Chapter 24 - Recognition From The Dwarf, Realization From The Demon

Having thought this, Kael slowly turned away. He decided to leave the kingdom quietly while everyone was still focused on Aster. But the problem was, how could he call for Eryn without drawing their attention?

He glanced over his shoulder, silently praying for the young mercenary to look his way again. But Eryn's cold gaze remained fixed on the dwarf king, his expression clearly displeased with the king's decision.

Kael looked up, feeling a flicker of frustration. Right, how could he forget? The deal they made involved retrieving the relic. If Kael failed to do so, then Eryn would not receive his payment—was that what he was thinking?! Kael worried, anxiety creeping in.

He was still contemplating whether to reveal his presence or not when the dwarf king spoke again.
