The final stage of the second martial test finally commenced and standing in the ring was Iris, the other five candidates from winterwood village who passed the first match, Sima ke and another youth from the second external power.
When the match was about to begin, the five candidates from winterwood village looked at each other and nodded to a silent agreement.
"Miss Long, please win for us and go to the imperial capital city so that us from the winterwood village will never be looked down upon by anyone" One of them said before they all turned to the referee and said they wished to forfeit the match!.
In the end Iris, Sima ke and the other youth were the only candidates left in the ring. The referee was helpless and could only change the rules of the match.
"The new rule of this match is, the last person standing, will be declared the winner and will be advancing to the final test in the imperial capital city" The referee said.
"Begin!" He said again before moving to the side.
Iris stood motionless and just stared quietly at her opponents. Her quietness made the other youth think she was scared.
"Ah! I say little lady, even with your Yellow spirit you're still scared so silly that you cannot even move? Pathetic!" He spat before he continued.
"If you can't even put up a fight just forfeit and go nurse that loser brother of yours" He said before laughing smugly.
Iris moved suddenly! She combined her qi and her moves as an assassin together. She was so fast that the youth was momentarily shocked and that just gave Iris the opportunity to strike!. She struck him with a killing move but not with enough qi to actually take his life but enough to put him in Comatose for a long time!. The place where Iris struck him at the back of his neck had a thin cut which was bleeding!.
After executing her move, Iris returned to her original position and unleashed her qi to the fullest!.
Sima ke wasn't intimidated and also unleashed his, knowing that his power was in no way inferior to hers. He felt that the youth from the other power let his guard down which was why, Iris could take him down in one move.
Iris didn't let Sima ke move first before she moved. She knew her speed and assassin movements were enough to let her make moves without much difficulty but she wouldn't be able to take too much strikes from Sima ke because he was already a whole level ahead of her and also his Solid foundation built from years of cultivation.
Iris unleashed her footwork and assassin moves to the fullest leaving lots of after images!. She needed to trick Sima ke Into attacking those after images while she struck and avoided his hits.
Sima ke struck several times using fifty percent of his qi while Iris threw Sneak Killing moves that left cuts and bruises on Sima ke! Iris finally understood the importance of a Solid foundation from the unsatisfying wounds on Sima Ke's body.
Iris decided to make him loose a lot of blood which would be beneficial to her.
This continued for a while before Sima ke realized what Iris was doing. He was so angry that he felt like crushing her bones into powder and in a feat of rage, He released his qi so much that he spat out a mouthful of blood! While Iris who didn't expect him to go berserk, was hit by the strong qi and immediately vomited several mouthfuls of blood and her face paled slightly. She cluched her chest while gasping for breath and taking into note to Strengthen her foundation and body. But she knew the consequences of releasing such qi. She knew that Sima ke has caused himself internal injuries so she moved immediately. Pushing her wounded body, she channeled her slightly weakened qi into her footwork and arrived before Sima ke before striking him with a kill move that would turn him vegetable after he wakes up from a very long comatose and then watched him fall down unconscious feeling better for avenging her brother's grievance.
After Sima ke fell, Iris spat out another mouthful of blood because she had further increased her own internal injuries by releasing that very move.
"The..... Result?...."Iris asked the referee with a pale face.
"T...the winner is Miss Long Xu lan!!" The referee declared. There wasn't any sound at first but after a few seconds, the dumbfounded audience let out roar of applause, whistling and cheers while others chanted 'Long Xu lan'.
As for Iris, her body could no longer hold and her eyes rolled back as she blacked out!.
