Chapter 1 - my first death

As the snow fell, an old, wrinkled man walked, shivering through the cold, desperately trying to reach the village of Mossglen. The old man opened his mouth and shouted to his heart's content:

"Why—why me?!"

Noah started reminiscing about the times with his friends—how they were taken by demon-like and god-like beings. He remembered how they laughed at him for not being special.

He started crying blood at the thought of his sister, Lilly, calling for him while being taken by a woman with nine white fox tails.

In the next few seconds, Noah fell to the ground, holding his chest tightly. His heart started pounding so hard it felt like it would burst. What made it worse was the thought that he had been unable to do anything to save his friends and sister from those monstrous beings.

He thought back to fifty years ago, before they entered the strange world. He wished he could have a second chance—hoping to save his friends.

And then it happened.

His heart burst—exploding—and he died.

But at that very moment, as he died, his Soul was drawn to darkness And for a moment, a clock like object had appeared and disappeared and Noah stood in darkness.
