It was weekend and Elena didn't need to go to the office. So, her mother Evelyn had planned to take Elena out to meet one of her friends. Elena also wanted to spend time with her mother, so she didn't decline. After all, after her rebirth, she had barely spent time with her parents. Either they were busy with their work or she was. Moreover, since she had restricted her social circle to just Vanessa and Evan until now, Elena wanted to take this chance and widen her circle.
"Elena, sweetie are you ready?" Evelyn knocked on Elena's bedroom door.
"Yes mom, just 2 minutes," Elena replied.
Evelyn looked at her watch and it was 9.45 am. They had to reach their destination by 11 am as she had decided to meet her friend for brunch. She didn't want to be late as she was very punctual and her being late would cast Elena in bad light which she didn't want to happen. Thankfully, Elena didn't take much time and quickly opened the door.
"Let's go," Evelyn smiled at her daughter.
