappear on such a day!?

They weren't as strong as a hero or a dark human.
But then someone with a completely different aura from those of the earlier 3 men entered the room, I could immediately tell that it was a dark human.
I wasn't talented in sensing mana but I could feel it, the dark mana that was in his body. Both Liam and I were exhausted after defeating the 3 men..
But only a few minutes after we finally defeated them, a dark human came. My body completely froze, I'm going to die here!
But why would they chase Liam to this extent? Does he have an amazing "gift" or something?!..

The dark human then looked straight at me.
I lost my composure the moment our eyes met, the look in his eye was full of bloodlust.

We were quite far away from each other.. but the dark human was close to Liam than me and the geezer.
As if making fun of both me and the geezer, the dark human quickly regenerated his lost arm and used it to crush Liam's head and killed him in one go.
